I purchased this washing machine a few years ago, and unfortunately, it has not met my expectations. The machine frequently experiences unbalanced loads, resulting in extended cycle times and repeated interruptions. Additionally, water continuously runs during the spin cycle, even after the machine indicates an unbalanced load. This issue necessitates manual intervention to prevent the machine from transitioning from a spin-only cycle to a regular cycle, leading to excessive water and electricity consumption. Consequently, I have resorted to using a laundromat until I can obtain a replacement machine. Based on this experience, I respectfully suggest that Samsung focus primarily on electronics, as appliances do not appear to be their area of expertise.

The design of Samsung is not made to last. There are rods in them that break and are not covered by the warranty. Samsung doesn’t tell you this and instead will gives you the run around and then sends a repair tech out that will charge you $170 just for showing up and telling you they can’t do anything about it unless you want to dish out an additional $800 for labor/parts. The washing machine is in fact useless. Samsung is really out here stealing our money. I called Samsung to see if there was anything they can do (issue a credit of the $170) and of course they said no. I even suggested if they could put the $170 towards a new machine for me but they said no to that as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying my new Samsung washer, especially playing with the many cycle options it has and using the App. Some highlights of the features of the washer in this set are as follows - 1) Ability to download cycles is unique. the set up was easy to follow 2) The washer is very large capacity. This is helpful for large families or bulky items. 3) There are multiple setting and temperature features. This is very handy if you need to vary cycles to to content of the fabric. You can change the temp, speed of cycle, rinse cycles. 4) I really like the ability to add more rinse cycles - this is helpful if someone has sensitive skin. 5) I like the ability to delay the wash periods as well. Having a smart washer is a handy and unique feature. 6) It is relatively quiet to operate 7) I like that it is energy efficient and seems to use the minimum amount of water required. 8) There is a detailed manual that prints online that gives detailed instructions on how to operate the washer. This is easy to read and handy - it would have been great if this was included so I did not have to print or download and save, but it is helpful and not printing saves trees. Some of the characteristics I think could use improvement - 1) While I like the capacity of the washer - it is very tall and I cannot reach the bottom of it without a stool. This is a significant disadvantage. I am 5'4" or reference, but I don't think a 5'6" person could reach the bottom either. The design needs to be flattened a bit - it is just too tall. 2) The quick cycle only works with small loads. - it references 4lbs in the manual, but what does that mean? it takes a lot of clothes to make 4 lbs - is that wet clothes. I tried to quick wash a down blanket and the top would not get wet so obviously it did not get clean. There needs to be a quick cycle for heavy items. 3) I am still experimenting with super speed, but the cycle times are very long. 4) The soap dispenser stays wet - I have not had a problem with odor yet, but I am concerned about that. Overall, I think this washer has met my expectations so far. There are a few items above that I think can use improvement. However, overall the clothes seem to come out clean. The set looks very nice and modern. The washer is very large capacity which is excellent. I have not had any issues with stains not coming out the first wash. Overall, I think Samsung has made a good washer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a smaller Samsung washer with this one, and have been quite impressed! It is much quieter than my old one, and has a huge drum capacity! I find myself looking for more laundry in order to fill up loads. I was able to wash king sized comforter in it, which was a must for me with two king size beds. I have a Samsung phone, so already had the Smart-Things, but connecting the washer to it was quick and easy. The app has a ton of "laundry recipes" which are helpful if you don't know which of the many washing cycles to use. It's also nice to be able to see where you are at in the washing cycle without going out to the laundry room. The only potential negatives I have found with this washer are: 1. The tub is tall, so you may have trouble reaching clothes at the bottom if you are shorter. I am 5'10" and don't have any issues, but have noticed how far down they are. 2. I was washing 2 towels and a set of king sized sheets - which is a fairly small load for this washer - and it kept throwing the unbalanced code during the spin cycle. I tried to even out the clothes and still got the code. After doing this several times, I was finally able to finish my load of laundry. But...has me worrying that this is going to be an issue with small loads. I have never had the issue with a full load.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So happy I made the decision to get this washer. It has a huge 5.5 barrel after it was setup I instantly washed my king blanket. It didn’t even take up half the washer! I love that it has the handwashing nozzle and it’s easy to use with a push of a button. Definitely a life saver in moments of need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive my Samsung Washer and Dryer! Samsung is my preferred brand! We recently moved and the washer and dryer that came with our new home was not Samsung... So, of course, I had to replace them! My washer is slightly bigger than my previous Samsung Washer we had before moving. This washer is also much bigger than the washer that came with our home. I appreciate the big tub! This allows me to do bigger loads of laundry and even wash our bedding! The only downside is that as a short person, the tub is really deep! The clothes at the very bottom are hard to reach, even on my tip toes! As a mom and dog mom, I find myself doing laundry at least once a day. I am always washing towels and blankets and clothes in between! Connecting the washer and dryer to the SmartThings App was incredibly quick and easy! My favorite features of the Samsung washer are the super speed wash, soft-close lid, the variety of washing cycles, and the Energy Star rating. As for the Samsung dryer, I am excited about the Steam Sanitize+ option. This option is said to kills 99.9% of germs and bacteria, 95% of pollen, and all dust mites. There are also a variety of drying options!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First things first, this Samsung 7100 series Washer has a huge wash tub. The large capacity has definitely help cut down on the number of loads of laundry we have to do with our large family. The soft close lid is nice and doesn't jump scare my wife when I close the lid and walk off. There is a waterspout built in right below the lid that is really convenient, especially since our laundry room doesn't have a sink. The button layout is very fantastic and easy to read. The buttons are very easy to push, and the cycles are very easy to understand and to navigate. Two of my favorite cycles are the bedding/waterproof cycle, and the activewear cycle. The first load we ran through this washer was our huge King comforter. The wash machine passed with flying colors. It was able to submerge and soak the entire comforter and get it looking and smelling nice and clean. The smart things app was very easy to setup and use. There is a QR code right on the lid and walks you through easy steps to get it up and running. The app has some very useful information like "laundry Recipe" which helps you decide how to wash certain types of clothes if you are unsure. You can also download new types of cycles that aren’t initially on the washer such as Perm press and Wool cycles. You can send cycles to the washer as well and setup timers on when to start and stop them. My favorite part of the app is it alerts me on my phone when either the washer or dryer is done with it's cycle. This is useful when we are outside or hanging out and forget we have laundry going. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with this washing machine and have yet to find any critiques that I can think of. We have run it through all the setting and cycles, and it has performed flawlessly so far. I'm looking forward to hopefully many more years with this machine.

Brought this set in June 2021 for a 2 person household. Have already had to replace the rods in the washing machine twice and going for the third set as the washing machine goes out of balance all the time. Normal small loads. The rods are flimsy.

One of the worst purchases I’ve ever made! The washer doesn’t fully wash clothes. Full or half loads. Doesn’t matter. Parts of clothing are literally dry when the cycle is done. Also, I’m 5’3….I break my back bending over and trying to reach the clothes at the bottom. And the dryer!!! Is a nightmare! It stops when it senses your laundry is dry. When it’s not all the way dry. And you can’t override its settings.

It has plenty of room inside, but it ALWAYS is unbalanced when we wash ANY bedding no matter what we have tried. We have had the detergent and softener dispenser replaced and several other issues with it. We are on a first name basis with the local tech, that’s how many times he has been out to our house. Software upgrades and a few other issues. This is the worst washer I have ever had.
