The auto-closing lid would not respond, it will NOT open or close (the small can) Bertha, Customer Service at Nine Stars said, "Take out the batteries for a minimum of 24 hours, no less, and then try again." I did the three, it still will not work Bertha C/S said have 2 options. 1.) You can send in the product for a replacement -- AT YOUR EXPENSE FOR SHIPPING 2.) You can return it to the vendor and either get a refund or order a replacement. POOR.... product, that this product, and the company's return policy is literally GARBAGE. DON''T BUT IT.....

I had it for about 4 weeks and all of a sudden the lid was going up and down all night long it would not stop I e mailed the company, and they told me to take the batteries out and turn it off for 24 hrs. So I did I put the new batteries in and turned it on and it began doing the same thing. It's really a shame this is not a cheap garbage. I am very dissapointe.

Loved this product so much that I had to buy another when a broke the first (be careful not to dump a dustpan into the gears...I was not). Looks great and saves you from struggling to open a trashcan when your hands are full. Also does a great job of sealing trashcan smells in.

This trashcan looks stylish and modern in my recently redone house. Love the automatic lid, and it holds a lot, so we're not constantly taking out the trash. Shipping was right on time and it was easy to assemble. Make sure you have 3 C batteries and 2 D batteries for both cans.

I ordered this because our last one, the top had died completely. I picked this set so I would have one for the bathroom. The bigger can is louder when the top flips open.. and it is hard to put the bag in the small can without it sticking out or not closing properly.

We recently finished remodeling our kitchen and bathrooms. I purchased this trashcan set to complete our new look and they do look amazing! The kitchen trashcan is very sleek and elegant. The best: no need to purchase special bags either! The rim under the top lid allows for a full use of the 13 gallon trash cans, so there's no wasted bag space at all. It also keeps the bag inside the trashcan for a clean, polished overall look. I placed the small one in one of our bathrooms and it works like a charm. I have had them for a few months now with no complains nor regrets. My family loves them! I will definitively recommend these to anyone looking to update the look of their kitchen or bathroom. And the value for the combo set is truly unbeatable.

Bathroom one is great. Kitechen on is great EXCEPT for one problem with the sensor. I put the kitchen one in the only place it can go, but it's a high traffic area. The can opens every time someone walk by. I read the reviews before purchasing these and didn't see this issue with anyone else. I may return them.

Nice kitchen trash can that is just the right size to fill a 13 gal trash bag. It’s so nice not to have to touch the lid. The sensor won’t close on your hand if it takes you longer shoving something in better. This can is the same price or less as others it’s size but come with a free small sensor trash can that we use in our office. The large one comes with a switch to turn the sensor off and on. So if you go away a few weeks you can save your batteries. Large can takes C size and small takes D size.

Awesome. You wouldnt necessary think that a garbage can that will change the dynamics of your kitchen. This one does. I live in deep south Texas and we are still having 96 degree weather. The bugs dont like the heat any better that I do, surrounding the garbage can really be disgusting especially as it fills up. This kitchen can is very large, I was pleasantly surprised at the size. This can is not a cheapy looking can, the bags are 13 gallon The brushed silver is the same as my Frigidaier appliances. The lid opens as you put your hand on top of the can. It stays open plenty of time to scrap off the dishes. The lid closes tighly securing the trash from any smells and any bugs can not get into. I am very pleased. Excellent product.

Was really excited about this trash can set. Upon unboxing we found a really great looking trash can, but then inserted the batteries to find the motion sensor DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. We have tried all kinds of movement, taken the batteries out. Nothing. Works just fine when pressing the open close buttons but not why we bought this. Again, it’s gorgeous but we will probably move on to a different brand once we get this all returned.
