You will regret buying this
I regret this purchase. This does not work well. It takes the whole day to dry a load and even after that the clothes are still damp and need to be air dry.

dryer not working
I bought it in Oct 31, 2024 and just over a year it is not working. Got it serviced, the PCB board is not working and now the part is discontinued. Not recommending.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. We’re disappointed to hear about the service and part availability concerns you experienced. Should you ever need help, please don’t hesitate to call 1-888-542-2623, Monday–Sunday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET.
Dryer Nonfunctional. Waste of money
Waste of money just an overpriced washing machine. The dryer function doesn't work clothes will never get dry. Buy washer and dryer and separately and avoid these gimmicks that don't work
Hi Mike, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand you’re not getting the drying performance you expected from your LG WashCombo All‑in‑One 5.0 cu ft Mega Capacity unit with Inverter HeatPump Technology, model WM6998HBA. This system is designed to fully wash and dry in one cycle, and when clothes remain damp, one helpful first step is to check that the drum’s lint filter is completely clean, as airflow is essential for proper heat pump drying. Poorly designed
The lint management is appalling. And there's a water drain an inch and a half above the floor. I've never owned a laundry system that requires so much maintenance.
Hi Rich, thank you for sharing your experience with your LG WM6998HBA WashCombo™. We appreciate you letting us know your thoughts on the lint management and maintenance requirements. A few helpful steps that can improve day‑to‑day use include: ⦁ Running the Dryer Maintenance Cycle regularly to keep airflow clear ⦁ Checking the drum filter after each drying cycle ⦁ Ensuring the auto‑clean system completes its cycle without interruption ⦁ Keeping the area around the drain clear so water can flow properly You can also review additional troubleshooting guidance here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-washer-dryer-combo-troubleshooting-poor-drying-performance--20153781923566 If you’d like us to review your case in more detail or explore available service options, feel free to email us at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com so our team can assist you directly. #LifesGood ❤️ LG Digital Care Team ^Rich
High maintenance. Lengthy washing cycle times.
The same complaints as below. Lengthy drying times and even after that the clothes are still damp. It collects lint around the tub top which is time consuming and difficult to completely remove.

ALL LIES!!!!!
The only time it only takes 2 hours is on quick wash!!!! It takes 5 and a 1/2 hours to wash and dry one load of towels. A normal washer only takes 1 hour to wash no mater what and a normal dryer only takes an hour and a half no matter what. This peace of trash takes all day for one load. And gets cloged on every load!!!!!! I shouldn't have to drain it everyday and clean it just to use it!!!!! It says its for large families but I can't keep up with the laundry if it takes all day for one load!!!!! If a normal washer and dryer only takes 2 and a half hours then this should only that that no matter what setting it is on!!!!!

Leaks, bounces and doesn't dry well
I've had my new washer combo for a total of 3 days and it's already started leaking out the bottom and making noise and bouncing while drying a load of clothes😢 Every time I turn it on it says the detergent is too low. I really thought this was gonna be the answer to all my laundry problems as I have 5 people in my household and always doing laundry but it's taking so long just to finish 1 load and I end up having to run it through a second drying cycle to get it all dry. I'm more than likely returning this week and going back to the old school type of washer and dryer.

Would give 0 stars if possible
Worst machine we’ve ever purchased. So many issues from day one wish I never bought it. Takes a minimum 6 hours for 1 load so you can basically do 1 load of laundry a day (not even all of your clothes, literally ONE LOAD). Clothes come out hard (even with softener), wrinkly, and still dirty. Cannot try to save time by washing loads together because it rips your delicates if not washed on delicate, and destroys jeans if not washed on denim load. Clogs on average every 2 months so you have to sit there with a bucket to drain it or call a technician to do it if you can’t do it yourself. I’ve started handwashing my clothes to avoid using this machine. Run away.
Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience with the LG WM6998HBA washing machine. We are genuinely sorry to hear about the multiple issues you’ve encountered and understand your frustration with the performance of the machine. We know how important it is to have reliable appliances, and we sincerely apologize that this product has not met your expectations. Regarding the extended wash times, some cycles on high-efficiency washers, especially on energy-saving or deep-clean settings, can take longer. However, six hours for a single load is certainly not normal, and we want to help troubleshoot this issue. We recommend checking the machine’s settings and load size, as overloading or incorrect settings could cause longer cycles. Our team can walk you through potential solutions, or we may need to schedule a technician visit to ensure the washer is operating as intended. We’re also concerned about the clothing damage and clogs you mentioned. Washing delicate items in the wrong settings or mixing heavy items (like jeans) with lighter ones can sometimes cause damage, but the washer should not be excessively causing harm under normal usage. The clogging issue is also not typical, and we'd like to investigate this further to ensure there’s no underlying problem with the drainage system. We recommend reaching out to our customer support team with your purchase details and serial number, so we can arrange for a service call or assist with troubleshooting. We want to ensure that you get the best possible performance from your LG washer, and we’re here to help resolve these issues. Please contact us at 1-888-542-2623 or email us at [email address], and we’ll be happy to assist you further. We truly appreciate your feedback, and we are committed to resolving this for you. Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. Sincerely, The LG Electronics Team
takes forever and i don't like the steam dry
Realistically, a load of jeans, towels or bedding takes 5-6 hours to wash and dry. Definitely NOT efficient. The items usually feel slightly damp and are often wrinkled too. I do not care for the steam dry. I'm grateful we kept our regular, old, separate washer and dryer because I often end up using that set along with this combo machine to keep up with laundry for my family of 7. Lint builds up along the rubber door seal which gets everywhere when unloading, and is such a hassle to clean I cannot locate a cycle for only Rinse & Spin. Space saving, yes, and that's my only positive review.
Hi. Thank you for sharing your experience with you LG Washer Dryer combo. Your feedback about cycle duration, drying performance, lint buildup, and the missing rinse & spin option is valuable and helps us understand how the combo unit is functioning in your household. Perfect love it
I am very pleased with the with the washer and dryer combo. I use the dry more option and it completely every time, even a large comforter. IM in the process of building a mother in law flat it will be perfect for it. I won't need the 220 volt outlet and no dryer vent.
Hey there! We appreciate your feedback on this washer-dryer combo review! We know your mother-in-law will love the convenience and ease of use of this model. She can even download the LG ThinQ App to run laundry cycles and get notifications of when the cycle is completed while on the go!
