I purchased this at a sell price that was a hundred dollars off suggested retail which was a super buy. I had considered a Honda, but for the price, this unit is the bomb! Just a quiet as a Honda and MORE running watts, two 20 amp outlets, two usb charging ports and capable of charging a car battery. The Good: The generator is quiet, easy to set up and start, portable, comes with the battery charging cables, initial oil and worked flawlessly during my one hour initial test. I am very happy with the performance of it. The Bad: fit and finish has a lot to desire. The control panel was bulging at one corner and a screw on the panel was striped out.The spark plug is difficult to access, removing the plug wire is a chore. What could be Better: Filing the oil is also strangely difficult, they provide a funnel but the fill port is at a right angle to the unit and at the bottom. Basically when oil stops going in while filling, it is full (messy). Filling the gas tank is also odd. You have no way of knowing how much gas is in the tank. When filling, the spout of the gas can fills the opening which has a screen inside of it and you cannot gauge how full you have it. I see a big problem when filling a hot generator this way! Side panel is removable with two phillips screws, but hand twist screws would be so much better! This allows access to fill/check the oil, drain the carb for storage, and the air filter. I wish it had a digital read out for watts used but at this price point I understand. Why can't manufacturers engrave the maintenance schedule and oil type/amount, plug type, etc on the generator so it would always be handy?? Would I buy this again? Absolutely! The price, brand and running watts makes this an outstanding deal. I can live with the minor flaws.

I bought the IQ 2000. It was 1600 constant watts. I used it for my fishhouse. It ran my furnace fridge freezer, microwave no problem, not all at once, but my buddy had 2000 Honda , he had more trouble with his, mine ran great. I like the hour gauge on it to tell you how long u had before gas all gone. It was quiet running like 57 db just as quiet as 2 people talking. Heck yes I told my buddies about my generator, we fish with a group of 6. We all have generac generators IQ 2000. Couldn't be happier btw. No problem with it running in -30 weather either. That's a big bonus for me !!!!!!

The Generac IQ2000 generator out performs the Honda generator. I love everything about it. After looking on YouTube and the internet I decided to go with the Generac. Price is just right. I am a retired Firefighter and First Responder after 39 years. Used all types of generators in the fire service. Thank you again Generac for a great product. Will use the generator for my personal use during storms, etc.

I choose it for my Rv. I took it on an12,000 mile Alaskan trip which included frost heave and dirt roads. The only issue is it quit cranking off the electric start. It does crank easy off the pull start. I had to use the pull start most of the trip. It was new when I left. It’s super quiet! If others are running around I couldn’t hear mine at all even though theirs were a good distance away. Generac meads to sell it with a cover or sell a fitted cover. I had a problem with dust getting in the receptacles as a couple are for electronics charging.

First off I won this in a raffle, so there is nothing to complain about. However I would like to point out a few things that I feel could be done better by Generac. First off, there are no break in instructions included with the generator. I assume every small engine needs a break in period so I had to look this up myself and perform it. Secondly, why no wheel kit? Yes it’s kinda light but would a wheel kit be hard to make or sell? Sure would be handy, so I’ll have to make one myself. Third, it was quite difficult to find where to register the warranty. You really have to search to find it.

Great product from a great USA based manufacturer...uncrated my new GP2200i and filled with oil and gas and followed starting instructions and it started on the first pull...used it to supply power for the sound system on our parade float and everyone was impressed by how quite it was...This is my 2nd generac generator as I have a XP8000 I purchased a few years ago for home backup just in case the power ever goes down for a extended period of time... Overall great products and highly recommend Generac... O and not to forget to mention they are considerable cheaper than a Honda and lot of other brands out there...Two thumbs up Generac keep up the good work!!

Nice size, unbelievably quiet. I have a Genrac Home Standby generator and have had great luck with it so hoping for the same with the portable. I wish 'RV Ready' meant it had a 30A RV plug instead of 30LR5 Twistlock or at least make it an option to eliminate the need for an adapter. Wish there was a wheel kit, cover, & other accessories available for this unit.

I bought this generator this morning, to replace my generator that was giving me some problems. Its so much quieter than the generator i replaced. It is lighter. It is also very stylish and pleasing to the eyes. The quality is outstanding. It is easy to start. Its also easy to add fluids. I love this generator! Im so excited to have such a quality product. I live off grid 100 percent of the time. I need reliable, dependable, and easy to operate products. Thank you Generac!

The dual fuel capability (gasoline and propane) offers great flexibility, especially during emergencies when fuel availability can be unpredictable. Maintenance is easy. And it’s quieter than other generators.

It's a big generator a heavy generator and a very very noisy generator. We've had trouble from day one we've had to replace the starter once and after that and has run rough the Generac dealership worked on it and said it was something to do with the engine. I have bought suitcases from Generac the IP series and had no trouble with him this one my friends is noisy heavy bulky you cannot read the panels on them it's an LED readout very very hard to read I just wish Jen erect had stayed with the gauges they used on the suitcases generators. Also trying to get to the oil spout is very difficult to change the oil I had to buy a pump just to pump the oil out of it. There's a lot of features that need to be worked on this generator. I bought two of them for our deer camps both have the same problems.
