Completely Worthwhile Purchase. My Grandmother Is Blind. So She A Difficult Time Opening A Trash Can And Getting Items In The Trash Can At The Same Time. I Don't Like Uncovered Trash Cans So We Had To Find A Way To Satisfy Both Of Us. This Trash Can Was That Answer. She Just Has To Walk Up To The Trash And It Opens For Her, Making It Easy For Her To Throw Things Away And I Get My Covered Trash Can. Thanks For The Excellent Product!

Ordered this 2-item set from Walmart online. It arrived in a timely manner. The small trash can works great, but the large trash can sensor never worked. I can manually press the Open/Close buttons and that works but not the automatic lid sensor. No matter how many times I swipe my hand over the sensor, it never worked. I called Nine Stars customer service. They said to turn the On/Off switch to Off and remove the batteries for 24 hours. I asked why for 24 hours (seems strange to me for a reboot) and the rep couldn't answer why. At any rate, I did exactly as she said and the sensor still doesn't work. I am taking this back to Walmart this weekend. Very disappointing and a waste of my time. Maybe I just had the bad luck to get a bad set.

We purchased these on the Black Friday sale for a great price. They are great. They work as advertised. I use batteries that are intended for digital devices that way they last longer. You can use the automatic lid or turn the can off and leave the lid open if you are working and have a lot of trash to dispose of and don't want to keep opening and closing the lid. Great value considering you get 2 for the price of one.

Such a great product and great hands free! Batteries have lasted longer than I expected. I do have a question on how to order replacement parts as my husband accidentally threw away the plastic rim that holds the bag up? It still works without but I would like to order another part if available

I just purchased this set of 2 sensor trash cans and I was amazed at the quality. I just love not having to touch the can when I have to throw in trash. My dog was getting into the garbage and making a mess and this has solved the problem. I highly recommend this set for their quality and value price.

This trash can set is a must have! I was able to purchase this item on sale about 7 months ago and love it. The large trash can is perfect for the kitchen and we use the small one for the powder room. Everyone that uses the trash cans always ask where we got them from and how can they get them. The batteries have been going strong for 7 months now and have not needed to replace them. The build quality of the cans are great. They wipe down extremely easy and the stainless steal finish looks terrific. Because there is nothing to push, pull, kick, step on, etc to open the lids, the sanitation aspect alone is above anything else. I promise you will not be disappointed if you make this purchase. I would definitely recommend (and I do to everyone) buying this product.

I love these bins. Even in a small, cottage-type kitchen of WW2 vintage-era, they are nicely-rounded, not square-edged, it's a small deal for some, but I have MS. I find that point invaluable, one more thing I need, but won't bump against and bruise! Square edged bins have sharp and unforgiving corners. In every other way, these are super sleek, the lid operation is so handy, and remains undisturbed by normal foot traffic. A bonus was the fwo=fer. Great deal, happy camper!

I have a dog that is compulsive about eating EVERYTHING. He will pull anything out of the trash. I got this for Christmas to help deter him from getting in the trash. He can still get in it, but not nearly as often. It is also so much cleaner than any of the other trash cans I've had. It is made of metal and so it is difficult for him to tip over. As long as it isn't overly full he can not lift the top off of it either. Overall if you have trouble with a dog that gets into things this is worth the money. I also like this trash can for the lack of needing to touch it. As a nurse I am always looking for ways to decrease the amount of germ transfer in my day. This definitely keeps me from transferring germs to the lid as well as picking them up from placing something in the trash.

I just received my NINESTARS auto trash can and can't find anyway to attach the power cord I purchased to go with the unit so I wouldn't have to worry about battery life. The add said if I bought the two together I could save about $5.00. I decided the add was wrong and went looking for a model that uses the power cord. I found six models and none are the DZT-50-13 I ordered, and none say anything about a power cord. I did see in the question section that someone wanted to know if anyone bought the adapter. I tried to comment and wasn't logged in. Now that I am logged in I cant find that comment. I would recommend the trash container to a friend, but not the power cord. What a pain and another hour wasted.

We bought the Nine Stars no-touch trash can like this two years ago. It has a silver exterior and runs on 4 "D" batteries, so it is slightly different than the one shown here that has a black exterior and runs on "C" batteries. We love our trash can and people who see it in our home are always exclaiming that they want one like it. It has also lasted remarkably well; we are still on the first set of batteries even though they are 2 years old. So we bought this newer model (black exterior/C batteries) when we saw it on sale for under $40 because we knew we would find someone to give it to. We haven't given it yet to our planned giftee, but we set it up and it seems to be operating as efficiently as our model. The silver exterior on our model is slightly more appealing to our taste, but the black exterior is fairly sleek as well. We shall find out if the "C"battery-operated model is as durable as our "D" battery-operated model. We haven't tried the soap pump yet.
