This product let me down

I purchased your iq3500 in August of 2022 and used it to power my RV twice in less than a year . The Electric start quite working in June is 2023 (less than one year ) , I checked the battery it was good . Would not do anything, I assume the starter went bad . Then I pull started it , started fine first 2 times . The third time that I tried to pull start it the pull start rope broke . The unit is less than a year old and has only been pull started 3 times and the rope broke and starter quite working . Very disappointed with the quality, hopefully they honor their warranty.

Guage required for 50ft extension

I need to connect the 2200i to 50ft extension cable to run fridge/ freezer & tv & some lights from one of the standard plug sockets. What guage extension cord do I need? Can I run second extension cord off the first, or do I need to get another 100ft extension cord for the other plug on the generator so I can also run tv & lights - as circa 50ft away from fridge. Struggling to work this out before I can test generator. Thanking you in advance. Will update rating once I can use generator.

Excellent inverter generator !

I took this out of the box brand new,put the oil and gas in it for the first time,I pulled it one time and it already started. I know inverter generators are quiet, but after watching video's of this one before I bought my,it was even quieter than I thought or expected. Wish this one had some type of fuel gauge or hour meter but still don't think any less of it for that !

I like this iq3500 except.....

Seems like a great product but the motor started surging after the first hour of usage. I suppose there is a plugged orfice of some sort in the carburetor but I don’t really want to take it off and clean it. The fuel filter should have taken care of this issue. ??

Unbelievably simple to use!

We live in SW Florida and decided to buy a generator for future power outages. Have not had to use it until today. Power went out 1.5 hours ago. This is the first time we have used it. Dumped some gas in and it fired on the first pull. That never happens to me! 10 minutes after the power went out I had the fridge, some lights, a fan and some other minor things plugged in with room to spare. So simple and I am far from a handy guy. Highest marks from me

Excellent and rugged generator

I researched many quiet generators, this one came in on top not only for being rugged, but for being American made. I spoke with many RV owners and discussed their generators and different brands that they used, this helped with me deciding on a Generac generator. I've had a much larger Generac portable generator for over 15 years and it's been absolutely solid and reliable, this little IQ generator is also well built and starts with no issues, sips fuel and is very quiet!

Nice and Quite

Purchased 2 of these portable generators for our RV they are very quite and run great. We like the features on the gas gage and how many hours left till empty are awesome no longer waiting till they run out to see to put in more gas. Takes out the guessing game, also like the feature on how much power your consuming as well.

good unit, started first pull out of the box!

It would be usefull to have known the derate info before purchase. The info is on page 5 in the book. 3.5% per 1000ft above sea level is significant at 10,000 ft. If I had known to reduce the expected output by 35% I would have considered a larger unit. I'll still put it to good use and the portability is wonderful.

More Power

Overall great unit. However, room for improvement on power options and design. Pro's - Super Quiet and Fuel Efficient. Cons - Not available in bigger options. Would love to see something in the 4000-5000W range with some sound dampening. Or, design a cover for your open frame options. Lastly, please add some wheels to this thing!

Great little power unit

we bought our GP2200i just b4 LAURA came ashore. Fortunately, (unfortunate for Louisiana) it landed in Louisiana. We didn't have to put it to a true storm test scenario, but we did fire it up and ran a fan, our refrigerator, and a small freezer and our TV. Our cable was on battery backup systems so we could watch TV to get the latest weather. There are 3 more storms brewing in the Atlantic and seemingly headed this way. I read and agree with some of the reviews about adding a Guage for the gas level. Other than that, it looks to be a great unit.
