After visiting numerous sites to find a stainless trash can for my home this was the best deal of all for the exact same thing ( large trash can and small one to go with). It works beautifully, no problems yet. It took a while to arrive but it was probably because I ordered it very close to Xmas. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

I like the looks of the trash can. It is a very "sleek" design. It works perfectly. My only drawback, which is really not due to the product itself, is that sometimes when I walk past it, the lid will open to receive trash. However, that is because where I have to place it in my kitchen. I love it, though.

They look great and function well. Sometimes if you need to have the lid open for longer than just throwing something in the trash it will try and close on you which is annoying. Like if you are clearing food out of a pan or something like that. Biggest complaint i have is the mismatch in battery types. The large cans use "C" batteries, why do the little cans use "D" batteries? Seriously, just make them use the same battery type so i don't have to go purchase two different types of batteries. And really the lid on the small can is pretty lightweight does it really need "D" batteries? I haven't needed a "D" battery in ages, nothing I own uses them except for this now.

These 2 garbage cans work exactly like advertised and open automatically when you wave your hand above them. Just have 4 C batteries on hand for the larger one and 4 D's for the small one. Yes, seems backward, but the larger one takes C's while the smaller one takes D's.

I love these trash cans lol. I was tired of the plastic ones with the top that doesn't want to lift always and you end up touching and fussing with it. Not to mention the plastic one wasn't exactly 13 gallons and I felt like I was wasting trash bags. Not n e more with these cuties. I know now that whenever its time to empty the trash can that the bag is truly full. These keep the odor down... great thing cuz my place is very small and space is limited. Now visitors r impressed and not thrown off by garbage odor. FYI: the bigger can takes 3 C batteries I think and the small one takes 3 D batteries. I'm using cheap dollar store batteries and Im impressed by how long they last. I havent changed the batteries since I've owned the product and its been maybe a month now.

Was really excited about this trash can set. Upon unboxing we found a really great looking trash can, but then inserted the batteries to find the motion sensor DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. We have tried all kinds of movement, taken the batteries out. Nothing. Works just fine when pressing the open close buttons but not why we bought this. Again, it’s gorgeous but we will probably move on to a different brand once we get this all returned.

the look of this trashcan is amazing I love how it comes with a smaller one for the restroom, but I do have to say that it drove me crazy. the big trashcan was not working. I threw away the original package so a r ER turn was going to be a hassle. Ninestars company customer service sucks they don't answer, so I decided to review online what to do. I kept seeing how other buyers complained about either one of the trashcans not working properly and how some fixed theirs by opening up the device. I opened mine and saw that one of the wires was loose. all I had to do was make the wire longer by cutting out the plastic and wrapping it around the attachment. these trashcans are great but do have defects.

We receive this trashcan combo set as a Wedding gift. We had just replaced all the appliances in our kitchen with stainless steel and this set was perfect match. They are both very sturdy and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new set of trash cans or a replacement set.

I really like the trash can & it's sensor opening. Great when your hands are full & you don't want to press a button. You do have to think about the location you want to put it in. My husband and son set the sensor off quite frequently when not needed. We had family and friends over soon after getting the trash can & everyone was "impressed and amazed" by it! It looks nice also, much better than the old, dirty can we had before.

The auto-closing lid would not respond, it will NOT open or close (the small can) Bertha, Customer Service at Nine Stars said, "Take out the batteries for a minimum of 24 hours, no less, and then try again." I did the three, it still will not work Bertha C/S said have 2 options. 1.) You can send in the product for a replacement -- AT YOUR EXPENSE FOR SHIPPING 2.) You can return it to the vendor and either get a refund or order a replacement. POOR.... product, that this product, and the company's return policy is literally GARBAGE. DON''T BUT IT.....
