Bad Sensor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sensor doesn’t work on our unit. I threw our first load of towels in on the towel setting at 9pm and went to bed. My husband opened the laundry room fort at 7:30 am. The washer/dryer combo was still drying. The room was very hot and the towels had been dry, I’m sure, for hours. This was on a Saturday. 2 repairmen came on Friday. They took it apart and cleaned it, didn’t replace the sensor. We haven’t heard back from them yet. I’ve been letting all loads run for 3-4 hours. If it doesn’t stop drying by then I open the door and everything is dry. I let the last load of towels run for 4 1/2 hours. It didn’t quit, but was very dry. I don’t like our clothes getting over dry. I don’t feel safe leaving the dryer unattended. I would not recommend purchasing.

Faulty Machine. DO NOT BUY

Don’t get this product. It’s nice at first and pretty and the idea of having a washer and dryer combo is a cool idea. It is quiet, but not efficient in drying properly. Pet hair is an issue too. You can’t wash large loads of laundry and expect them to dry. You have to run a dry cycle 4-5 times sometimes to even get your clothes remotely dry. Of course it isn’t ventilated it’s all electronically heated so that poses an issue of drying properly. Ours also started leaking even with all the cleaning and safety regulations we do after each wash. A huge pool of water below the machine occurred out of no where and none of the filters or parts seemed to be damaged and we did all we were suppose to do to clean it after each use. Don’t get this combo.

Positive Experience

So far the washer/dryer combo has performed as well as we hoped it would. It's nice to be able to throw a load of clothes in the washer at bedtime and not have to worry about switching it over to a dryer. And the saved space from having only one machine is a bonus. Although the owner's manual has to be accessed online, operating the machine is fairly intuitive.

So far so good

Purchased in Feb. Takes up less space in laundry room! Has worked out well for us. We were constantly leaving wet clothes in washer and having to rewash them. This is no longer an issue. Unfortunately the lint filter got stuck and couldn’t remove it without damaging it, but LG is sending a new one free of charge. The app is nice and gives more options for different cycles. Over all pleased with machine, time will tell.

Comes with design defectives

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lint trap is defective. After doing 2 loads my lint trap broke and LG had to send me a new one. Dealing with LG was a nightmare - they were slow to respond, stopped responding, I had to nag them every day, meanwhile I had no working washer. This is a known defect design flaw, see Reddit for more. Shame on LG.

Amazing, this is a game changer. Super Slick.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's start with I installed it myself, so I can't blame anyone if anything goes wrong. It was leveled perfectly and installed correctly. This thing is amazing, love the looks, it feels great too. Nice LCD display. This thing is quiet, like super quiet. It is also extremely energy efficient and the app tracks energy use and cycles, it is so sweet, it also has over-the-air updates, and adding to the app was very simple. Pretty much all the features including remote start are on the app and it gives you real-time info during cycles, it can't get better than that. While not perfect, this is just so good. So an entire cycle (wash/dry) of a basket of mixed clothing took about two hours, that's about the same as my washer and gas dryer if I move the clothes from one to the other right away which never happens. I'm telling you, this is so good. It is so good, I would just sit in front of it and watch it do its thing. So I did the AI wash and does do a few cycles to determine the best wash, and how accurate and real it is, only time will tell but it does act like it knows what is doing, it said things like sensing load, sensing load/cloth type, and detecting soil level as well as optimizing AI wash, so then all I can say it is doing something. The mixed-clothed basket came out great, fresh, clean, dry, and unwrinkled, and I have to say better than my premium W/D machines. During the wash cycle, it doesn't keep a lot of water on the drum, it simply seems to often spray onto the clothes while washing which I think is more efficient and gives better results. I'm impressed. If I had the money, I would buy another and get rid of my other two machines, imagine, essentially having 2 washers and 2 dryers taking up the same area as your standard W/D, crazy and so energy efficient, truly a game changer, now I know this not new technology, they are very common in Europe (they don't dry well in Europe), but of this size, basically as big as my other two W/D, that is super nice and to be so energy efficient, yeah it is awesome. I highly recommend it, I haven't done bulky loads yet so we will see how that goes, I can only expect to exceed my expectations. An absolute must-buy and a great value. I do have two cons, one is that the lint will stick the rubberized area around the door on the inside, I get it, it is a washer and a dryer, so maybe the need to look for a new material, my guess is they have to use that because you can technically just wash and not dry, so that might be required, it is not bad but could be annoying. By the way, cleaning the top lint storage is so simple and so good, never have to touch the lint, so that is also a winner, it is just a slider that dumps it in the trash, as easy as 1,2,3. The other con is the light, great light by the way, but you have to take too many steps in options to turn it on and it does turn off by itself after like 10 min, I would love it if I could leave it on at all times or have an easy way to access without using the menu, this could accomplish on the app if it had it and when I said almost all the features are on the app, this one is missing so LG if you are listing, this would nice to have. 5 out of 5 for sure and I rarely do reviews so I'm doing this because I want to share how amazing this Combo washer is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exceeds my expectations. I had a dryer stacked on a washer and could not get behind it as I have a laundry room in a condo. Now all I do is throws laundry in and hit start. Detergent and softener dispenses automatically.

Solid combination machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this 2 months ago and am happy with it, after learning and correcting a few things. First, we noticed a loud noise during the spin cycle. Eventually, i discovered it was a rattling back panel in the pedestal, which u solved by removing the drawer and placing a piece of cardboard between the panel and frame. We also had issues with the machine not drying after about 3 weeks and tried everything to address it with no luck. Then, I tried draining the basin and cleaning the drain filter (all easy to do from the front bottom left panel of the machine) and that solved it- before I did that the drain backed up so water was dripping back into the tub from the condenser. It was an easy fix and I guess that will just have to be something I check occasionally. Otherwise we're really happy with it.

Bad drying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly I bought this 2 weeks ago and I am not satisfied. It washes great but drying is another story. I’ve tried every combination of wash and dry and it is not drying properly. Also the smell! My clothes come out smelling like burnt rubber. It should not be that bad. It’s very unfortunate. Now I’m just going to make other arrangements to have the 220 installed and buy the tower.

Big disappointment

I have been trying to get the washer/dryer fixed since February 4. American Home Shield has had service people here 10 times and they still haven’t fixed it. It leaks from underneath and the dryer won’t shut off. It keeps running until manually shut off. I would never recommend it to anyone.
