I love everything about this trash can! Since I bought it a couple of months ago I haven’t had to clean it once! Also, more trash can fit into each bag since the seal that holds bag in place is so good! You really get the most out of every bag! The only thing that I don’t like is how touchy the sensors are. Every time we walk past the kitchen can it opens and closes but I still haven’t had to replace the batteries at least. It can be annoying tho, which is why I didn’t give it the full 5 stars.

- 4 out of 5 stars review5/25/2020the look of this trashcan is amazing I love how it comes with a smaller one for the restroom, but I do have to say that it drove me crazy. the big trashcan was not working. I threw away the original package so a r ER turn was going to be a hassle. Ninestars company customer service sucks they don't answer, so I decided to review online what to do. I kept seeing how other buyers complained about either one of the trashcans not working properly and how some fixed theirs by opening up the device. I opened mine and saw that one of the wires was loose. all I had to do was make the wire longer by cutting out the plastic and wrapping it around the attachment. these trashcans are great but do have defects.

It has a silver exterior and runs on 4 "D" batteries, so it is slightly different than the one shown here that has a black exterior and runs on "C" batteries. We love our trash can and people who see it in our home are always exclaiming that they want one like it. It has also lasted remarkably well; we are still on the first set of batteries even though they are 2 years old. So we bought this newer model (black exterior/C batteries) when we saw it on sale for under $40 because we knew we would find someone to give it to. No trash problem from my pet anymore, my German Shepperd has not been able to open it, Hurray. It's funny when people ask you how you open it. Great conversation piece with lots of laughs about it.

It does not have a bucket it is only the stainless steel and you drop a bag in there and it has a little guard going around the top to hopefully hold it in place. I thought about sending it back but I didn’t want to full with the return process. I am going to keep an eye on it but my fear is dropping wet stuff in the trash (uneaten plate of spaghetti) and it dripping out of the bottom of the bag and messing the can up. I have had this happen before with the plastic trashcans so I know what I am talking about, just don’t know if it will come across right

They came real fast and tuey both work fine. M glad I bought. the kitchen one bc now I don't have lift the lid up anymore, just touch one button and the lid open right up. You do not smell anything once its closed. You do need batteries for both cans. He bathroom can wws too big for my small studio bathroom so i gave it away but it worked fine and i would have kept it if my was bigger. But you wont regret buying these cans.

It would be nice if Nine Star would sell just the plastic "flipper lid", but instead you must purchase the entire lid unit which costs from $32 to $37. I have purchased two lids and now my third one has broken as well. If I would buy my third lid I will have spent twice the price of a new trash can.

I needed a large one for my nursery and a small one for my bathroom. I gave up the diaper genie and purchased this large stainless steel trash can hoping it would mask the smell pretty well with using my regular garbage bags that I use in my kitchen trash can. It's working very well so far so good however if there is a poopy diaper and there I only smell it once the lid has been opened as long as the lid remains closed everything is all good so normally when I change a diaper I will throw it away as soon as I'm getting redy to exit the room. We were moving when we bought these trash cans and with most moves comes lots of trash. It was nice to not have to fumble with a trash can lid. Now that we are moved in, it comes in handy when I am cooking or trying to get ready to take out the trash. The only negative I can think of is that because the little trash can has a removable bin, it doesn't hold a trash bag very well.

Works as expected - wave your hand over the tall one, or even a knee above the sensor for the short one. They open quickly. Standard trash bags work, so you can keep using what you already have. An interior can IS included! Of note, can't keep little one next to pedastool sink or toilet. Their closeness activates the lid to open and it won't close. Just move to other wall..

Although it looks good, durability will be a challenge -- it doesn't appear like it will last more than a couple of years of continual use, so GET IT ON SALE. Plan ahead and get some batteries in advance. If the sensor ever goes out, I'll throw the whole thing away since the top is difficult to open manually. The opening on the top is smaller than the entire opening, but fits a paper plate nicely. Again... find it on sale and good luck with it for the long-haul.
