AI makes my life happier
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This changed my quality of life. I used to use washer and dryer separately but having this streamlined my life dramatically. I just need to put my clothes in and the AI feature measure the load and does its job so perfectly.

Year 1: Learned the machine and now very happy!
I've had this product for just over a year now and it has been excellent for our family. It was a bit of a positive lifestyle change because now we run laundry once every day or two (family of 4) rather than devoting an entire weekend day to marathon laundry. One of my favorite parts is that I no longer worry about wet clothes sitting forgotten in a washer. Normal full loads are typically 2-3 hours to wash and dry. Towels can get closer to 5-6 hours so we definitely save those for last load of the night if there are multiple loads. Much less lint than our old dryer and clothing color and texture seems to last longer. Wrinkles do happen more frequently than with the old dryer; I believe this is because the heat pump drying is a softer heat so clothes aren't basically ironed like in a high heat dryer. We don't have issues with it if we either remove laundry right after the load is done, or we remember to turn on Laundry Care, which tosses the laundry around every couple minutes after the cycle so it doesn't stay in one place to develop wrinkles. There are reviews about drying and lint trapping no longer working. I had this problem too. Turns out I wasn't cleaning the lint filter good enough. You need to run the lint filter under tap water and rub the screen between your fingers to actually clean it out. I had tried everything else and this seemed insignificant, but it worked! I do it once a month now and no issues since. I recommend this product after one year of use.

Very easy to use
The things I love about the washer/dryer. 1 it saves space all in one unit. 2. Automatic dispensers and easy-to-use controls. 3. No external dryer vent needed. 4. Set the controls and you can go about your day when you return the complete wash dry cycle is completed. 5. It seems easier on your clothes no extreme heat like a traditional dryer. 6. It is very efficient uses a small amount of energy. Draw backs 1. It takes longer to do your laundry you don't have separate machines running at same for multiple loads. 2. If you like extra hot dry temperatures this is not for you. 3. It doesn't remove lint like a traditional dryer I wouldn't recommend with pets that shed alot of hair.
HORRIBLE
I cannot even begin to explain how horrible this product actually is!! The dryer NEVER actually turns off. It will stay on forever even if the clothes have finally gotten dry. (About 5 to 6 hours to dry one bath towel, 2 hand towels and a couple of washcloths) Water continually collects in the lint filter, even after 5 to 6 hours of drying, and yes I take it apart frequently to clean everything. The condenser coil gets dirty and wet too. I might also add that this machine is a total fail at the wash/dry feature. All the clothes collect at the back of the machine drum. They then dry stuck to the back of the drum. Every load I must pull them off the back of the drum and rearrange them so in a few hours they will be dry. Because I really wanted a smaller footprint in my utility room I am now a slave to this waste of money.

VERY smart, safe saving, efficient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I really love this unit! It definitely changes the way that I do laundry. It's set it and forget it. I did have a couple of issues in the beginning, but that seems to have been resolved by adding pressure regulators and water hammer arrestors, which I probably should have had anyway. The unit does build up a lot of lint around the rubber door seal, but that's not awful to deal with. It's a bit of a trade off but a good trade off overall.
DONT BUY!
This washer/ dryer combo SUCKS! Takes 3+ hrs to dry noteven a full load! The filter system SUCKS! I have to use a small hand held vaccum to get the lint around the washer drum… to suck out! Hardly any lint goes to the top filter where it’s suppose to go! When I use wash/dry cycle…. The computer counts down to 4 minutes….. then start scouting upwards! So I can’t ever put on n leave n go to bed cuz it would still be running when I wake up! I HATE IT! Stay away from this combo! Robin.

Space saver! Great unit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it! Is it perfect, no..but the space, time and energy savings make up for any shortcomings on this unit. We decided to go with the All-In One combo because our other units took up so much space, we constantly dropped cloths on the floor when moving from the washer to the dryer and we were constantly having to switch loads. This all-in-one combo save so much space and has also allowed us to cover up the vents in the laundry room that were letting all the cold air in the house because we no longer have to vent out. Does this take a little more time to dry on some loads..yes, but so what? It’s fine. I have seen some complaints about the lint being around the rubber gasket..again, not a big deal. As long as you use a damp cloth/sponge and clean it at the same time as you remove the lint from the trap..no biggie! This is a GREAT unit and I would buy again!
LIFESAVER!
This washer has saved my life! As a busy Mom of 3 I can just throw in a load and not have to think about it and then it's ready to be folded! It is one unit so it fits in my tiny house perfectly, it looks sleek and it does the job right every time. Some of the best money I've ever spent in my life!

Convenient Setup
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this unit. It does a great job washing and is incredibly quiet during the wash cycle. It is a little bit noisier during drying due to the compressor, but still relatively quiet. I was a little apprehensive about the switch to a heat pump dryer, so we kept our original dryer to use to quick dry items in emergencies. We have used the old dryer maybe twice in 5 months. The heat pump drying does tend to take longer than the traditional dryer, but the fact that there is no delay between washing and drying makes up for it. For drying, you can select Normal, Energy Saver, or timed dry. Normal is not much longer than a traditional dryer for most items, while Energy Saver is probably double the drying time of a traditional dryer. The only thing to be aware of is the lint/hair removal requirements. You will need to rinse the lint filter occasionally and do a quick 10 second vacuum of the duct that leads to the lint filter every now and then. The rubber door gasket also collects some lint/hair, but a wet paper towel or rags collects it all easily. In all, it's probably 5-10 mins of maintenance a month, which is more than worth it because of the time saved by not moving every load to a dryer, not to mention the energy savings.
Good, but keep space in mind
This is an initial review. Been using this machine for a few days now. Seems to work fine. Drying is slow, but it's quiet making night time wash/dry cycles possible. Energy usage is low. My main issue is the door not being reversible. Ours is in a small corner of an L shaped kitchen with the right side of the unit against the wall. We only have a few feet in front of the unit so I have to push myself into the corner, open the door and then, being 6' 1", I can't bend down enough to reach the back of the machine. I have to use an extension grabber like one uses after surgery. If they hinged the door to swing out and then open 180 degrees it would not be a problem, but it doesn't do that. So be mindful of your space before buying. LG, I know it's an washer/dryer combo, but I'm still sure you could design a reversible door or one that opens wide.
Hey there. Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you appreciate the overall performance of your washer/dryer combo, including its quiet operation and energy efficiency. We also value your insight regarding the door design, especially for tighter spaces. Your suggestion for a reversible or wider-swinging door is important, and we will certainly share this feedback with our design team as we continue to improve our products. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you for choosing LG! ^ Diego
