I've been purchasing the thick bacon for over a year now. I always buy two at a time, break it apart and put three pieces in a bag and then freeze it so whenever I want it it's easy to pull out and cook for one person. It's always been perfect. Well today I purchased two went to open to bag three pieces and it turns out now the thick is thin. This really ticks me off.

I use it in a variety of dishes, including various bean dishes like green beans, add some to red beans, baked beans, etc. I also like to use it for my cabbage and other greens, in my mac & cheese casserole, crumble for salads, in my stuffed baked potatoes, and of course in omelets. And, just cooking slices and eating as a breakfast side is a staple use. Yummy!

This was the only bacon I would buy. On my most recent purchase, it seems like more "solution" was added and it took forever to cook. The slices were not thick cut and the bacon lacked it signature "smoky" flavor. Not very happy with the quality of this batch...

I always try to purchase thick cut bacon and the price was right for three pounds at less than $14.00. This bacon has good flavor and not too salty. However, it isn't as thick sliced as other brands I have purchased. After cooking it is thin like regular sliced. I may purchase it again because it is flavorful but I prefer thicker slicedbacon

We usually have it for breakfast, but use it for all things that need bacon! A little disappointed with our last 3 lb package had 4 slices that were " thin" not thick cut!! Not unusual to have one.... to make weight, is my guess. But 4 slices in package is not acceptable! Thick cut still there, when done cooking, thin cut..... not much left.

I bought this thinking I’d get some nice bacon. But I was very disappointed, it was more fat than meat. Not what I was expecting from Hormel. I will not buy this again and would not recommend it. If I hadn’t already opened and started cooking it, I would return it!

I enjoyed the thick and wide cuts of bacon this product offered and other products made by Hormel. The down side is the salt content. I am not sure if this was an error in the curing / ingredient process of this particular shipment, but it is inedible. I even tried to mix up the cooked bacon into a recipe, but the salt was over powering. I will be throwing the rest away. Disappointed.

Been buying this bacon for 10 or 15 years, well satisfied, until the last two times I've purchased it. The time before you could see through it. This last time I believe they killed a 30lb pig instead of a 300lb hog. Shame on Hormel and Sams Inspectors. If your going to sell poor Quality at least lower your prices

I don't know what it is about this bacon but when I cook Black Label Bacon, it will wake her up and she has a smile on her face. I use this Black Label bacon for everything I cook with bacon.
