[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator is a a solid choice if you’re someone who loves to go camping or even a good choice for a job site if you need back up power. It’s actually pretty quiet for a generator and I think it’s great that it can also be hooked up to propane.

I recently purchased this generator first to supply power for tools to build a bunkhouse. Second I would like to use it to power the bunkhouse when I stay in it. So I started on the bunkhouse last weekend and put it to the test. I’d say it passed. I ran a small compressor for a nail gun and a miter saw mainly. At first I ran a compressor that was at the maximum amperage the generator allows. It overloaded the generator and it shut down. I wasn’t upset. I had a smaller compressor available and used that. So I was actually happy that overload protection did it’s job. After I let it cool down from the overload I fired it back up. Ran fine the rest of the weekend.

A total waste of money. Started generator every 3 months for first year. Let it run. All good. Needed to use it and would not work at all. Could not generate any power. Took it for service (of course out of warranty)come to find out the electronic board that processes that power was shot. received an estimate of $400 to repair my $700 generator that was like new. Generac rep said they had issues, but unfortunately my unit was out of warranty, To Bad. Wont be ever be buying a Generac Inverter Generator. When I get the money, I will be looking at Honda. Total waste of $700+, plus not having a unit when my power went out.

Out of the box the IQ3500 i bought was leaking gas. Tried tightening the drain valve. Still leaking. Called Customer service and they were worthless. Told me I had to drive to a dealer one and a 1/2 hours away. Then told me they could not say this was under warranty even though was just out of the Box 2 weeks earlier. Decided to take it 15 minutes away to a small engine repair specialist. He found that the major gas line out of the tank was ripped. Cost me 60 bucks to get repaired. The customer service from these guys at Generac is absolutely worthless. I do not recommend Generac products on customer service alone.

This generator will be used for off grid camping. We already have a whole house Generac generator so it was no surprise to find the quality and feature we were looking for and much less expensive than the 'big name' generator. The IQ3500 came well packed and complete down to the oil and funnel. Everything except fuel for start up. After camping next to people running their generators, we wanted a quite unit and this is it. Surprisingly quite. We are very pleased with this purchase and are ready to go camping as soon as the weather breaks.

I bought this generator, as a back up for our travel trailer, for times when power wasn't available. Recent trip to the Keys in FL required 2 nights on generator, ran the entire trailer flawlessly, left it locked down in the back of my pick-up, while connected to the trailer, so quit, and ran all night on a tank, powered the refrigerator, heat lights TV ran the slide out, without issue. Easy to start, easy to operate, 1 adapter to the trailer 30Amp, and all was good.

After spending a lot of time researching different generators this is the one we bought. It has a lot of the features that the more expensive ones have and it is very well priced for those options. The best part is hearing or I should say is not hearing it in action. It is very quiet and does the job.

Nothing beats portable power! I have a 12 amp corded leaf blower/ vacuum, and several areas that need my equipment, unfortunately they are just too far for extension cords so I needed portable power, and this is exactly what I needed. It’s not too heavy to move around and it’s very easy to use, Excellent product!

I was on the hunt for a generator for my RV. I wanted one that would easily run my AC in my camper and not be maxed out. I found this one. It’s exceeded my expectations. I ran the generator in the bed of my truck while I slept in my camper in the parking lot of a cracker barrel’s parking lot. It was so quiet that I only heard the generators from the Motor homes around me. It kept my AC running all night. I expected to wake up to a generator that was out of fuel. I was surprised to see that I still had 50% fuel remaining when I woke up, and the generator still running. I love that you can’t hear it when you’re 10 feet away from it inside the camper. This is why quietest little generator I’ve ever owned. It’s powerful and efficient. I couldn’t ask for more in a small generator.

Purchased Generac IQ2000 in an emergency situation as we had lost power to our house and expected outage was 4 days. We had no generator. From the box the Generac started right up and ran for four full days, burned 10 gallons of gas. Powered our refrigerator and deep freeze in our house, alternating with our shop to keep another refrigerator and freezer going. Did not loose any product! Worked awesome with no problems. Would recommend to others to purchase. Will also use while camping and other needs as they arise now that we have a generator.
