Great Product GP2500i

I purchased back in February of 2021 after a few days of a hard freeze in Oregon. I added as a 2nd generator for all around use. Finally took out of box (11/2022) LOL! All prepped up. Not too bad! Generator is lightweight, started on third pull, quiet. So far so good. Future plans would be getting a 2nd one, with parallel kit. Generator will be great for home, outdoor activities. Ill test more and put a review back up.

Great Generator, light weight

Took it back to camp added oil and gas and the unit started right up after setting dial to start and pulling the core two times. Then set the dial to run . All my lights, coffee pot, and outside farm light all work at the same time. Also had the DVD and TV running. After outside farm light warm up the power gage move down on the power gage reading. Also very good on gas

Quiet and Reliable

I was seeing many portable generators and I decided to buy this product because of the power capacity reviews. I bought it and put it to the test with the refrigerator, television and fan and generator went for 9 hrs of usage with 1 gallon. Love it's performance. Recommended

Shipping Weight: 74 LBS. Add Fuel: Apx. 90 LBS. - NO WHEELS

I haven't taken my GP3500iO out of the plastic yet, because I am looking everywhere for a wheel kit. No wheel kit. Generac apparently does not offer one. Unbelievable. If you plan to move your Generac GP3500iO around your property, plan to have a couple of hired hands to help you move it. Thanks, Generac. My first experience with you is "Buyer beware".

just what we needed

Our power company has been putting in a lot of new equipment. Had one 4 day long power outage that cost us our ref. contents and a good reason to buy a portable generator. Works great but only needed to keep food cold. Can do wyfy and tv if needed too

Never worked under load

My neighbor brought this new and it never worked since new. She gave it to my and I contacted warranty department and the said to take it to a city repair shop. The shop could not get help from the company. Thankfully I didn’t get a whole house generator. I have paperwork to show lack of help from manufacturer.

Great generator - poor welds on wheel brackets

Opened the box to a brand new one thousand dollar generator. Everything looked great. Not a blemish anywhere. Started assembly and all is well. Wheels installed no problem. Handle, added oil, connected battery, gassed up, started and ran beautiful; again no problem. First time moving on wheels; problem. Both wheel brackets broke free from all but one weld. Impossible to move more than six inches without backside wheel pigeon toeing into the muffler. Hurricane Delta was fast approaching to my area of south Louisiana so I wasn’t about to return a good running generator. I would tough-out the inconvenience and deal with it after the storm. I wasn’t about to return the 200 pound unit and spend the time assembly another. The generator turned into a thousand dollar stand-by insurance policy. I’m otherwise happy for making the purchase. I’m not the first one to experience the weld breaks after reading reviews. Serious consideration for a Generac whole house standby generator purchase is now in jeopardy unless my complete satisfaction with warranty claim is made.

Very quiet

I purchased this to use at an off the grid tiny house and really wanted something quiet. This works perfect for a quiet power source. The only thing I’d like to see addressed is having the oil drain out of the bottom instead of the side. The side drain isn’t very user friendly.

Got it done

I bought the 3000. Lived off it for a few days after hurricane Sally. It powered the full sized refrigerator, an electric cooktop, television, surround sound, phone/laptop chargers throughout the entire power outage. Its easy to carry and surprisingly quiet.

Off grid for 1 year

Due to Covid, I have been living off grid for about a year. I run my generator for 6 hours every 3 days in order to charge my lithium batteries, and it has met all of my expectations. The electric start is great, and I have only used the pull start twice, when it was well below zero. I would definitely buy again. My only concerns are for me, I find the fuel remaining display hard to understand and don't use it. My only other comment is that the spark arrester got supper dirty and clogged up to the point that it made the generator very hard to run. I removed mine and have not had any issues since.
