I am very pleased with the iQ3800 Dual Fuel Generator because of all the features it includes. It provides great value as a standby for living in an apartment in an area which is subject to get periodic ice storms and resulting power outages.

Bought a new portable generator and it does not run once I put any kind of load on the unit. And there is no service repair shop anywhere close to my home.

I bought this a couple months ago. It never worked. The Fleet Farm I purchased it from would not take this product back. The generator is still at a small machine engine shop. I will never buy your products again.

After many years I had a slight problem. I contacted Generac by email and explained my situation and received a response with useful info and the schematics I requested. Problem solved, Thanks

Just unboxed my new 2200i, filled it with oil and gas, then fired it up. It started on the third pull. Haven't put it to use yet as I purchased it for house boating to run a C-Pap machine for a family member. Runs quietly enough, doesn't weigh too much and is a bargain for the money. Also like the fact it's American made. K.

Great product that runs smoothly and quietly after easy start process and does thejob we wanted it to do. It really needs wheels to get it around asit is heavy so we purchased a dolly to use to move it around during the emergency times when it will be necessary to move it quickly to an outdoor spot. Starts easily and runns very quietly which surprised me and made us happy. Doies exactly what we intended it to do.

I bought this on Friday for our tailgate on Saturday. Put oil in it that came with it, filled it with ethanol free gas and never would start. After 3 hours of trying to get it to start we just gave up. Have never been more disappointed in purchasing a product as buying this portable generator. Ruined the entire tailgate

I have been comparing portable generators for some time for our RV. We purchased this GP2200i, second owner, still strapped in unopened box for $300. Got home, unpacked, oiled and started after several pulls. Quiet as a mouse!! Started my 3/4 hp bench grinder no problem. I feel it will be less troublesome than models with all the electric lights (bells & whistles). It has more power than units costing 400 to 500 dollars more.

I bought this well over a month ago for use if we lose electricity. Have set it up and started it but nothing else. I hope it works as an inurance policy and prevents us from loosing service. If that is the case, I am pleased I made the purchase. The electric start was a must and that was an important feature when making the purchase. If and when I use the generator, my overall rating could change.

The manual is very difficult to read and seems to describe things that no longer apply. For example, the instructions make no mention of the "on-off" indicators on the gasoline fill cap. One can only assume, since there is no "off" position on the "choke/run control" that one is to return this control to "choke" and turn the filler cap knob to "off" to purge the carburetor of gasoline. However, doing that seems to be futile, since it keeps running for a long time.
