I pursued a two in one combo as my laundry room has an awkward layout and a single unit addressed some space concerns. The wash cycles work well. No complaints. But the unit is maintenance heavy compared to a traditional top load washer and separate dryer. The dry time is also a bit inconvenient. As a single person, I make it work and the advantage of the space savings still out weight the cons of the unit. But I would be leery to recommend this for a family. It has more cycle presets than I need, all of whihch seem basically the same, and then missing some other features I would like, such as controlling the dry temp or allowing for no heat drying. The capacity is great, fits my cotton king duvet, but... takes multiple dry cycles to actually get it dry. 4-6 hours in some cases and usually I have to let it air dry for the last bit. If you purchase this or other two in ones, make sure you perform the recommended maintenance, keep your loads smaller to not be inconvenienced by dry time, and if you have a multi person house hold, you may want to wait a few years when the technology inevitably gets a little better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this product for a few months now. I combined the detergent and softener as one since I personally choose to avoid softener products. So I pour the detergent in both, super convenient! I like how easy the lint trap is to empty, easier than a front load dryer. I've learned that the dryer tends to leave clothes wrinkly if I don't use permanent press. But when I do a load of blankets, delicates or my general load, there isn't an issue. I agree with some of the other comments that the clothes may initially appear slightly damp but when I shake them out to fold or hang, they are usually dry enough. I'm not a fan of how much lint is left around the plastic when you open the door. I have to be careful sometimes taking clothes out so they don't get covered in it. It's kind of gross. That's my biggest complaint. If you're looking for convenience, this is definitely a winner!

I was skeptical at first and actually didn’t want to learn a new appliance nor read a 59 page manual. Fear not my friends! It’s actually pretty easy to use! I was also skeptical when I saw that it had a run time of 3 hours to do both the washing and drying. After using it for a while now I realized it actually saves me time. I never was on top of the wash cycle with my old unit anyway and probably would not get to it when it was exactly done OR forget I had clothes that need to be switched to the dryer so I would have to re-wash the clothes. Now I can leave the house for work and it’s completely done by the time I get home. I’ve also used the wash only cycle to remove some clothes I wanted to air dry and continue with drying. But honestly I trust it now more to do both because the dryer is so gentle on my clothes. It doesn’t over dry them, nor shrink them. I do use the app it comes with to tell me when the cycle has finished and that’s a cool feature. It’s big enough to wash a fluffy comforter and it’s delicate enough to take care of a cashmere sweater (not drying of course). The other cool bit is the automatic detergent dispenser. You fill a chamber and you never need to think about it, at least for 30 some odd loads. My old machine had liquid soap all over it and I always managed to spill a bit of detergent in the fabric softer area. Not anymore! The machine itself is solid and extremely quiet. We live in a small brownstone and space and storage is always a problem. This machine works well in small spaces! We did purchase the storage drawer as an added accessory, and I recommend doing that. Keeps everything nice and tidy and raises the machine a bit. This appliance has totally changed the “dreaded doing laundry day”. Only if it could fold and put the clothes away! Bravo LG!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After moving, I had to change the new washer and new dryer and decided to use washer/ dryer combo for the first time. On the day of installation, I was a little confused when I was told that I had to choose only either washer or dryer for haul away service. My first impression was that it is a simple design, as seen in the photo, and went well with the laundry room. Because I did not know how much amount of laundry would be fit for perfect dry, I felt like it wasn't completely dried at first, but I was able to gradually get to the appropriate amount. The most convenient thing is that if you do laundry late at night, you can finish drying without moving it to another dryer machine, and connect the LG App to receive notifications when washing or drying is finished. It would be nice to have the ability to add a drying cycle through the LG App while washing is in progress.

the LG Wash combo All in One is a sleek machine in appearance and operation. Installation was straight forward and we were happy to gain back the space the old dryer inhabited. The programming is easy to use though I do recommend reviewing the instructions. We have not tried the ap yet. I have some older concert t-shirts that need delicate washing for preservation. The menu offers options beyond our old unit and works well. I was curious how effective the dryer would be without the need of a vent. It does take longer than our old dedicated unit. However I notice that it seems to be generating far less lint. This is likely going to extend the life of the laundry items. I can see that many will appreciate the ability to locate this machine in a place where a 220volt outlet, and dryer venting is not necessary.

Disappointed. When it works it’s great unfortunately that’s about half of the time. Door leaks with a heavy load dry times are very long with towels and blankets. The lint trap system is terrible and if it isn’t cleaned for 10 minutes every time it’s used it will fault to and run forever until you turn it off. The design of the lint trap system is terrible and to take it apart it feels like it will break on reassembly. My last LG washer we bought in 2008 and is still going.

Compact design makes it a great space saver and ventless drying is like sci-fi compared to the old dryers with lint filled vent tube. We have been using the combo for some months now and it's convenient to start and load and not worry about moving the clothes from washer to dryer. It took us a few loads to realize that the drain tube at the front bottom left needs to be drained periodically for the drying to work well. Overall, we are happy customers and have recommended to many of our friends (especially those in apartmeent or looking for an upstairs washer-dryer.
