Such a great product and great hands free! Batteries have lasted longer than I expected. I do have a question on how to order replacement parts as my husband accidentally threw away the plastic rim that holds the bag up? It still works without but I would like to order another part if available

I received this as a Christmas gift & I love it. The hands free makes throwing things away while cooking so easy. With my old trash can which had a rotating top I still took the top off before I started cooking & it was always in someone's way. I put batteries in it when I got it & haven't had to change them in 3 months. FYI the small can takes D batteries & the big can takes Cs. When I purchased online the listing said only Ds.

I bought this trash can for my son-in-law for X-mas gift (he was surprised!) 2 years ago. The entire family loves it, it's everything you said it would be and more! they have never had any trouble with it. The small one fits in the bathroom really well. I also bought his extra batteries i thought it might need to be changed often but I see the batteries I bought are still in the drawer. They seem to love it :) the only problem I see with this trash can is "NOW I WANT ONE" So I probably will be getting one for myself!! 5***** and thanks for selling it!!

I had the large one years ago and after a few years it wouldn't work anymore.. When I ordered this time was hoping it was different. It is the same can. Top is heavy for removal of bag but does keep the bag from falling in when heavy items are placed in it. The reason I don't give it 5 stars : Small opening hard to keep the side areas clean when dumping trash.

Hi. I have purchased high range trash bins. I have one that was $200 that came from Williams and Sonoma. I have also purchased some mid-level trash containers - such as the iTouchless. I prefer the Touchless; just nicer. This trash can surpasses the iTouchless. I do not prefer black appliances or trash bins. I bought this one because it was on sale (Thank you!!) and had all the features I liked. Turns out I REALLY like it!! It sturdy, sensitive, and very nice. I recommend buying it!! Thank you.

The auto-closing lid would not respond, or get stuck in the open position after about a week of minimal use. I would manually close the lid or push the "close" button and the lid would pop back open. Customer Service at Nine Stars said, "Take out the batteries for a minimum of 24 hours, no less, and then try again." I did the twice and called back to complain. The service gal said, "Well, you have 2 options. 1.) You can send in the product for a replacement -- AT YOUR EXPENSE FOR SHIPPING -- or, 2.) You can return it to the vendor and either get a refund or order a replacement. When I further asked about this product, the fact that reviews showed it was a poor product, the gal said, "I sleep well, it's the company's policy. People who go online don't even contact us or follow through to get their products fixed who write those reviews." Um, no. I am returning this product and hope that everyone I can reach out there knows that this product, and the company's return policy is literally GARBAGE.

My son has two Jack Russells that are so smart, they have manage to get into the trash cans with lids. We are talking every type of lids, even the type you step on. TEAM WORK. He has had these for overa month now. The dogs don't both either of them ,the 2 gallon one they could open but They run at the sound. I want a set for myself. No smell and nice looking.

Since I purchased this trash can 3 years ago, I have had to replace the lid twice. The plastic hinges crack after about 18 months. It would be nice if Nine Star would sell just the plastic "flipper lid", but instead you must purchase the entire lid unit which costs from $32 to $37. I have purchased two lids and now my third one has broken as well. If I would buy my third lid I will have spent twice the price of a new trash can.

Cans themselves are of good size and durability for what is to be expected....the 'lids' however seem to be pretty cheaply made and the openings for you to deposit your tash are a little smaller than I would like. They require quite a few batteries and I am not sure how long the battery life will be. Over all I am satisfied and with the comments above would still recommend them to a friend.

Inspect the Box it comes in for Dings, because when I took my out of the Box, it had a couple of Mashed in dings. Fortunately I was able to Pop the 1 big one back into place, but there is still 1 little ding I couldn't pop out. Wherever you place it, make sure it's not a place where People walk by it all the Time, for it WILL open up when you Do walk by--Every Time!
