Purchase 2 x iGEN2500 plus parallel cable

Both units started on first pull and ran in parallel successfully. The generators ran the air conditioners, the microwave and HWS on electric but went into overload when an electric heater was added. The only negatives were that one of the screws attaching the engine cover was stripped and one of the generators backfired when shut off.

So far great generator

As other reviewer have mentioned, buying a spare spark plug was a good idea. Just like other units, my plug was delivered cracked. Popped in my new plug, and it started right up. I haven't used it yet beyond my break-in run, but have no other concerns. Seems like a well built solid generator.

So far, so good!

Poured oil in, filled with gas, started on first pull! I ran it the first time for 9 hours (powering a large fan) and there's still gas left in it, so it appears the unit will operate on a single tank of fuel for a full work day, or full night depending on how you're planning to use it. My only criticism is: The side-panel you remove to access the oil dipstick and fill nozzle doesn't come off when you unscrew it, and theres NO handle or other physical features you can get a grip on to remove the panel... so you end up wondering what you're doing wrong, then when you get a flat screw driver to pry it off, the action damages the soft plastic housing. There needs to be a molded feature in the panel (or a handle strapped to it) so you can remove that side panel without prying it and causing damage to the housing. It's very quiet. Operating on the back patio you could barely hear it though the walls and (closed) windows).

Started on the Second pull!

Was so glad to finally get this 2,200 running watt generator to use with our 5th wheel.I had already installed a Micro Air Easy Start on our 13,500 BTU air conditioner so I would not have to deal with my 3,500 watt generator weighting in at 114 pounds in the back of our truck. As soon as it got here I read the instructions, filled the oil, filled the gas and it started right up (on the second pull). Let it warm up for a few minutes then plugged in the 5th wheel. Then went inside and turned on the air and let it run for a hour and half. The generator never missed a beat it just kept cranking out the watts! Looking forward to some great boon docking this summer. Thanks Westinghouse for a great product.

WORKED FLAWLESSLY - This thing is GOLD!

Power was cut for 2 days of maintenance... since I work from home I had one shot to get this right and Im glad I did. Never looked back. 1 15CF Refrigerator/Freezer 1 Chest Freezer 1 APC UPS 1500W powering 2 laptops, 1 docking station, 3 monitors, headset 2 Fans 1 Breville coffee maker At first I wasnt sure it was working.... nothing registered a load. Barely registered when the ref/Freezer kicked in but barely. Once the cappucino maker kicked in at 1800W it shot up to 50% load during the duration of the heating operation. After the cappuccino maker was done - it went back down to purring like a cat. If I had need for a second one I will buy the same one - but this one served nicely. Make sure to buy a Y cable or other converter with the proper gauge maybe 10/12

Just What We Were Looking For....

We live in Hurricane alley in Florida and decided this year we would be prepared. We wanted to have an inverter generator on hand to run chest freezer, fans, lamps and recharge electronic items. We wanted portable, light, reliable, and easy start. After extensive research we selected the iGen 2600. We liked the higher starting 2600 watts and the continuous 2200 watts should easily power what we need. So far it has been easy to maintain and starts with 1 pull!

First Portable Inverter Generator

Filled the engine up with supplied oil and pulled cord several time to get the oil moving around. Put about a half gallon in the tank. The unit started in 3 or 4 pulls. The engine died a couple of times but is running steady now. Plan to use the generator for my drone business and the house if the power were to go out for any length of time. I was concerned about how will the unit would run since my house is at 6000 feet+. Prior to buying, I called customer support they told me that the unit had been tested up to 4500 feet. The rep said that in early 2018 they were going to sell a high altitude kit. So I plan to buy that once they start selling them.

Lighter than my Kawasaki 1400

My son bought two of these after much research. He uses them in tandem to power an arch-welder and all of his power tools in his 20 ft long trailer workshop; and he is quite satisfied. For me, I own a Lance camper and travel for a living, and sometimes I am away for months at a time. I needed a portable generator that would power everything in the camper, including my ham radio equipment, my laptop, and, especially, the air conditioning; though the air conditioning pretty much maxes it out, so I probably won't be able to run the ham radio at full power while running the air conditioning on high. This generator fills the bill. It is much quieter and lighter (about ten pounds lighter) than the old Kawasaki 1400, which couldn't handle the air conditioning, anyway. Three cheers for Westinghouse!

Three cheers for you, Ambrosio! We're so happy to hear that you and your son have been able to enjoy the unbridled power the iGen2500 can bring to your traveling life! Thank you for sharing such kind words in your experience with Westinghouse, and we love the picture you posted with your fifth wheel. Looks like you'll be having a great time. Happy camping!

The size of a gas can, the power of an RV

We bought this after hurricane Irma. For years and years I had resisted getting a generator due to the "in your face" statement of externalized costs that it represents for one's neighbors. "Those things are so loud and smelly," I thought. Not so with the iGen. It is quiet and its inverter operation means it's energy consumption is proportional to the current being drawn.
