We purchased 2 of these pergolas to put on our SW-facing courtyard to make it more usable in the summers. We had to adapt them a bit to fit the area, but my husband assembled them himself. Although there were a couple of surprises and problems along the way, the company stands behind the product 100%. If parts are missing or damaged, they ship them out immediately and make everything right. The pergolas are sturdy and beautiful. We're very glad to have chosen this product!

I saw this in store and immediately went online to order it with my free shipping. I store advertised $999 and showed an electrical box AND a sun shade. Needless to say, I should have opened and check the boxes. I had a team come and assemble today and we were looking everywhere for a sunshade. Needless to say I went back to online pictures and descriptions- there was no sunshade mentioned. Word to the wise Sam's, please advertise your product correctly without add ons, or have a separate price for the add on. Overall, it's beautiful and such a great deal.

took my wife and I a day and half in the july louisiana heat. All the holes lined up well. all the boards and hardware were there. nice 3d instructional app

Looks great. Was not too hard to put together with 2 people but a 3rd would have made it a lot easier. Also not all holes lined up perfectly on the top slats and a few were missing holes. Overall we love it!

I am very happy with my purchase. I bought this pergola for my parents anniversary gift. It took us approximately five hours to assemble everything.in my opinion, the instructions that were provided to assemble The Pergola was very easy to understand. I highly recommend this product.

I ordered this pergola and was super excited that it was going to be delivered the same day. I get a delivery notice and my son texts me to say they delivered a TV and not a Pergola. Sam's says they will resend the pergola. Great! Only my order was canceled 2 days later saying it was now out of stock. Customer Service confirms they are in stock at the local store where the first one was supposed to be delivered from. Ridiculous. Canceled our membership. Might seem petty, but Sam's your customer service for a paid service really sucks.

This is a great value for any homeowner wishing to build one. Minimal experience needed. Would recommend a inexpensive impact driver to save assembly time all parts of laid out with numbers and instructions are very detailed. I had to shorten mine 1 foot which was not a big deal for me. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to build one yourself. The cedar is much lighter to handle than pressure treated wood and it smells great.

Buyer beware—DO NOT pay for assembly through Go Configure! After paying $500 for assembly, we are now having to hire a second contractor to finish the job. While the pergola itself seems very nice, we are incredibly frustrated with the Go Configure assembly. First of all, we called ahead to confirm that assembly included anchoring the pergola to our concrete patio—the person we spoke with confirmed that it did. On our first scheduled assembly date, the crew did not show up. We waited another 9 days. On the rescheduled date, the crew assembled the pergola but did not anchor it. When we asked them to, they lied and said the anchoring hardware was not included. When we showed them the hardware and the instruction manual (anchoring is a step in the instructions), they then claimed that anchoring was not part of assembly. We called Go Configure, and again, the person we spoke with said anchoring WAS included. They called the crew, then when they called us back, the story had changed. Now they said anchoring was not included. The reason we paid $500 extra for assembly was because we had been told anchoring was included. Had we known it was not, we would have saved $500 and hired our own contractor to assemble and anchor it. Now we are stuck with an unfinished pergola, and we’re going to have to pay someone else to anchor it. This is completely unacceptable that we have been left with an unfinished pergola. We want a refund for the $500 assembly fee.

purchased one for our clients and had quite a few damaged pieces, cracked post, which customer service replaced right away, then we bought one for our rental house in april, had a few broken / cracked pieces in the box which again they replaced right away and now a month later now the two main beams are cracked from left to right even though we sealed it with penetrating sealer, quite a few other cracks. I know we have no humidity here in Nevada but the quality of the wood definitely is on the cheap side.

Okay so this is a great product for a great price but there are a few things I want to say. This is not a novice DIY project. There are several steps that require multiple people, the hardest being the end when you put the assembled structure into the footings. You should have a good drill with multiple bits. Also two ladders and a long level. The most challenging step was bolting the footings into concrete. The bolts provided are junk. We had to go to Home Depot to purchase good quality concrete bolts. All of that being said, the finished product is strong and beautiful. A custom cedar pergola of this size would have cost six or seven times more, so it’s definitely worth it. Just make sure you have some help, the right materials, and purchase some good concrete bolts.
