I always try to purchase thick cut bacon and the price was right for three pounds at less than $14.00. This bacon has good flavor and not too salty. However, it isn't as thick sliced as other brands I have purchased. After cooking it is thin like regular sliced. I may purchase it again because it is flavorful but I prefer thicker slicedbacon

I was very surprised by the taste of this trusted brand name. The price was excellent but that was the best part. I've used it for several different recipes and the unpleasant taste came coursing through. Probably a one off experience, but I won't buy this again

We love the black label thick cut bacon and I've never had a problem with it until today. These slices are so paper thin and shredded that I can't believe this bacon made it past quality control. I expect a certain quality from Hormel and I'm just not seeing it this morning. I'm disappointed and I feel cheated. I can't help but wonder if someone new is in charge; is this going to be the new norm?

This was the only bacon I would buy. On my most recent purchase, it seems like more "solution" was added and it took forever to cook. The slices were not thick cut and the bacon lacked it signature "smoky" flavor. Not very happy with the quality of this batch...

I bought this thinking I’d get some nice bacon. But I was very disappointed, it was more fat than meat. Not what I was expecting from Hormel. I will not buy this again and would not recommend it. If I hadn’t already opened and started cooking it, I would return it!

Good flavor but the looks of package are deceiving. The slices in the package doesn’t not have the same cut as the first one you see. The slices under are all narrow and it’s very fatty more fat than meat. Definitely would not recommend unless you’re on a budget.

I buy this brand of bacon all the time, but this package was horrible. The bacon should have been used for straps. Not a single bacon was whole or full. I'm not sure what happen to this package but it was bad. I've heard that the worst item are sent to urban areas. Should this happen again I will be a convinced.

We usually have it for breakfast, but use it for all things that need bacon! A little disappointed with our last 3 lb package had 4 slices that were " thin" not thick cut!! Not unusual to have one.... to make weight, is my guess. But 4 slices in package is not acceptable! Thick cut still there, when done cooking, thin cut..... not much left.

I've been purchasing the thick bacon for over a year now. I always buy two at a time, break it apart and put three pieces in a bag and then freeze it so whenever I want it it's easy to pull out and cook for one person. It's always been perfect. Well today I purchased two went to open to bag three pieces and it turns out now the thick is thin. This really ticks me off.

I want to start off by saying this review has NO reflection on the retailer. I bought 3 packages and they were nothing but fat! So bad I took pictures to send to the mfg. As in totally worthless to consume but perfect for topping off my bacon grease container. Been a Black Label fan for years. This is NOT Black Label quality!!!!
