Ready When We Need It!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive the Generac Dual Fuel Portable Generator as a gift from Influenster for review, and while we haven’t needed to put it to the test yet (thankfully, no power outages!), I can already tell this is a game-changer for our home. From the moment it arrived, I was impressed. The generator feels incredibly well-built — solid, durable, and thoughtfully designed. The dual fuel capability was one of the first features that caught my attention; being able to choose between gasoline and propane adds so much flexibility and peace of mind, especially during emergencies when fuel availability can be unpredictable. Setting it up was straightforward. The instructions were clear, and the controls are easy to understand, even for someone who isn’t super experienced with generators. I also love that it comes with a mobility kit, making it much easier to move into place if and when we need it. While we haven’t had the chance to run it yet, just knowing we have a reliable, high-powered backup ready to go is a huge comfort. I truly appreciate that Influenster gave us the opportunity to be ready for whatever comes our way. Can’t wait to update this review once we officially put the Generac to work — but for now, it’s getting five stars just for the quality, design, and peace of mind it brings.

Very Nice

I purchased a GP3000i I never had a portable generator I had a big roll around one and was hard to start. The GP3000i was easy to setup and started first pull. I can't believe how quiet it is and seems like it is good quality. I would definitely recommend this generator.

Quiet, powerful and reliable - a dual fuel generat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The build is solid, everything looks professional and well thought out. Started up from the first time! What I was particularly pleased with is that it is very quiet, especially compared to other models. It doesn't rattle, doesn't scare the neighbors, doesn't disturb my sleep. You can safely turn on at night. The power is enough for the refrigerator, and for lighting, and for charging appliances at the same time. Works both on gasoline and propane - convenient when one of the options runs out. The digital panel is simple and straightforward, you can see everything: how many watts are being used, how much time is left - a complete sense of control. And yes, its weight (122 pounds) can be felt, but on wheels it rolls easily like a suitcase, not dragging with effort. In general Generac iQ3800 is peace of mind in any situation: blackout, going out with family, working remotely - it will not let you down. Beautiful, powerful, smart - I recommend it 100%. Yes, the Generac iQ3800 DF generator does support both gasoline and liquefied propane operation. This is confirmed by the model's official specifications - Dual Fuel: Runs on gasoline or liquid propane, providing flexibility in the choice of energy source. - Run time: up to 13 hours on gasoline and up to 16 hours on a 20-pound propane tank at 50% load. - Power: 3,000 watts in run mode and up to 3,800 watts when running on gasoline; 2,700 watts in run mode and up to 3,400 watts when running on propane.

I’m a first time owner

Since I had no idea what to expect, I have been extremely impressed with my 2200. I made coffee in the morning for myself and several neighbors and ran the frig when necessary. It is very quiet while running and I love the USB ports. I didn’t have cell service or internet but I could play solitaire on my iPad if I wanted. It’s light enough that I could loan it to a friend after my power returned and his did not. I love this product.

Outstanding generator.

I spent 3 months researching generators for my RV. I chose the Generac IQ3500 after carefully comparing all brands. This is the RIGHT CHOICE!! Outstanding generator. Very well constructed and solid. SUPER, SUPER QUIET. Easily runs my entire RV with AC. Easy to operate. The IQ3500 is defiantly the "top of the line". I highly recommend this generator.

Broke down after 3 hours

Bought this generator for California’s wild fire power outages, after 3 hours of runtime the generator started running rough and not producing power. Contacted Generac to fix it under warranty, Generac referred me to a local repair shop, I’ve been waiting for 6 weeks now to find out what’s wrong with it. I have a $1000 generator that has spent half it’s life in a repair shop without any answers.

Out-of-the-box failure

3300 I set up easily and started on the first pull. I didn’t actually put an electrical load on it for a couple of weeks, and then discovered it wouldn’t run anything. I used an electric meter and discovered it was putting out 90 V. The store I purchased it from has a policy no returns once you put gas in a product. Generac warranty phone support give me the name of the place to take it. It was over 200 miles away, and I live in Metro Central Iowa. After doing further research it looks like this is a common occurrence for a failed product. I put a dispute on my credit card charge, and the store broke policy to take it back. Feel like I really dodged a bullet.

Does exactly what is advertises.

I purchased the gp3000i to use with my rv. It starts and runs the a/c with no issues with the standard battery charger working and the fridge running on electric. It fires right up with gentle pulls and is easy on fuel considering the output. Did I mention that it is quiet, so quiet that at full load you can stand right over it and have a conversation, without yelling. Nice package and light enough to move easily, well done. I'd buy it again, wouldn't hesitate at all.

Some Quality Control Problems

I bought item during a major ice storm in OKLAHOMA CITY in 2020. When I filled it with fuel, I followed the directions and I could not get it to start. I then noticed it was spilling fuel all over my deck. Opening the covers I found that the drain line to the carburetor had been left open at the factory. The local GENERAC dealer refused to even listen since they only worked with hard installed GENERAC units. Furthermore the power out of this unit, isn't clean enough to run the ac motor my furnace. And there's no other way to reach GENERAC other than posting here.

Got gp3000i for my rv less than a month old.

Run Ac ok, but the micro wave was also turn on at the same time overload. Overload led came on and voltage drop out which is to be expected. Went to shut it off and restart to reset to recover, it would not shut off. Had to unplugged the spark plug to shut it off? Started again voltage was correct ran AC fine, but could not shut it off. Looks like the Ignition module went bad? Called one of the company that was recommended for warranty they would not do genrac warranty repairs? Took it to another repair out fix to get it repaired they copy my 3yr extended warranty information which I had purchased as well. Not a good feeling about the warranty issue. Product may have issue with the ignition / control module? Will find out. Other than not being able to reset the unit after overload, whether automatic recovering or restarting unit, it still work fine. They need to look at redesigning the ignition/control module to be more robust. Waiting see see what the results will be? It’s a good product if they fix this issue.
