What I was particularly pleased with is that it is very quiet, especially compared to other models. It doesn't rattle, doesn't scare the neighbors, doesn't disturb my sleep. You can safely turn on at night. The power is enough for the refrigerator, and for lighting, and for charging appliances at the same time. Works both on gasoline and propane - convenient when one of the options runs out. The digital panel is simple and straightforward, you can see everything: how many watts are being used, how much time is left - a complete sense of control. And yes, its weight (122 pounds) can be felt, but on wheels it rolls easily like a suitcase, not dragging with effort. In general Generac iQ3800 is peace of mind in any situation: blackout, going out with family, working remotely - it will not let you down. Beautiful, powerful, smart - I recommend it 100%. Yes, the Generac iQ3800 DF generator does support both gasoline and liquefied propane operation. This is confirmed by the model's official specifications - Dual Fuel: Runs on gasoline or liquid propane, providing flexibility in the choice of energy source.  - Run time: up to 13 hours on gasoline and up to 16 hours on a 20-pound propane tank at 50% load.  - Power: 3,000 watts in run mode and up to 3,800 watts when running on gasoline; 2,700 watts in run mode and up to 3,400 watts when running on propane.

I purchased the 3500 IO back in 2020 in Texas. To date I have 7558.7 hours on the unit, it went through the Big Freeze in Texas, kept my neighbors homes heated during power outages. This unit has had the oil changed every 250 hrs (30W), Lucas upper cylinder gas additive occasionally, a new pull cord at 5800 hrs and a yearly plug change. I recommend this unit for all your uses up to 25 amps, it hasn't let me down. Great unit

I have had several carb issues. I worked where we sold Generac generators, and always spoke highly of them. I owned a GP5500 prior w/ few problems. I always kept ethanol free gas or gas w/ Stabil in my IQ3500 . Which purchased 9/2019. I had one carb replacement a year ago ,after a month wait for parts from Generac. It would start but not run and the ECO setting would shutter and shut the engine off. Now it is repeating problems, after only being run on ethanol gas for less than 1 hour. We used it to run the 13.5K A/C or to run heater fan and charge RV batteries. We were able to do one or the other at a time. It was never able to pull the 25 Amp specs.

Well it took a week or two after getting my new Generac IQ2000 before I could mess with it. I put the oil in and gassed it up, set evertything to "ON". It took several pulls for it to start the first time but it ran great. I love the "Time Remaining" the gas and also love the load graph, really neat features. It is much quieter that I expected. I think it will be perfect for what I bought it for. Thanks Generac!

After months of extensive research, I chose the Generac IQ3500 as a home back power source. All of the pre-work paid off. This unit is very well built, runs extremely well, and is unbelievably quiet. Could not be more pleased with this generator. Well done Generac.

I am a event rental company owner. We rent generators for many different applications. Purchased us to run our restroom trailers which have RV generators. What we really liked about it is that one person could move it. It is very quiet. We would love to see this with an EFI option.

I wanted a quiet unit that would power several items while doing BBQ competitions and events. I am very happy about how quiet this unit is and it has more than enough power to run all my equipment. I was also pleased on how easy the pull start was on this unit. I would gladly recommend a GP3000i to anyone looking for an inverter generator.

Hello.....being new as an OTR trucker, I discovered that even with the truck's already installed 1800 watt power inverter, it does not last long enough when one is parked for at least 34 hours, while completing what's known a 34hr reset (a new 70hr On Duty clock is then given). On a very hot/cold day, with the A/C-Heat being on and at its lowest settings, with a TV, satellite dish, and an external hard drive (to record programs) plugged in, the truck will begin to shut down non essential items after about 12hours, such as the lights inside the truck, and the refrigerator (refrigerator is non essential??!!), and if long enough, when turning the truck on to juice up the truck's batteries, it will cut power completely to the inverter for a brief moment, that's a sure sign the truck's resources are getting very low. So, I decided to look into a portable generator, and after looking at and looking in depth at many other brand's details, this Generac IQ2000 caught my eye. I really liked the gauges it had showing, that is very convenient, I felt the 1600 watts was more than enough for my needs, those items mentioned above does not even register the 20% load indicator, and usually will show close to 13hrs remaining. I can even plug the truck into this generator to help juice up the truck's resources if need be! MInd you, this will probably not charge up the truck's auxiliary power supply, which runs the A/C and Heat, but once those have extinguished it's power source, i can then run a cooler or heater inside the truck, that's a big plus! I think, in my opinion, this company should direct its advertising to us OTR truckers....this is a great product.....Home Run!!!!! Chris.

I did receive this complementary, however, it has no bearing on my review. I am very pleased with this product, it really is great and well constructed. Grateful for camping and practically any use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generac Power Systems iQ3800 Duel Fuel Portable generator is very durable. Has a quite noise level. The push button on/ off doesn’t work. It may be the battery, but pull start works great. Easy to put oil in and maintenance is very easy to do.
