I received my units in great shape three days after I ordered them. They were packed very well and the box was not damaged. After setting them up I have noticed that the kitchen trash can has a slow response and find that I have to move my hand very slowly to get it to open. The small trash can on the other hand has an immediate response to movement. I think the sensor on that one seems to be more responsive. Overall though the product is very good and I love the fact that you can push the Open button and the lid will remain open if you have a lot of trash. I give this 4 stars only because of the sensor on the kitchen trash can.

the look of this trashcan is amazing I love how it comes with a smaller one for the restroom, but I do have to say that it drove me crazy. the big trashcan was not working. I threw away the original package so a r ER turn was going to be a hassle. Ninestars company customer service sucks they don't answer, so I decided to review online what to do. I kept seeing how other buyers complained about either one of the trashcans not working properly and how some fixed theirs by opening up the device. I opened mine and saw that one of the wires was loose. all I had to do was make the wire longer by cutting out the plastic and wrapping it around the attachment. these trashcans are great but do have defects.

I have no regrets about buying this trash can set. In fact I am buying them as presents that's how much I love them. I never thought I would say I love a trash can, but going to throw something away is actually fun and germ free. If you are on the fence, buy it you wont regret it.

We all know that things now days are not made to last - due to technological advances and to keep us spending - but I was very pleased with this product so much so that I purchased a new one when my first started to "die". Since it is not dead yet I relegated it to the basement where it won't be used as much. I liked that when I ordered this one a small one for my bathroom was included which is the perfect size. My new 13 gallon receptacle requires 3 size C batteries - the old one used 4 size D batteries - but everything appears to be the same. When cooking the hands free ability to throw things away makes it sanitary and being a gadget person I love it! Hopefully this one will last as long as my first - and it is not "dead" just operating slower even with new batteries. Truth be told it is probably tired from the years of use!

We purchased this set about a month ago, and we are already having issues with the sensor in the large can. It has basically stopped working. I have changed the batteries, bought different new batteries in case the ones that I had at home were defective, and nothing has improved the situation. The light is blinking, but nothing happens when you move your hand over the sensor. There is a small handle on the top so you can open it manually, but that isn't really convenient and obviously I was looking for a product that didn't require me touching the garbage can lid every time I want to throw something away. I am trying to contact the manufacturer to see if I can get a replacement under the 1 year warranty, but I'm not feeling optimistic about a good resolution. On the plus side - if it HAD worked well, it would have been perfect. It fits well in the space where we wanted it and doesn't smudge easily.

initially it appeared to be great but after a year and a half the touchless garbage bin could only open half of the way. After two years it requires you to open the lid yourself. It appears that it only lasts about two years even after changing the batteries.

I ordered this because our last one, the top had died completely. I picked this set so I would have one for the bathroom. The bigger can is louder when the top flips open.. and it is hard to put the bag in the small can without it sticking out or not closing properly.

The design of this hands free trash can is much better than our previous model. The rectangular opening is much larger and easier to use. The overall look is better too. We really just needed the large kitchen trash can, but the bonus smaller can has come in handy too. I highly recommend this product!

Product came really quicky, I have several friends that have this and they love it so I decided to buy it when it was on sale and when it came with the small trash can. I absolutely love it. Came just in time for Thanksgiving and I am telling you no mess on top of my trash no contamination. Easy!!

I had a set of these no touch trash cans previously, and was spoiled to them and that is why I purchased these. It is so nice to go to the kitchen garbage can with trash and not have to touch the lid. This is the greatest thing you can possibly have in your kitchen!
