I love everything about this trash can! Since I bought it a couple of months ago I haven’t had to clean it once! Also, more trash can fit into each bag since the seal that holds bag in place is so good! You really get the most out of every bag! The only thing that I don’t like is how touchy the sensors are. Every time we walk past the kitchen can it opens and closes but I still haven’t had to replace the batteries at least. It can be annoying tho, which is why I didn’t give it the full 5 stars.

This is the first time I've had a trash can with a sensor for opening, and I really like it...I just have to remember not to toss something across the room into the trash...no more 3 pointers!

The larger one's sensor is not that good, it takes multiple tries to have it sense some motion and then it lands up hitting my hands. It takes long to open up even after sensing. I usually just leave it open. The smaller one is great. Very accurate and quick. Overall I am happy for what I got considering the price.
For $49 it was a great deal

So far everything has worked fine. I can tell that the batteries will not last too long. It is not the most sturdy can I have ever seen, but is adequate. The soap dispenser works fine too-also getting the kids to wash hands! It needs some weight in the bottom. So I will keep it filled and that should work.

The little can still has the original batteries in it and is showing no signs of dying anytime soon. With the large can the battery door fell off one day and wound up going out with the trash by accident. Having this trash can makes life in the kitchen so easy because you can throw something like chicken packaging away and get right back to prepping your chicken without worrying about contaminating items or having to wash dirty trash can lids germs off your hands. The sensor is a little sensitive at times. You can be quite a bit away from it and it will open up. It really is a great product. The small can is nice to have but doesn't get used as much as my kitchen trash can.
Everyone is happy to throw their trash away!

They wipe down extremely easy and the stainless steal finish looks terrific. I noticed a few months ago that it stopped opening and closing as concise as it once did. I decided to recharge the batteries, hoping that that would be the fix. It worked perfectly for mabebe another two days. However, it is now reverting back to either opening only halfway or staying open and not closing. I have swapped out the batteries to make sure that that was the issue. It appears that the trashcan has Jess at the end of its lifespan.
Works great until warranty expires.

When you have your hands full of trash and don't have one free to lift a lid this trash can is awesome. Just stand in front of it and the lid lifts automatically. Changing the trash bag is a breeze. It has stayed in place with no problems so far. As far as the soap dispenser (from another review), there is an on/off switch located on the bottom. If you turn it on it works great. The hands free dispenser is fun to use and my toddler loves to wash his hands.

We love it and we have not had to replace anything but the batteries. My family liked it so much they all bought one. The 13 gallon bags fits nicely and it is slim enough not to be intrusive. When the average stainless steel can cost $50 and above why not by this one and not have to touch the can. For me this was a great buy!

I would manually close the lid or push the "close" button and the lid would pop back open. Customer Service at Nine Stars said, "Take out the batteries for a minimum of 24 hours, no less, and then try again." I did the twice and called back to complain. The service gal said, "Well, you have 2 options. 1.) You can send in the product for a replacement -- AT YOUR EXPENSE FOR SHIPPING -- or, 2.) You can return it to the vendor and either get a refund or order a replacement. It is great when you have your hands full to just be able to waive your hand above the lid and poof the lid opens. They look great in stainless steel and the batteries last a long time. I use batteries that are intended for digital devices that way they last longer. You can use the automatic lid or turn the can off and leave the lid open if you are working and have a lot of trash to dispose of and don't want to keep opening and closing the lid. Great value considering you get 2 for the price of one.
