We usually have it for breakfast, but use it for all things that need bacon! A little disappointed with our last 3 lb package had 4 slices that were " thin" not thick cut!! Not unusual to have one.... to make weight, is my guess. But 4 slices in package is not acceptable! Thick cut still there, when done cooking, thin cut..... not much left.

I want to start off by saying this review has NO reflection on the retailer. I bought 3 packages and they were nothing but fat! So bad I took pictures to send to the mfg. As in totally worthless to consume but perfect for topping off my bacon grease container. Been a Black Label fan for years. This is NOT Black Label quality!!!!

I love that they have the low sodium option as well, but the original thick cut is our go-to. Highly recommend...you won't be disappointed!

I was left to choose this brand because the wright bacon was all sold out due to hoarding on my last trip. It's not bad as far as bacon goes but it's not as thick as wright bacon, nor is it as tasty. It's very salty in comparison. When wright is back in stock I will be returning to it.

I bought this thick cut bacon and am very disappointed with the bacon itself. It is extremely thin - paper thin - very fatty, and the slices are not uniformly cut. Some slices are in places almost twice as wide as others, with the extra being paper-thin fat. Most distressing is that I weighed my bacon to divide and freeze in three 1-lb packages. My bacon weighed 2 lbs, 10 oz - 6 ounces short. That’s a big difference! I know my scale is accurate because I routinely buy and weigh out ground beef and other food items for repackaging. I have never had such a shortage. Needless to say, I will not purchase this product in the future and most likely not any any product from this supplier.

I know people love their bacon but come on there not a bacon shortage leave some on the shelves for Pete sakes so I can have a pack other then once every 2-3 months ugh!

We have always been delighted with the Black Label Thick Slice Bacon we purchased from Publix. This time we purchased 2 packages as typical and Thick Slice they are not. After cooking they are thin and short albeit the flavor was still what we expected. Maybe the bacon was placed in the wrong package?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hello, I buy Hormel's thick cut bacon nearly every time I buy bacon, it's always top quality and I never have issues with it being slimy or not fresh tasting like I have experienced with other brands.

We love the black label thick cut bacon and I've never had a problem with it until today. These slices are so paper thin and shredded that I can't believe this bacon made it past quality control. I expect a certain quality from Hormel and I'm just not seeing it this morning. I'm disappointed and I feel cheated. I can't help but wonder if someone new is in charge; is this going to be the new norm?

Purchased this items many times with no issues, the last 3lb package was different. The package looked fine in a vacuum seal fashion, appeared properly handled and refrigerated fashion. When the package was opened at home a slight odd odor was detected like spoked meat. I was unsure and continued to break it down to 1 lb portions to freeze. Later a frozen package was removed and noticed a foul odor was still present. Threw the entire 3 lbs away. Being pork did not want to take a chance and get sick from food poisoning.
