I love this generator. It runs all my computer, photo equipment, lights, music, printer, &chargers for my mobile photography business. It powers up and down as needed and is more quiet than the 2000ix I used to use. It also used only 2 quarts of fuel for an 8-10 hr day.

I purchased a 2200 Suitcase Generac generator in August 2019. I am pleased with the product, the cost compared to other quality generators was excellent. The weight is perfect and I have already used it more than my bulky 5500 generator that was too heavy to lift. It has the power to run my camper and it powers up a small cabin with lights, fans, and small appliances. I would recommend this product.

Have just bought. Have started it once with no problem whatsoever. Started on first pull. Attached several items including a refrigerator and a LED HD television. It ran great. Ran it for 30+ minutes. Plan on using it for a backup when there is no power. It should work great as my backup based upon my startup experience.

Great product that runs smoothly and quietly after easy start process and does thejob we wanted it to do. It really needs wheels to get it around asit is heavy so we purchased a dolly to use to move it around during the emergency times when it will be necessary to move it quickly to an outdoor spot. Starts easily and runns very quietly which surprised me and made us happy. Doies exactly what we intended it to do.

The manual is very difficult to read and seems to describe things that no longer apply. For example, the instructions make no mention of the "on-off" indicators on the gasoline fill cap. One can only assume, since there is no "off" position on the "choke/run control" that one is to return this control to "choke" and turn the filler cap knob to "off" to purge the carburetor of gasoline. However, doing that seems to be futile, since it keeps running for a long time.

To be entirely honest I was amazed the generator even started after seeing the condition of the box it arrived in. The case of the generator was apparently damaged slightly where the front control panel is attached to the case but I didn't feel it would be a problem with the operation of the unit. I didn't have the opportunity to check the output voltage and frequency at this time but will get to that later. I took photos of the condition of the damaged box it arrived in and attached one to this review.

So I've had my Honda 2000 for 9 years, run it every weekend and change the oil every month usually and no issues until now, carb dirty needs a cleaning. Picked up this Generac 2200 and have been running it every weekend for a month. I feel like it's a tiny bit quieter than the Honda, and it starts on the first pull every time even when it's below 32 degrees. And it really purrs, no missing or fast revving except right after start. Called Genrac people re extended warrantee and after market pieces and the customer service seems really solid. So now it's just a waiting game to see if the Generac has the same legs as the Honda, but so far, pretty nice and 1/2 the price of the Honda. Jack

Just unboxed my new 2200i, filled it with oil and gas, then fired it up. It started on the third pull. Haven't put it to use yet as I purchased it for house boating to run a C-Pap machine for a family member. Runs quietly enough, doesn't weigh too much and is a bargain for the money. Also like the fact it's American made. K.

Nice compact unit, not too heavy so easy to manouver. It is quite quiet you can stand adjacent and carry out a normal conversation. Nice that it has 12v oulet, usb outlets as well as an eco mode. Starts well in the cold so far(-6 C )4 pulls. . Comes with everything you need except gas and an extension cord.

generac 2200i got it started it ran great did the same twice more and ran great the 4th time ran like crap still in shop waiting 10 weeks later never did get to use but do have another one and it runs great still and have used this one just disappointed in the second one ?????
