I have to say that THIS trash can is the NICEST garbage can that I have EVER had! I LOVE the fact that it is a motion sensor and I dont ever have to touch the can! Its just a Brilliant product and its quality and price is GREAT! I would DEFINATELY RECOMMEND this product :)

Love them! Recently a delivery man commented (after throwing away some paper) that his $200 touchless trash can was much slower opening up, and he was even more surprised when I told him the awesome price I paid. Both cans are sleek and stylish too. Oh yea... did I tell you I LOVE my new trash cans!!

Perfect for my family members who get the heebee jeebies just thinking about coming close to a germ! Works as expected - wave your hand over the tall one, or even a knee above the sensor for the short one. They open quickly. Standard trash bags work, so you can keep using what you already have. An interior can IS included! Of note, can't keep little one next to pedastool sink or toilet. Their closeness activates the lid to open and it won't close. Just move to other wall..

Matches well with black and stainless steel appliances...and because it is slim, it doesn't take up alot of space. This is the first time I've had a trash can with a sensor for opening, and I really like it...I just have to remember not to toss something across the room into the trash...no more 3 pointers!

Easy to clean. Looks great in the kitchen. Battery lasts a long time. I always get compliments on how great it looks. The only con is you have to be very close enough to the sensor or just press the button, but not a big deal. Had it for over a year. Changed battery only twice.

My son has two Jack Russells that are so smart, they have manage to get into the trash cans with lids. We are talking every type of lids, even the type you step on. TEAM WORK. He has had these for overa month now. The dogs don't both either of them ,the 2 gallon one they could open but They run at the sound. I want a set for myself. No smell and nice looking.

It was a splurge to pay over 70 for two trash cans, but I really love them. They block garbage odors very effectively. Takes four d cell batteries each, which is not good! Why not c batteries, which are more common and cheaper! The small one doesn't fit a garbage bag so well, and sometimes trash falls between the side of the can and the bag. But the kitchen one is top notch. Just expensive for a garbage can.

I really like the trash can & it's sensor opening. Great when your hands are full & you don't want to press a button. You do have to think about the location you want to put it in. My husband and son set the sensor off quite frequently when not needed. We had family and friends over soon after getting the trash can & everyone was "impressed and amazed" by it! It looks nice also, much better than the old, dirty can we had before.

Since I purchased this trash can 3 years ago, I have had to replace the lid twice. The plastic hinges crack after about 18 months. It would be nice if Nine Star would sell just the plastic "flipper lid", but instead you must purchase the entire lid unit which costs from $32 to $37. I have purchased two lids and now my third one has broken as well. If I would buy my third lid I will have spent twice the price of a new trash can.

These 2 garbage cans work exactly like advertised and open automatically when you wave your hand above them. Just have 4 C batteries on hand for the larger one and 4 D's for the small one. Yes, seems backward, but the larger one takes C's while the smaller one takes D's.
