I owned this product for years and could not find a replacement when it died after years of good service.. I was very happy to see it available from Sam's. I ordered it so fast in did not realize I was getting two. when I opened it I was surprised to see that not only did a have my favoritism can back but it had a baby!!!

I had one of the old models and when it worked, it worked great. I hope this one is made better and I won't need to take it apart and fix. This new one opens quickly and closes well, the bags of garbage are much easier to remove with this can they come right out.

I purchased the can set in September 2024. As of March 2026, the large can no longer opens and closes. I put in fresh batteries. When you open the can the gears try and make noise but does not open or close. It seems the plastic gear is worn down. Basically stripped. Can only has a 1-year warranty. Sams Club said they cannot help. As another reviewer stated, it works great when it newer. Being plastic it will soon strip and fail for you as well. Now I just have to leave it open or manually rig something up to open and close it. The flat surface top is hard to get your fingers into the "knob" to easily open. I tried to add a short video, but this review does not allow videos.

Definitely recommend this trash can! It came packaged in perfect condition, no flaws or dents. With as much cooking and baking I do this has been such a help love the motion sensor and not having to lift or touch the lid every time I throw something out. Kids & family love it! Perfect size for the kitchen and our family! Love that it came with a smaller one for an amazing price! Thank you Sams & Nine Stars!

This is the second time I bought these trash cans. The first time the large can didn't work. the sensor wouldn't open the lid. I put brand new batteries in and it still wouldn't work. The light came on, but the lid didn't open. The small can worked great. I called Nine Stars and got no help. They said I could send it back (my cost for shipping) and they would send a new one. I took it back to Sam's Club and got my money back. Silly me, I bought another set (this one I'm reviewing) and the big can worked, but the small one didn't work. Again, the lights come on but the sensor doesn't respond. I'm keeping it, but can't use the small one. Won't ever buy another from this company. Too bad because they are cool when they work.

Bought this set because of the great value and sleek looks. It works great! The lid opens when it’s supposed to and stays open for an ample amount of time before closing. Easy to change out garbage bags. Looks nice in my kitchen. I have the smaller can in my bedroom. It has a handle so you can pull out the liner and change the bag.

We love these! Everyone who comes to our home seems fascinated by the technology! These work great, and they make it easier to throw things out-- especially when your hands are full! I compared prices before purchasing, and Sam's had the best deal! We use the large one in the kitchen and the smaller one in our home office. The stainless steel finish makes them quite attractive.

I would not recommend anybody buying this trash can. The lid doesn't always open right away. There is lag time with the sensors and it seriously is annoying. Also the open and close labels cracked and I've only had the trash can for a few months. I have a small family of 3 so there is no heavy traffic in my house. The wear and tear literally comes from God knows where. Such a let down. And if you are one for the trash can for looks, not the product for you. You can see the trash bag from the outside of the trash can There is no way to hide it DO NOT BUY.

Like everything especially the small trash can. works well price is ok too.

The price you can't beat, and they work good.
