Paralleling works great

After firing up both iGen2500's in parallel, I Plugged in two 1500 watt heaters. Efficiency Mode switch's on. Both gens slightly rev'd up together with both gen's showing only 50% load. Only one small complaint, the threads on plastic Gas Cap were too tight on one of the generators. I think a little quality control was missed here. The cap should free spin all the way down till the last quarter turn then click tighten. This cap has too much friction from start to tight.

Great power

I bought this for RV use. It will start my 15.5k btu rv air conditioner, but the AC does have a soft start capacitor to lower start up amps. It's quiet enough to not bother me and it started on the second very easy pull. Love the run time clock and the fuel gauge.

Great Start

I bought this after looking at many like it. I found a price I couldn’t pass and when it came I wasn’t disappointed. Added oil and it started on the first pull. I operate a mobile DJ business and this will come in handy for running my equipment off-grid if the time ever comes. I did an event with a generator of a different brand and am anxious to try this one.

Nice little Unit

We bought 2 of them a while back to use in our trailer in case of an emergency. We are seniors and wanted something that was easier to lift. We figured we get two smaller ones that are less weight and combine them to have enough power to run our 35' trailer. The noise level is pretty good, no complaints. I hope they last a long time.

Highly recommend, especially for RV camping

I purchased this generator to run my Rockwood Mini-light 2109S travel trailer. It has a 13.5K BTU air conditioning system. It was actually able to start the AC with no modifications but I am at 340 feet above sea level. I purchased the Micro-Air soft start for the air conditioner and now this generator can run the AC even in econo-mode. The generator is very quiet and spools up instantly when needed. This generator has an LED display that tells how much power you're drawing, how much fuel is left, voltage and how much run time you have at any given power setting. The only thing it is missing is a hobbs meter but this unit beats the Honda 2000 in power and has more features. The only question I couldn't get an answer for is the type of cylinder (Cast iron or other?). So far, I can't speak highly enough of this generator. Westinghouse has been around for a long time. Parts shouldn't be a problem... 3 year warranty. DO IT!!

Backup power inverter generator

Awesome products by Westinghouse. Instructions are very clear and started up on the 2nd pull. 1st pull thereafter. I got this little baby to run during the night in case of a power outage - to keep noise level low and reduced wattages while sleeping. I also have the WH7500 which I had for 5 years now and always started. Do your maintenance and testing throughout the year and you will be good to go! Another satisfied customer.

Great compromize on size, weight and power.

With 2500 peak watts, this is just a bit bigger than the usual 2000ish watt generators I was looking for to power my RV's 13.5K air conditioner while boondocking. It does successfully start my AC if I have absolutely everything else turned off. (May add a soft start capacitor to the AC to ease the startup load) Wish the access panel to check the oil was toolless like the spark plug access panel. Great compromize on size, weight and power.

So quiet!

We were recently out of power and borrowed my daughter 9500 and her 2500. The noise level using the 2500 is what sold us on buying our own generator. It was powerful enough to run our refrigerators and freezers along with a light and phone accessories easily.

It’s A Keeper!

It’s a keeper! However, it appears two hose clamps they use on each end of the one NON-reinforced rubber line are a thin (VERY thin!) wire and I don’t see how those thin wire clamps won’t eventually slice right through that soft rubber - especially if there is any vibration or movement (I.e., riding around in the bed of a pickup or something). AND ^those^ same hoses are running above the carburetor, etc, (not sure if fuel or, other, lines). Strange thing is it is plain to see they used ”normal” “wide” metal band type clamps on reinforced hoses elsewhere. To say the least, “Interesting.“ Think I’ll source some of those rubber hoses, just to have some lengths as fuel line backup and I may not wait to replace those “razor garrote” type clamps with some normal, wider, “band” -type clamps. LOL, I ran the genny for 5-hours to break in as recommended (with varying loads) … TWO AND A HALF HOURS after the display said, ”On Empty” … and it’s STILL running! Granted, there’s nothing plugged into the generator but, went past 120 mins still running after “Fuel Tank Empty” indicator came on! When prepping the genny for Long Term Storage, Its the spark plug location that makes things interesting: When taking the plug out you will notice the spark plug access hole in the top of the chassis is NOT centered over the plug and you will notice the provided spark plug tube (you really can’t call it a true socket or, even a wrench) is actually “crooked” to the spark plug, that is, NOT ALIGNED a with the plug, as you’re rotating the plug out. You can use the el cheapo 13/16” “Pakistani” plug wrench to take the spark plug out but, DO NOT TRY AND USE THAT PIECE OF TIN SCRAP TO TRY AND PUT YOUR SPARK PLUG BACK IN!!!!! More than likely doing so - you’ll wind up stripping the threads in the top of the engine and game over. Instead, use a 3” length of fuel hose pushed over the top of the plug (ceramic end) to gingerly turn the plug backwards (reverse, as if you were taking it out again) until you feel (and perhaps hear) that little “snick” that tells you the male threads on the plug have “dropped into” and are aligned with the female threads inside the top of the engine. ^That^ worked like a charm after I dabbed a pin prick of anti-seize on the plug threads and then I slabbed a little Dialectric Grease around the outside of the rubber boot before snapping the boot back atop the spark. All in all this is a fine little gennie for the price - perfect for powering tools to build a cabin off grid or, in my case, allow the wife to stream on her iPad with a fan for the dog and lots of lights etc and even allow us utilization of our 110 powered Rinnai water heater system. The display panel is a great help (I usually have to install an hour meter on our generators to keep track of Preventative Maintenance) as is the fact they provide an effective funnel for oil fillings. The one thing I gotta ding ‘em on are those two “razor wire” rings they use as clamps around the soft rubber hose above the carburetor - they‘re gonna cause problems eventually, fer sure!

Fuel Level Indicator

New out of box. Fuel level indicator does not work properly. Only shows one indicator light, fuel tank was filled to about 3/4 full. Then filled to the red ring.Still only shows one fuel level indicator light. Hooked up heat lamp to generator and was running fine. Control Panel missing 2 bottom screws. 3 Stars because new unit was not 100%.
