[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately it has been many years since I have had a brand new washing machine so this was a bit of a splurge for me. I was a little apprehensive at first but am I glad I took the plunge and made this purchase. It confused me at first that the water didn't immediately start running into the drum but after doing a little research I realized it was calculating how much water to put in for the load that I was washing. I really like that it uses more water as I try my best to be energy conscious and conservative. I love being able to look into the glass lid and see what stage the machine is in. I find it fascinating that the agitator and the drum move in opposite directions. The drum is really large for those big items that I previously had to take to an external laundry. Washing bedspreads and comforters will now be much easier. There are so many different settings but by far my favorite is the presoak option. My roommate is an auto mechanic and his clothes are really stained and dirty when he comes in from work. Washing them now has become a breeze! We no longer have to continue to reset the machine so that they get a good soak. I haven't quite mastered the Smart Things app. That will be a work in process but I look forward to doing more research and learning how to master this machine. I am really pleased with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice design and large cabpacity, but it leaves detergent residue on dark colored fabric. We've tried several brands of detergent and we follow Samsung's guidelines regarding how much to use. It's frustrating, and we never had that issue with either of our Samsung front loading machines.

I bought the Samsung top loading 5.5 cu washer and the matching smart electric dryer. What a joke of a product. It is the worst appliance I have ever purchased. The washer puts holes in all my clothes, It is constantly unbalanced when I wash larger items, and uses a TON of water. The dryer has to be run 2 times before everything is dry. I wish I had never bought this.

For the washing machine soft close top, not so loud, plenty of option to choose from for your cleaning need.... I am please. The dryer workers great also. This is a great combination of washer and dryer

Piece of junk. It's sooo infurating and frustrating. Always unbalanced when it shouldn't be. It can take several hours to do a load because you have to try to balance it. I feel like I am hand washing the clothes. Do not buy. Piece of crap! Now it says it's washing for 58 minutes instead of the usual 52 minutes. Aghh!! I'm getting rid of it to keep my sanity. Do not buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this washer. I replaced an old washer I had with this one and it is a huge difference. First off, this washer has quite a lot of space. So it's perfect for large families or even those big quilts you have at home. It washes the clothes seamlessly. I love the fact that you can use the Smart Things App on your phone with this washer. It basically let's you know when your washer is done and more. There is even recommendation on what settings to use for your laundry. I highly recommend this washer to anyone looking to upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its a beautiful appliance that is just big enough to wash my king size blankets and my 10ft throw blanket. Im getting used to all the new features compared to my old washing machine. I had a older version of this appliance which I gave to a friend. 10 years later and it's still chugging along!

This is the most uneven and poorly made washing machine I have ever owned. Almost every cycle larger than halfway full it comes unbalanced and gives the "DC" error code. We are constantly very meticulously rebalancing and reorganizing our laundry, but the machine has part of its process where it spins back and forth and literally unbalances the contents itself! It cannot clean sheets, towels, or anything large because of this. Just constant unbalance and error code and beeping. Worst part is each time it comes unbalanced and the DC error code comes up, it drains and refills the water when you restart it! Such a massive waste of water constantly draining and refilling. I try to run "Spin Only" cycle and it fills with water too!! Even though there's a "Rinse and Spin" option it still fills with water on "Spin Only"! Our water bill has skyrocketed using this piece of crap. If you value your sanity and wallet do not buy this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been pleased with this washer so far, it is very easy to use and seems to wash the clothes well, and I like that it uses plenty of water even on the smart settings. The app makes it easier to be away from the home and know exactly when your clothes are done. If you’re short, I would consider that with the washer because I have to use a step stool to get to the bottom of it but it does wash a ton of clothes at one time!
