The downfall with this trash can is that it uses batteries and doesnt use a ac adapter. Also it opens with it wants to not when u need it to. The sensor is really messed up. I think its a light issue but im not sure. Also the on and off switch is in the trash can. Not a good look. Buyer beware.

Completely Worthwhile Purchase. My Grandmother Is Blind. So She A Difficult Time Opening A Trash Can And Getting Items In The Trash Can At The Same Time. I Don't Like Uncovered Trash Cans So We Had To Find A Way To Satisfy Both Of Us. This Trash Can Was That Answer. She Just Has To Walk Up To The Trash And It Opens For Her, Making It Easy For Her To Throw Things Away And I Get My Covered Trash Can. Thanks For The Excellent Product!

I love these trash cans lol. I was tired of the plastic ones with the top that doesn't want to lift always and you end up touching and fussing with it. Not to mention the plastic one wasn't exactly 13 gallons and I felt like I was wasting trash bags. Not n e more with these cuties. I know now that whenever its time to empty the trash can that the bag is truly full. These keep the odor down... great thing cuz my place is very small and space is limited. Now visitors r impressed and not thrown off by garbage odor. FYI: the bigger can takes 3 C batteries I think and the small one takes 3 D batteries. I'm using cheap dollar store batteries and Im impressed by how long they last. I havent changed the batteries since I've owned the product and its been maybe a month now.

I am 62 years old. i got tired of buying the cheap plastic cans at Lowes, etc. i found myself buying about 3 per year at $25 per pop. bc they tear up so often. Buy the nine stars trash can. Been using it now for 1 and a half years. Love it! Still using same batteries after 1.5 years. The liner works great! The trash can looks brand new on the inside after a year and a half of use in a family of five. Will never buy the plastic crap again. Do not hesitate to buy this trash can. You will never regret it. I'd give it 10 stars if it were an option.

I got 2 automatic stainless steel trash cans. The larger one's sensor is not that good, it takes multiple tries to have it sense some motion and then it lands up hitting my hands. It takes long to open up even after sensing. I usually just leave it open. The smaller one is great. Very accurate and quick. Overall I am happy for what I got considering the price.

I just purchased this set of 2 sensor trash cans and I was amazed at the quality. I just love not having to touch the can when I have to throw in trash. My dog was getting into the garbage and making a mess and this has solved the problem. I highly recommend this set for their quality and value price.

We needed this for an event and it arrived just a day before so we didn't really look it over or test it. A few days later I can say it only works intermittently and it arrived with surface scratches on the top which affected how nice it looked. The most annoying part is it may or may not open when it should. We'll probably return and try another.

After 2-mo of infrequent use both lids have become inoperable. We were truly impressed with the quick and soft opening/closing of the lids when they were working. Replaced the batteries on both units but still not working. Company requires you to PAY for shipping the broken unit for replacement (that would be around $45 for both on shipping!!). This has been a bad purchase for us and would suggest others to avoid buying this product. We still use them but it is very inconvenient to do so - you have to grab, pull & hold the lid with one hand (it will not stay FULLY open if let go) and use your other hand to throw in the trash. The point? A $10 waste basket works more efficiently (just push down a notch/lever/button and the lid opens and stays open, and you can now use both hands to dispose off the trash). Other than the functionality of the lids, this product is well made and looks great.

I just received my NINESTARS auto trash can and can't find anyway to attach the power cord I purchased to go with the unit so I wouldn't have to worry about battery life. The add said if I bought the two together I could save about $5.00. I decided the add was wrong and went looking for a model that uses the power cord. I found six models and none are the DZT-50-13 I ordered, and none say anything about a power cord. I did see in the question section that someone wanted to know if anyone bought the adapter. I tried to comment and wasn't logged in. Now that I am logged in I cant find that comment. I would recommend the trash container to a friend, but not the power cord. What a pain and another hour wasted.

We receive this trashcan combo set as a Wedding gift. We had just replaced all the appliances in our kitchen with stainless steel and this set was perfect match. They are both very sturdy and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new set of trash cans or a replacement set.
