Love the automatic opener on these stainless trash cans. I placed the 13 gallon at the end of the kitchen island and everytime I walked by, it opened. Being almost 6 feet tall, I guess my hips were just at the right height to open the lid when I walked by. So, now the can has been placed against a wall in the corner and it's great!

Though it is nice and sleek looking, unfortunately it seems as it’s made of a thin aluminum and can be bent easily with an accidental bump. Actually received a bent one but I was able to bend it back, just didn’t want the hassle or returning for a new one as it might the in the same physical condition. Overall, it’s ok but not good. The automatic door works but there are times you have to have to wave at the sensor 2/3 times before it opens, and closing was a bit too fast too. Just make sure you put the trash in within 5 secs or it’ll shut on you quick. Overall, I gave it a 2 stars because of how it’s thinly made and how the operations on the auto door shut/close.

The product is great, but the ad and the packaging is incorrect. Ad says needs 4 "D" batteries each can! NO TRUE. Box says needs 4 "D" batteries total! Truth is this: 2-gallon can uses 2 "D" batteries and the 13-gallon can uses 3 "C" batteries. The ad caused me to purchase batteries I did not need and not buy all that I did need. I guess I need to buy a flashlight or two to go with the 6 extra "D" batteries?

like the idea of the automatic lid on both large and small trash cans, after two weeks, the large can doesn't operate. Before it seemed to "think about opening" and wasn't convenient in my kitchen while preparing dinners, had to wait to see if it felt like opening.

Both are attractive and work well. The 13 gallon can is actually too tall for the standard sized bag liners, and the bag is stretched when in place. To solve this issue I used one of the packing pieces and placed in the bottom thereby shortening the depth by six inches. Based on some reviews, make sure you keep all packing materials for 6 months just in case it malfunctions. Wish the entire top would open.

I just purchased this auto open trash can that I use in the kitchen. What I like is that when my hands are full of trash, I just wave my full hands or elbow over the lid and it pops up! Easy to use. There is also a button to push on the top that will leave the lid up should you need that. Then, push the second button to manually close. The second, little trash can works the same way. I tried it under a dressing table that was too low to allow the lid to work so was placed in an open spot. They look nice, work well and were a good price.

I needed something sleek and cool for my new houseboat. I loved the slim design and the motion sensor feature was attractive too. You will need 3 C batteries for the larger trash can and 2 D batteries for the smaller one. For the money, this set cannot be matched anywhere! I highly recommend and I hope you appreciate the design and practicality of this Nine Stars product as much as I do. It's kind of like having your own magic genie of a trash can. Wow!

I love the trash cans especially the sensor so its pretty much hands free until you have to change the bag but it is really easy to take off and put back together. The only thing is that both cans take different types of batteries that are not included which I didn't read before. I'm very pleased with both.

I love my 9 star. 13.2 gallon? Motion. Sensor trash? Can. Campbell fingerprint resistant stainless steel? I love the fact I don't have to touch the lid anymore. I would recommend this to anyone. How ever it didn't say that it was delivered and did not show up for 2 more days after it said delivered.

The 13 gallon trash can is fine, but the 2 gallon trash can did not work when it arrived. I sent a e-mail to NINE STARS and received instructions to check it. I followed the instructions and it did not fix anything, I sent another e-mail to Nine Stars and received the same instructions that I had received before. I wrote that this did not fix the problem. They responded with only the same e-mail that did not address my problem or the model of trash can. I did receive a RMA. Even it did address my model I returned the trash can to Nine Stars. At a cost of $12.50 for shipping the package by USPS. I am still waiting for a workable small trash can. Nine Stars has not been helpful. The added cost, the added work, does not make this a good purchase. Thank you for asking.
