The can itself is ok but the company (nine star) is horrible. Had the can for two months and the cover that holds the batteries in fell off into the trash. (odd design to put the batteries facing down into a trash can). Contacted company as it seems to be some sort of defect and they wanted no part of helping me. In fact after looking further into it the part itself is back ordered due to the ongoing issue. I contacted them a second time with the same results. Just ended up purchasing a different trash can in the end... There two many companies that look out for their customers to argue over a $5.00 part!! Look at other reviews on line, same issues.

These trash cans are great. We have had them for almost 20 years with no problems. I like not having to touch the can while I’m in the kitchen. Worth the investment. So we added to our collection. We were so excited to find the same brand, and the exact cans that we already had. Great product!

This trashcan looks stylish and modern in my recently redone house. Love the automatic lid, and it holds a lot, so we're not constantly taking out the trash. Shipping was right on time and it was easy to assemble. Make sure you have 3 C batteries and 2 D batteries for both cans.

I loved the first set I bought for the kitchen/bathroom, that I bought another one for my office/sewing room. Excellent quality, a much better deal than any other on the market.(I did a lot of research!) Solidly made, just put the batteries in and forget it, it opens at the wave of a finger. Batteries in my first set are still going strong.

the design is extraordinary, the shipping very efficient, but the top opening is too small, even the small bottle fascinated me just what I expected, but when I return the big bottle I have to return the small one. so I'm opting to buy the largest of this same brand.

Love this trash can- it works great and looks even better. The small trash can that comes with it is also good- a few draw backs- you can't put a trash can liner in it due to way the basket is constructed and the small trash can uses 4 D batteries and the large can- 3 C batteries.... doesn't make a lot of sense.

This was a tremendous purchase, and works great. I like having the 13 gallon size for the kitchen. I noticed a few months ago that it stopped opening and closing as concise as it once did. I decided to recharge the batteries, hoping that that would be the fix. It worked perfectly for mabebe another two days. However, it is now reverting back to either opening only halfway or staying open and not closing. I have swapped out the batteries to make sure that that was the issue. It appears that the trashcan has Jess at the end of its lifespan.

Really like this set. Smaller one is great for my bathroom. 3 gal bag fits great. Like the kitchen 13 gal can as well, bag is hidden and fits nicely. I had a normal stainless 13 gal prior that the lid ended up breaking on so I purchased these as a replacement. LOVE the automatic open and close.

We recently purchased our 2nd Nine Stars 13 gallon trash can to have one on both floors our home. The stainless steel construction is sturdy, looks good, and cleans up easily. The touchless automatic lid opening and closing feature is both practical and fun. The tight sealing lid locks in unpleasant odors. We get about 6-9 months use from a set of batteries. This was a great value from Walmart with the additional 2 gallon trash can ordered on site to store.

It broke after 6 months. The plastic rings that hold the metal bar attached to the gears both broke. I didn't abuse it in anyway...just normal use. The first plastic ring broke 2 months ago, and the second at 6 months. Now the lid doesn't latch on to the gears properly. They have a 1 year warranty, but I don't think it will cover that. That piece of the unit should really be made out of metal and not plastic. Plus, the motor started acting strange, but I hard to tell if that is an issue without the lid properly latched on. I love this unit so much...until now. I am truly disappointed.
