I don’t like these trash cans. The sensor on the tall kitchen can is placed just in front of the lid. When you hover over the sensor, the lid opens, hitting the trash item you’re holding in your hand. I tried to use the small can in the bathroom. I sat it under the vanity to keep it out of the way. This placement doesn’t work because the sensor to open the lid is activated by the shadow from the vanity. This causes the lid to remain open. I moved the smaller van to a different location and it works fine. However, the tall kitchen trash can is just poorly designed. Perhaps I’ll eventually get used to it. Additionally the can seems smaller than my old trash can.

I really wanted to love these, but the sensor is horrible. If you’re scraping your plate, or trying to throw something out and you take longer than a few seconds, the lid closes on you. This is a very poor design in my opinion compared to other similar smart cans. I’ve never had one that doesn’t detect that you’re still there before it tries to close.

I've been looking for this kind of trash can for a long time. Every time I found one I liked, the price was way too high. This set of TWO sensor trash cans was a great deal. Now that we have them, my family doesn't know how we lived without them for so long. They're definitely on our list of all-time favorite purchases. I thought I wouldn't even want the smaller one, but it turned out to be very useful as well. The sensors are just the right sensitivity so they don't open simply from someone walking past them. They're also super easy to clean and don't require any kind of special cleaner. These trash cans came packed more securely than anything I've ever bought before, including computers. I've been very impressed with this purchase so far. Hopefully, they're around for many years to come.

I was tired of replacing our kitchen trash can and decided to look for a sturdier receptacle. I am very pleased with this one. It is attractive and with the automatic opening lid it is perfect for the kitchen. The smaller trash can that was included is a nice size for our extra bathroom.

I’ve only had these for a couple weeks. So far I can say thT I do like them. They were just what I was looking for. Tall one is being used for garbage and smaller one I’m using for recycle of small paper products. That one is a bit small but they march so I’m going to empty often. They both fit nicely in pantry area and look good too.

The large container is light activated meaning a change of light will cause the lid to open. That is activated by anyone walking close to it and that sensor can not be controlled by placing a light blockage on it. Also the container cannot be placed under a counter. However, knowing the limitations, the container works well. We like it better than an open container.

I don't know why I waited so long to get one of these. I had my eye on them but just didn't want to spend the money. I was finally so frustrated with trash cans that don't hold your bags the way they should! Shopping for something to hold the bag until it was full I found this and will never own anything different. The ease of it opening when my hands are full is more convenient than I realized. No nasty trash residue on a push top and the bag stays put and fills to the top. Amazing!

I have bought several of these. Not because they break, but because I love them and give them as gifts. I needed to replace mine because the lid fell and bent, so it didn’t close all the way. The new one did not work at all. I will be returning. The small can worked,,but not the tall one.

If this review was just for the big one, I would give it 5 stars. The tall garbage can works great and looks great. I love it. The small one looks great. It doesn’t do to well with the sensor. It stays open or won’t at all. Still works as a standard garbage cans.

Trash can arrived on time. First we were happy with it but afterward not so much. We realized you need to change the battery on those cans almost weekly and that is not good at all. So if you want the motion open and close function to work expect to pay $20 extra a month. Can size is fine.
