I bought this as a gift for my parents. When they opened the box the bottom of the trash can is damaged. Reached out to the manufacturer but have not heard back from them. I hope they can fix the issue. Other than that it’s nice to have!

I was looking for a combo of a large and small trash can for my house and Walmart had it! I use the smaller one in a bathroom downstairs and the larger one in the kitchen. I would recommend this combo for anyone

My family absolutely love this trash can. It was a big hit on New Year's Day! The motion sensor lid and the size of the trash can is a huge attraction.

We have this garabge can at our other house and we needed to get one for this house. It stays so much cleaner when the lid opens by itself. I think we got spoiled.

I purchased the can set in September 2024. As of March 2026, the large can no longer opens and closes. I put in fresh batteries. When you open the can the gears try and make noise but does not open or close. It seems the plastic gear is worn down. Basically stripped. Can only has a 1-year warranty. Sams Club said they cannot help. As another reviewer stated, it works great when it newer. Being plastic it will soon strip and fail for you as well. Now I just have to leave it open or manually rig something up to open and close it. The flat surface top is hard to get your fingers into the "knob" to easily open. I tried to add a short video, but this review does not allow videos.

I love this concept as I have a little one that loves to throw things away but the step pedals require more muscle. Anyway, the execution is poor. First my battery back and batteries both fell off into the trash and were discarded without our knowledge. The unit will often continue to open and close on its own. Currently the sensor doesn’t work I have to manually press open/close for it to work. Not worth the hassle and money.

We love these! Everyone who comes to our home seems fascinated by the technology! These work great, and they make it easier to throw things out-- especially when your hands are full! I compared prices before purchasing, and Sam's had the best deal! We use the large one in the kitchen and the smaller one in our home office. The stainless steel finish makes them quite attractive.

I would not recommend anybody buying this trash can. The lid doesn't always open right away. There is lag time with the sensors and it seriously is annoying. Also the open and close labels cracked and I've only had the trash can for a few months. I have a small family of 3 so there is no heavy traffic in my house. The wear and tear literally comes from God knows where. Such a let down. And if you are one for the trash can for looks, not the product for you. You can see the trash bag from the outside of the trash can There is no way to hide it DO NOT BUY.

This is the second time I bought these trash cans. The first time the large can didn't work. the sensor wouldn't open the lid. I put brand new batteries in and it still wouldn't work. The light came on, but the lid didn't open. The small can worked great. I called Nine Stars and got no help. They said I could send it back (my cost for shipping) and they would send a new one. I took it back to Sam's Club and got my money back. Silly me, I bought another set (this one I'm reviewing) and the big can worked, but the small one didn't work. Again, the lights come on but the sensor doesn't respond. I'm keeping it, but can't use the small one. Won't ever buy another from this company. Too bad because they are cool when they work.

Works well , no issues so far. The price was the best part
