I purchased almost 2 months ago. Wanted to be able to plug in my refrigerators in case we ever lose power. Finally got to open the box. Right away, you can tell that it’s made well. Filled up the fluids. It started up on the second pull. Plugged in a 1500 watt heater and no issues running. Of course this heater consumed over half of the available wattage that the generator puts out. The wattage consumption that this heater uses is equivalent to the 2 refrigerators and 1 freezer that I need to power in case of a power outage. A little older than I expected, especially when there’s a load. Overall, very happy with the purchase. Hope I don’t ever have to use it, but if I do, I’m confident that it will do the job.

I've just finished the break-in cycle and so far no issues. Runs well, and starts as it should. First real test will come when I have a chance to get the camper out of storage and try the AC, will update if I have any issues running my 13.5 BTU AC.

Hard to start at first then immediately went to an over speed situation and indicator showed over load situation. Unable to contact service on 7/3 and when contacted them 7/5 there was NO sense of helping a traveling customer get a replacement shipped soon enough to catch up with us.

The iGen 2500 started right up. It was surprisingly easy and smooth to pull the cord. I did a one hour test run with a full size side by side refrigerator, one lamp, one box fan, a charging iPad, and a Mac all at the same time. I never saw it resister above 25% or so and all went well. Ran nice and quiet. In some cases the refrigerator could create a major but very brief surge in watts (maybe 1,800 at the most) that might require powering up and stabilizing it before connecting the rest. I don't think it would be a problem once the refrigerator is cooled down. This is what we ran with a borrowed generator during Irma and it helped a lot, no lost food and reasonable comfort sleeping. The only problem is the fuel gauge does not work but I fully expect Westinghouse to make that right. I also plan to use it for some camping.

I bought this Westinghouse iGen2500 two weeks ago. Simple and easy to set up, just add the oil that came with the generator and gasoline and it cranked right up on the third pull. I let it warm up and then started connecting all of my appliances, 15,000 BTU AC, heater, refrigerator, and all the lights on our travel trailer. All appliances and lights work flawlessly running simultaneously. Very portable with a carry handle built in right on the top of the generator. Highly recommended for unknown emergencies.

I just received my iGen2500. Shipping was fast and the set up was easy. Took me about 5 minutes from opening the box to have it up and running. I literally opened the box grabbed the quick guide. Unscrewed 2 screws added the included oil, checked oil leve, put panel and 2 screws back on, filled with fuel and turned on the choke and pulled the cord 3 times, and it started right up. I actually supprised it fired up so easily on the 3rd pull as I was just pulling easy to prime the carb and make sure everything felt smooth. It runs smooth and the light up screen is great to monitor the unit.

Westinghouse got this mostly right on the second purchase. The first was returned due to damage to the spark plug and connector (apparently during manufacturing since no other damage was noted). This one had an extra bolt sliding around in the bottom of the case which, after careful inspection, didn't seem to belong anywhere (a bit unnerving to say the least). But the generator appears to do everything it was designed to do and, as a bonus, VERY QUIETLY! I just hope that it will be up to the task when it is actually needed.

I purchased this generator to run a sump pump and some lights when the power goes out. After shopping around, I don't think you can beat this unit for the price. It has more output than anything else in its class. The controls are very easy to understand and the manual is spot-on with details on maintaining this gem.

Bought this to run the 13.5k A/C on our RV. This should have enough power to run the A/C without an A/C soft start controller. This unit has more power than a similar unit for almost the same weight. Great User Manual, well written. I am finding spare consumable parts (air filter, fuel filter) are hard to find online. Really like the data (fuel gauge, power, volts, time) on the control panel

Just bought this model mainly because of other reviews. Read directions added oil that was provided, filled it with gas turn on the unit and adjusted the control to choke. Pulled the cord three times motor started up. I was surprised that it really isn’t that loud. I hooked up an outdoor heater to it, which draws 500watts then 1000 watts and finally 1500watts the generator reved up then leveled out at each stage. Still was quieter than most others I have heard! Simple to use, light weight and relatively quiet.
