I bought 2 of these generators because I live off grid. I expected to buy 2 more in a year because I use one 24 hours a day to run my home (2 bedroom home) on... I've been running these two alternately for 3 years now!!! They are awesome! I'm 1.6 gals of gas, will run my home for 13 hours!!! And are amazingly quiet!!!

Run Ac ok, but the micro wave was also turn on at the same time overload. Overload led came on and voltage drop out which is to be expected. Went to shut it off and restart to reset to recover, it would not shut off. Had to unplugged the spark plug to shut it off? Started again voltage was correct ran AC fine, but could not shut it off. Looks like the Ignition module went bad? Called one of the company that was recommended for warranty they would not do genrac warranty repairs? Took it to another repair out fix to get it repaired they copy my 3yr extended warranty information which I had purchased as well. Not a good feeling about the warranty issue. Product may have issue with the ignition / control module? Will find out. Other than not being able to reset the unit after overload, whether automatic recovering or restarting unit, it still work fine. They need to look at redesigning the ignition/control module to be more robust. Waiting see see what the results will be? It’s a good product if they fix this issue.

I choose it for my Rv. I took it on an12,000 mile Alaskan trip which included frost heave and dirt roads. The only issue is it quit cranking off the electric start. It does crank easy off the pull start. I had to use the pull start most of the trip. It was new when I left. It’s super quiet! If others are running around I couldn’t hear mine at all even though theirs were a good distance away. Generac meads to sell it with a cover or sell a fitted cover. I had a problem with dust getting in the receptacles as a couple are for electronics charging.

I unboxed it. Read the owners manual. Popped the side panel off to add oil and gazed at the impressive workmanship of this unit. Put provided oil into it. Put gas into it. Turned the switch to start. Pulled the started cord and was rewarded by the sweet sound of a perfectly tuned 4-stroke gas engine on the first pull. I tested output by plugging in the nearest electrical device which was my shop vac. It fired right up. I'm impressed. Now waiting for Dorian to get here. Bring it! I'm ready.

The dual fuel capability (gasoline and propane) offers great flexibility, especially during emergencies when fuel availability can be unpredictable. Maintenance is easy. And it’s quieter than other generators.

Bought the IQ2000 for an RV trip with my dad in our small motor we need power and this littel guy makes a ton of it, easy to use and so quiet, great for over nighting in parking lots ran everything we needed it to even the microwave no cold coffee for us thanks generac cheers :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We originally didn't plan on opening up this generator until our Memorial Day camping trip next weekend but a downed tree on our power lines at home this passed week changed that plan! We were without power for just one day but with the help of our flashlights on our phones, my husband and I were able to put it together. The Generac iq3800 Dual Fuel portable generator comes fully assembled but we had to make sure the battery was connected, add oil, and then add gasoline. We didn't have a propane tank which can also be used. It was surprisingly easy to assemble since this is our first generator we owned, we assumed it may be more difficult. On the contrary, it took us about 20 minutes to get it ready to go. It weighs a little over 100 lbs but the wheels and handle make it very easy to move around. The digital display makes it easy to see how much fuel we had in there and all the controls are very easy to read and use. Start up is very simple my husband was able to do so on his first try. I like that there is a carbon monoxide detector along with auto shut off if the levels reach danger. That makes it very comforting when using a generator. We used high quality extension cords to thread thru the house and plugged in the fridge, two lamps, one TV, and charger for our phones for the night. Our local electric company had the power back on in about 8 hours and it lasted the whole time. I am very impressed! Especially since the noise level is fairly quiet and we had it on overnight (didn't disturb our sleep or neighbors at all!). Definitely a lifesaver in this instance and we can both highly recommend this generator!

This generator is a nicely packaged, self-contained unit. The outside coating is weather resistant, with no protruding part or gauges. Included with the instructions is a quick start guide that had me get this up and running in less than five minutes. I had no trouble lifting this because of the compactness of the unit and sturdy handle. Oil is included, as well as a spout that screws into the oil plug for easy filling. The gauges on the side are LED's and show your fuel level, how much time you have left before it runs out, wattage use and status of the generator. There is also a three mode switch for turbo, standard and economy usage. I fired it up and it functioned flawlessly. In addition to this generator being easy to use, it is also super quiet. This is important to me because I live in an upstairs condominium with units and other buildings that are pretty close together. I don't want to disturb the neighbors, and this unit will definitely make that happen. Lastly, the price is right! If you are looking for portability, quiet and piece of mind at a very reasonable price, I highly recommend this generator.

Be very careful to follow the starting instructions in the operators manual and you will be happy . This generator is so easy to start, and it's so quiet while running. . This little generator is awesome, very quiet Powers more than I expected it to. The major downside is the fit and finish. The front of the enclosure is broken I contacted generac to purchase a new enclosure or parts they referred me to the retailer the retailer referred me to generac. So I've gotten nowhere I've sent emails and pictures. Besides the cracks and the enclosures the generators awesome. Generac contact me hook me up please.
