It’s really a life changer as I don’t need to move the laundry from the washer to dryer. I could leave home for hours once I put everything into washcombo and come back home to fresh laundry.

That said, as others have noted, often the unit will get “stuck” in the dry cycle and run indefinitely until manually paused. The clothes are dry and the unit is extremely hot, but it continues to dry without stopping. This is extremely worrisome and dangerous.

We have had this washer/dryer for 3 months and quite like it. It washes and dries very well, while looking sleek and modern. We replaced a gas dryer that stopped working, and a top load washer. Our washing/utility room is small, so we really appreciate having only one unit versus two. It is also great to no longer have worries about lint buildup and possible fires in our dryer vent line, which runs from one side of our home to the other. This unit is ventless. Is this unit like a "normal" washer and dryer? No. So it is important to watch reviews and how-to's and maintenance tips on YouTube. Once you understand how this appliance operates, you will appreciate it greatly. The Energy Label showed an astoundingly low annual energy use for this appliance! My wife and I are retired so she runs the machine during the day, but its best use IMO (the unimportant one) would be to program it to run during the night when energy costs are low, and when the longer than conventional dryer time cycle will not impact you. If you plan your laundry cycles well you can save energy costs while doing lots of laundry for a larger family. Since the time to do a wash then dry cycle, without having to move the clothes between two appliances, is longer than with conventional washers and dryers, this appliance is not the one to do all your laundry on Saturday morning. Rather you should do a load per overnight say Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, or something similar. And since the dryer, being a heat pump unit with high efficiency, will take longer to dry your load, make sure you learn how to minimize the water in your damp clothes by maximizing the spin cycle(s). If you use this appliance to its best abilities, you should be very pleased with it.

The fact that I can put my clothes in and go do other things, even run short errands, is wonderful!! My load of towels dried completely, which was not the case with my previous dryer. So much more energy efficient, too, which is important to me. I especially like the ezDispense feature which saves on detergent and fabric softener. All in all, this product has definitely been a win - win for me. I will certainly share this with my family and friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my machine for a couple weeks now and for the most part it does do a normal load in under 2 hours, but I have found that some loads like towels will take longer. There seems to be a little more maintenance to this machine then a reguar one. You have to periodically clean the boot because lint builds up on it. The machine is fairly quiet no louder then my old front loader, it also seems to spin at a much higher speed. It seems to have a little smell maybe like a mechanical smell when i initially take the clothes out, but it seems to go away and the clothes smell clean. We bought a pedastal with a washer called the sidekick because the machine does sit lower then my old front load washer so we needed to raise it up some. Overall I am happy with it.

In addition, it is equipped with a variety of washing functions, so it is convenient to wash clothes and laundry amounts separately, and it is convenient because it is equipped with a sufficient amount of container so that detergent does not have to be replenished every time you wash. Moreover, it is less noisy than the existing product, so it is not annoying to make a reservation while sleeping. Also, since it can start with Wi-Fi, it is convenient to save time by running it anytime, anywhere with a smartphone. However, in the case of drying, since it is operated by electricity, it takes longer to dry than gas.

I kept my old dryer so I can do 2 loads at less time. It cleans well and very quiet with much less vibration than my old washer. Lastly, i had odor issue with my old front load washer. With this unit running both wash and dry, no moisture is left inside which prevents odor, bad smell.

I have had my combo for a month now. It has a learning curve and for the most part I am really satisfied with it. I love not having to worry about moving the wash from washer to dryer. Still learning how to use the different cycles and haven't mastered the app yet but I will.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this unit yesterday and ran 3 washes: towels; shirts and pants; sheets. They all came out perfectly clean, fully dried and fluffed. I was incredibly nervous getting this machine, seeing so many one-star ratings with concerns. Are others overloading it? Not clearing the washer and dryer filters? I’m not sure. I had none of their issues. The multi-dispenser for detergent and fabric softener makes this machine even more convenient. Just put in detergent for 15 loads and it’ll dispense automatically. Steam. Wash only. Dry only. Keep clothes fresh if delay to emptying. Turbo wash. Remote start. Software update- new feature addition via the app. Ultra easy. The app was easy to set up. Sending commands or running it remotely is easy. Note that I had an issue with the delivery date: the LG website promises one date but that’s completely false; the delivery logistics company had completely different dates weeks later.
