Ground fresh daily? Can't be true

TWICE I have purchased the 90/10 ground beef which was beautifully red, looked great; When I get it home, it's totally brown on the inside, under all that red. I have take it back twice. Now, I will not purchase unless I see them package it up for me.

Disappointed!

I have bought the 90/10 ground beef for several years and it has always been very good. However the package I bought this last time (May 2019) had a destintive chemical smell to it, even when I was cooking it. I just couldn't serve it to my family. I ended up throwing it away.

The meat on the outside looks good but it is brown in the inside. The last 5-6 times I purchased, it was this way. Of course i googled it and found that brown is more than likely normal. So, I just went with it. However my most recent purchase, red on outside. Kept in fridge one night and the next day it was brown and gray. It was completely rotten before the supposed expiration date. I will not be purchasing my ground beef from Sam’s anymore. The quality wasn’t always like this.

Great value, great beef.

We have been buying the cases of 90% lean ground beef for years now to supply our growing family. The case price allows for a great value, and we package it and freeze it until we need it. It is different than what most are used to because it has less fat, but it cooks up quick and doesn't need the extensive draining most hamburger needs. I would miss this item if Sam's Club discontinued it. Even just the one chub price is still a great value compared to other stores for lean ground beef.

Ground beef

I have purchased Sam's Club ground beef for quite some time. However something has changed in the processing and not for the better. It is horrible the ground beef feels slimy and wet. There is also dark perhaps old ground beef mixed in the middle. We ended up preparing it for the dogs. I will not buy anymore ground beef from Sam's Club!

Great quality beef at a consistent low price!

This ground beef is excellent-far better quality than the ground beef at my local grocery stores.It is very lean,so lean that almost no fat cooks out but it is still moist and flavorful.It makes excellent burgers and I especially like using it for meatloaf since it is not greasy.I was initially skeptical about buying meat in a tube because it looks kind of brown,but once opened it turns bright red.I really hope Sam's keeps selling this ground beef-it is one of my must-have items!

This isn’t meat.

Ok.i bought this 2days ago and I’ve always bought this ground beef for years, when it was 90/10 and even after it became 88/12 because the quality was pretty good,clean ,lean meat ..but I don’t know what you guys are starting to do but this isn’t meat ..I cooked from it twice the texture in hand is the same except there’s no fatty residue but when I cook it it’s not the same. I made burgers twice and noticed it’s not the same ..I don’t know what y’all are doing but I hope you’re not adding “extra” things in there with dye to pass it off as meat!! Ever since they no longer ground the meat in the stores little by little it started to change first with the fat percentage and now god knows what you’re mixing in it ..but it’s not meat! Not sure if I’ll continue to buy it unless I see it looks like the meat I used to buy .

Should be called hamburger and water

I had not bought hamburger there for a very long time and could not remember why I stopped. So I bought some. Mistake. I personally like to fry my hamburger, not boil it. I cooked 2 pounds of hamburger and drained off 3/4 cup of water. And who knows how much water evaporated off too. Yeah, the price looks good, until you realize you are paying that price for water. There should be ZERO water in meat. Gross.

Quality dropped

I always buy this ground beef from sams . But suddenly noticed that the quality has been dropped and does have the same taste and flavor that it used to have . Before it used to be red color but now it is light pink . Though they say 10% fat but my opinion fat is more than 25 % what gives it a lighter color
