I love everything about this trash can! Since I bought it a couple of months ago I haven’t had to clean it once! Also, more trash can fit into each bag since the seal that holds bag in place is so good! You really get the most out of every bag! The only thing that I don’t like is how touchy the sensors are. Every time we walk past the kitchen can it opens and closes but I still haven’t had to replace the batteries at least. It can be annoying tho, which is why I didn’t give it the full 5 stars.

I would manually close the lid or push the "close" button and the lid would pop back open. Customer Service at Nine Stars said, "Take out the batteries for a minimum of 24 hours, no less, and then try again." I did the twice and called back to complain. The service gal said, "Well, you have 2 options. 1.) You can send in the product for a replacement -- AT YOUR EXPENSE FOR SHIPPING -- or, 2.) You can return it to the vendor and either get a refund or order a replacement. I put the kitchen one in the only place it can go, but it's a high traffic area. The can opens every time someone walk by. I read the reviews before purchasing these and didn't see this issue with anyone else. I may return them.

I could not believe that I have not even place a garbage bag in it nor had I installed the batteries, and this is not even covered by the warranty. Beware only the lid is covered by warranty for 1 year. You would have thought; since only the lid is under warranty there would be no problem with the can. Looks pretty but not durable for a kitchen. The smaller can; which will have less usage is more durable. It looks like the large can should have had some type of liner as well to make it stronger for use. Just saying.

Works well, no miscues, dumping dirty plates is great. Really seals trash odors in super well with a plastic liner. 30 gal size liner last me 2.5 weeks of yuk.

I have also purchased some mid-level trash containers - such as the iTouchless. I prefer the Touchless; just nicer. This trash can surpasses the iTouchless. I do not prefer black appliances or trash bins. I bought this one because it was on sale (Thank you!!) and had all the features I liked. Turns out I REALLY like it!! It sturdy, sensitive, and very nice. I recommend buying it!! Thank you.

The overall look is better too. We really just needed the large kitchen trash can, but the bonus smaller can has come in handy too. I highly recommend this product!

We have not had them long enough to see how long the batteries will last. A simple movement of the hand over the top of the trash can will open it and then close it after you deposit your trash. We first bought the type that you step on a pedal at the floor and the can opens, but it wasn't long and the pedal quit working and then you had to lift the lid by hand. The one thing that I do not like about this new trash can is that it does not have an inside container as the old one did. The is a plastic ring that hold the trash sack in place. It must be a ghost...because I know my kids aren't throwing away their trash. Changed the batteries, but it still has a mind of it's own. Batteries needed to be changed only twice in 8 years. Large can stopped working just recently (may be because kids dropped it), but the small one still working fine. Now I am shopping for new large can and I will go for the same one. It's a great product and presents great value for your money. The only inconvenience I found, it's that you can't hose down the lid to wash, because of electrical parts, have to wipe it instead.

But theee is only one thing I wished for and that is that he menual function worked without the batteries as well. If the sensor is not working for some reason and your batteries dies the menual button to open and close the lid will not work as well. I tried it by powering off the button under the lid of the trash can. If the button is off the menual function does not work as well.

It looks great, however many people that visit have no idea how to use it and they try to grab the tiny handle and open it, it gives us a good laugh every time. The batteries seem to last forever. We got it because my son would throw his toys away in the "open" trash, now he doesn't ever throw anything away. It is pretty quiet and easy to dump. It does hold any smells in so when the lid opens it kind of blows it into the air.... all the reason to dump the trash!

Takes four d cell batteries each, which is not good! Why not c batteries, which are more common and cheaper! The small one doesn't fit a garbage bag so well, and sometimes trash falls between the side of the can and the bag. But the kitchen one is top notch. Just expensive for a garbage can.

Small bin is nice touchless too but hard to put a plastic bag in it because the lid don't close properly and sensor also get covered with plastic bag in the small bin, whereas big trashcan is better designed.
