Metal frame change out

This cartridge is real easy to change. However, and it is a big HOWEVER, there is a metal frame that comes off of the OLD cartridge and gets attached to the NEW cartridge. So, don't throw away the entire piece. (It took me about 20 minutes to figure out why the NEW cartridge was not printing/fitting.

All the reviews here say the same thing

Brother, you make an excellent product, so you should just be honest and stand by it. I don't understand why you feel the need to mislead your customers with a toner yield estimate that is nowhere near what anybody gets in real life. Feel free to paste your boilerplate response below.

The Brother TN-730 toner cartridge yields approximately 1,200 pages based on the ISO/IEC 19752 testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content. Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage will use much more toner and, naturally, will shorten the life of the toner cartridge. Disappointed

I bought the laser printer because I'd had bad experience with ink jets. The printer itself was relatively inexpensive. It has worked well, produces nice printouts, had a nice scanning feature, works well as a wireless machine, and is reliable. My disappointment came with the low number of overall printouts before the toner ran out. These cartridges do NOT seem to last as long as the manufacturer claims (I have seen numerous reviews that confirm this). The lower cost of the printer is made up for in the cost of the printer cartridges. I can't fault the company for recouping the loss in the reduced price of the printer, but would prefer they were more forthcoming about the actual page yield per cartridge.

The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Happily Printing

The reason I chose a laser printer this time is that I don't print very often. It works very well and it works when I need it. I had only used inkjet printers before and it was so frustrating to not be able to print because the ink dried out or something was clogged. I tried different brands but they all did that. I'm happy now.

Worked briefly. Then stopped early in toner life

This toner worked for a while. Then we got a printer jam. I removed the cartridge while fixing the jam. When I put it back in, the printer stopped working saying that the cartridge isn't a legitimate Brother toner cartridge. I bought it new and it is in fact from Brother. It's just really frustrating.

Wrong Cartridge selected by printer software

Brother software running on my computer incorrectly led to 730 toner, when I actually needed 850. I had opened the package before realizing it wouldn't fit. Brother gave me a lot of pushback about returning it for credit, but finally relented. Reason for replacing Brother cartridge prematurely was that it was leaking messy black powder onto printing. Third-party cartridge was much less expensive, less than half the cost, and is working great.

Horrible...printed 300 pages then ran out of toner

Purchased the MFC-L2750DW printer. After the starter cartridge emptied, I purchased the TN-730. I average about 100 pages a month. After 3 months and 350 pages, it ran out! 1/4th of the 1200 page yield. Do not recommend and next time I have to buy a printer, it won't be Brother.

You will not get close to 1200

Starter cartridge lasted 785 pages at 4.75% (printing shipping labels 12mos) after hitting continue mode for 3 months. This TN730 has printed 844 pages at 4.43% and has been on continue mode for a couple months. Won’t get many more pages that will be scannable. You can see your output by hitting menu start menu, (see 0) hit up button, go to maintenance 77. It’ll print your report.

Toner empty after 380 pages

The prints were clean, and without streaks or other ink artifacts. However, the number of pages we were able to print from a new cartridge was surprisingly low. Here's our notification log: 1 Replace Toner Page : 380 2 Toner Low Page : 360 We will try the TN-760 next.

Nice cartridge but….

The toner cartridge was easy to load & it worked great, right away. I wish the cost were less expensive. I went to toner instead of ink because I thought it would be. I’d like a recycling label to come in the new toner box. My old toner cartridge is waiting to be recycled because I’m having trouble accessing the paperwork.
