Above and beyond customer service!
We purchased this bedframe in 2020. Last month one side quit working. Due to the age we didn't expect much except possibly to find someone to come out and repair it on our dime. Though it took some phone calls I reached the manufacturer directly. They actually answered the phone, in person! We went through some options for correcting the problem. Long story short, they sent me replacement electronics, a YouTube video and assurance that they were always available to help. The replacement went well, NO COST to us and we are now resting easy. This kind of customer service has become so rare I still find it hard to believe it's still out there. Thank you so much for your help!
how to fix bed if it won't move
If remote stops working %26 bed won't move, its probably gotten into child lock mode. Per mfr cust service, to get it out of lock mode: hold the Flat button ___ Foot Up button at same time. And it fixes it.
Motor broke within 3 months.
Motor broke within 3 months. Within 3 months of purchase, the cable that connects to one of the motors had come unsoldered and is unable to be fixed. It was a lot of grief and moving the heavy frame around to try to troubleshoot. Sam's Club will take the frame back for return or replacement, but then I have to pay people (again) to move the heavy frame up stairs. I still have the broken frame because I can't decide whether to exchange it, wondering if I'll get another defective one.
where has this been my entire life????
I have extreme back pain as I await a full spinal fusion. In addition I have sleep apnea and shoot the paint off the walls as my family says. This bed was delivered yesterday. I was able to set it up in under 15 minutes with only the help of my 10 year old child . For the first time in 2 years I was able to get a full nights sleep and so did everyone else because I didn’t snore!!! Game changer!
You need this bed frame!!
We purchased this for delivery to our house in FL, on Memorial Day, 2021. We did not live here permanently until August 2022. We could not be happier with our 2 twin-XL mattresses, which together make a king bed. The beds are hooked together somehow. This took us less than 15 minutes to put together - it’s already in one (2 for king) folded pieces. All he did was plug in the attached motors, programmed the remotes, screwed the height adjusters together - we used all three, and he was done. The bed has 2 massage functions with 3 speeds. Each remote can be individually set so we don’t disturb each other. We both love the tv tilt function. The top of the mattress raises up and forward - no need for extra pillows to watch tv. I had a spinal fusion in 12/2022. The massage function felt so good. We have the Dreamcloud 14” hybrid mattresses, and have no problems. There are 2 USB ports on each side, up by the top of the frame. I found them to be slow. There are 2 memory settings for each side. The only thing missing, is a continuously lighted remote. As soon as you press any button, it immediately comes on though, so I guess that’s all it needs to do. Some frames have a blue light under the frame, to light your way to the bathroom. They cannot be turned off. No thanks. I need total darkness. So it’s good the remote is not continuously lit. This also comes with legs that screw together, so you can adjust the height of the base. Oh, and it does fit inside of our Ethan Allen wooden bed frame!! Of course, there is no need for the 10-12 wooden slats. The rest of the bed was assembled around the frame by DH. I cannot say enough good things about this frame!! After my surgery was when I realized there are 3 different massage speeds on the top - mid-chest area, and the legs. I used the leg massage on the ‘roughest’ speed, which felt great, to try and prevent blood clots. It must have worked! This bed is made of solid steel. I expect a long life. The reason we went with this frame, is after going to multiple mattress firms, we realized that unless you were getting a Tempur-Pedic, all the frames were ‘no-name’. This fact plus Sam’s backing, relieved our minds when purchasing something so different than anything we had before. Also, the ‘tv tilt’ feature was expensive in the mattress stores. It’s included here. One salesman gave me a good tip - when putting the fitted sheets on each piece, put the head and foot all the way up. Put on the sheet. Flatten the bed, and the sheet is sucked into place. The steel bar at the bottom, keeps the mattress in place, but definitely makes it difficult to tuck the top sheet and blanket in.
Verified Purchase
The bed is very comfortable but you definitely need at least 2 strong people to put it in place. The only drawback was that the massage feature was so strong it caused little crystals in my inner ear to come loose and caused severe vertigo. It is a good purchase even if the massage feature cannot be used.
Long Term Review
We have had this queen adjustable frame for a little over two years now. This frame cured so many of my back issues. The construction is solid and holds up structurally. The only reason I now rate this at three stars is a series of annoying squeaks from odd places on the frame when you roll over or sometimes just move your leg. Outside of that a great price for a descent product.
Great value!
Overall, I’m satisfied with this purchase. I purchased the Queen and the FedEx driver put it on driveway instead of front door. I can understand why he did that as I nearly pulled a groin trying to get it into the garage by myself. Eventually, two middle aged females were able to bring it in the house but it was awkward/heavy and might’ve involved some bad words. Might help to open it up before moving to remove legs and battery box. Assembly was easy (just screw in legs and connect a wire) but it took some time as the bedroom lacked necessary space to flip that monster of a bed frame into an existing sleigh bed. Once flipped onto its legs, it slides easily. Has the basic up/down positions for top and bottom as well as zero g. For some reason the zero g position adds pressure to my back but adjusting it and creating a favorite preset has remedied that. Some nights I only use the head tilt. That’s a nifty feature that I didn’t know that I’d need. I’d suggest using the remote app as it has an alarm clock that you can set—and the bed will move in an upright position. Cracks me up. The app is flawed though as the alarm sound rarely goes off. The movement usually wakes me up though. Good value for price—especially if purchased during a sale period. Recommend only if you have a helper to help you get it in the house and to flip over post leg assembly.
Better than Expected
This adjustable bed frame is perfect for my needs. As most reviewers have noted, it is very heavy, 170 pounds. My bedroom is on the second floor so I had to hire two men to carry it upstairs. They recommended that I take one side of my current bedframe off so the adjustable frame could slide right in. That was genius! I screwed on the 6 legs, checked that the wiring was all attached and attached the electrical cord to the back up battery box. It was very simple. It works great with my 12 inch foam mattress that also has a topper on it. I can feel the vibration from the massage settings and I can easily adjust the head and foot settings. I have year round allergies and need the head raised. It is so much better than trying to adjust a few pillows! I also liked how easy it was to change the height of the bed frame. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
Bad QA on Legs Screw Threading
I plan on updating this review one day when this problem is fixed to keep it as it's high reputation it should deserve as it has great features for it's price; but only when the QA threading leg issue is fixed. Reason for 1 star is NOT because I got a defect, it happens, it's due to the fact I have read multiple reviews from months and months ago with the same issue. The manufactured date on my frame is just a few months back so it still isn't resolved or checked before packaging. You get 6 legs and 6 holes to put them in. 2 of the holes take any of the 6 legs with no issues, 4 of the holes are not drilled out right or have a wrong sized or coarse threaded nut in them. You can either force them thru, retap them or exchange, I sadly only got 3 forced thru and the 4th one is just pure stripped. If this were a TV stand or something that didn't move I'd keep it, but since this is a bed to be slept on for ~10 years, a moving bed at that; I do not feel safe with the one main middle leg wobbly. I do feel bad for Sams club having to ship out a new one and paying to take back the old as this is clearly a manufactures defect. I contacted the manufacture SouthBay International, who imports it, directly thru email 4 days ago and have yet to get a reply, I guess they just take it as acceptable losses, despite it being such an easy fix/check. I think it has not been fixed yet as quite a few people with this issue retap their holes instead of exchanging it as defective so it's not as well reported; being that hundreds of pounds are on it and it moves, I don't want to take that risk. I would recommend buying it, knowing this risk, as it's price point is unbeatable. Knowing you can exchange without issue (it will take a few weeks to arrive). My 1 star is to hopefully get attention so the defect is fixed and Sams doesn't have to keep paying for the wasted shipping of defects.
