They were great until...

I love the enchiladas but was extremely disappointed now that they are coming in a plastic container. They used to come in a foil container that could go directly into the oven. That was very convenient. Now having to transfer it creates a mess and takes away a lot of the convenience during clean up. It is super frustrating that it seems like the only reason they would do this is to save themselves money. Very disappointed. This is actually the first time I have every reviewed a product. That is how disappointed I am. The only positive it that they taste great.

We are sorry you are disappointed with the packaging DanB. The container the enchiladas come in is oven-safe. You simply remove the clear plastic lid, cover the enchiladas with foil, and place the container on a baking sheet in your oven. Please know that all Member's Mark items come with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and can be returned anytime.

new packaging sucks

I would have recommended any of the pre-made meals but since they have changed the packaging to all plastic and not aluminum anymore, it makes it more difficult to cook these. You lose half the sauce on the bottom because it gets stuck in the grooves. I won’t be buying anymore pre-made unless the packaging returns

Gristle? GROSS!

I bought this for an easy work night dinner. Every bite in my enchilada had a gristle bit. My daughter had three pieces in hers. I tried half from the other end of the pan, still more. I understand that it's made from the leftover rotisserie chicken, but more care should be taken when preparing it at this club. I threw the rest of the pan away and will not be purchasing again.

New Plastic Packaging

Enchiladas used to be amazing. Thanks to the new plastic package the enchiladas were a mess by the time I transferred them to an oven safe dish, while much of the sauce and cheese was trapped inside the folds of the bottom of the plastic dish. Dummest idea EVER to put them in a cheap plastic bottom. I won’t be buying them again until they return to the oven safe container.

Surprisingly Delicious!

I'm originally from South Texas but currently live outside the state in an area with not many (good) Mexican restaurants around. I picked these up on a day I was craving enchiladas but didn't want to make the family's recipe (using cream of chicken, still delicious but I was wanting enchiladas with a red sauce!). I was really surprised at how good these were! The cheese melted wonderfully in the oven and I sprinkled on some garlic salt as the chicken and sauce needed some flavor. I made rice and beans for the side and it was perfect - 10/10 would recommend!

Awful!

The first time we bought these they were great, with fresh shredded rotisserie chicken. Every time after the quality has decline. The most recent, and last purchase, the chicken was grainy, rubbery and the tortillas were slimy. They weren't expired but they sure fooled us. Very disappointing.

Would be better on corn tortillas.

Not bad but would be much better if made with CORN tortillas. I would ADD 1-Star for CORN Tortillas. Sticker with instructions was on the BOTTOM of the package so had to take a picture of it to read it. Black plastic tray is okay for baking in oven on a baking sheet but CANNOT place under BROILER at the end to brown the cheese on top. I would ADD another Star for Aluminum Tray.

Very disappointed!!

I have bought these several times in the last few years. I have always been able to take the plastic lid off the container stick it on a cookie sheet and cook. I now have to bring them home freeze them, wait for them to freeze before I can take it out of the container and put into a baking dish. Taking away the tinfoil pan makes me want to never buy these again. The taste is amazing as always but the inconvenience is not worth buying them anymore.

plastic pan?

They came in a black, plastic tray. It said oven safe? I called the store to check, and the man that answered said those are definitely NOT oven safe. Why does the instruction label say they are? He said only the aluminum pans are mean to go in the oven. Transferred to glass to bake. Tasted just ok. Better than nothing.
