we received the generator and poured the gas in. It all ran out the bottome. We discovered a tube that ran from the gas tank to the carburator wasn't even attached. My husband put it on and to undo it he had to grab it with pliers to unhook it. This proved to us that this was purely bad quality control. Westinghouse told us to return it to Sam's club.

I purchased this generator for my son, who lives in another state. When he received it, he found that it had a leaky fuel hose. Since he couldn’t easily return it, he called Westinghouse about how to repair it. We would appreciate help with this problem.

Cranked on 2nd pull it runs great, love the gauges, wish 2200 had that, going to pair it when I need too with the 2200 but easy to carrry about 48pounds so it’s not going anywhere! Both the 2500 and the 2200 make great partners if you need more power!

Fast and efficient shipping. I am impressed with the size and the set-up. Have not cranked it up yet but plan on real soon. Will update after I do it. I have paid attention to all the reviews so I think I'm ready to get it going. I'm excited with the camping prospect as well as back up in case of outages.

I bought this generator because the 1800/2000 watts are just not enough. I was looking at the Honda generators and this went on sale so I rolled the dice on the generator and im sure glad i did. I have a big 9000watt generator too but if you dont need that much power id rather save gas running this in a emergency scenario. Id buy this again!

The purchase process was easyish. I went to purchase in store and this wasn't sold in store. A call home and done before I left the store. Delivery was on time. The set up was easy even though the side panel was a little stubborn coming off. A few pulls of the cord and it started up. Much quieter than I expected.

Pretty quiet. Although I think it runs a bit noisier than the rated 53dB. Only hassle is draining the oil when changing. Even when tipping to the side with a funnel under it, the oil runs back into the unit, then drains out by the feet on the bottom and gets oil on surface for several days.

The iGen2500 is a great little generator, easy to start and long run time at 50% capacity. Like the extra bells and whistles on this unit from Sam's Club that are not on the same model bought elsewhere. Digital read out for various information is nice and the ability to link via the separate plug in.

So far ...So Good ..!! I would definitely recommend performing a Break-in run when originally prepping and starting this Generator. It IS NOT specified in the Manual. 1. Remove Spark Plug, place a few drops of Marvel Oil in Cylinder (saw this from another Reviewer, good idea), then replace Spark Plug. Be sure your Oil and Gas are filled. Then proceed to start Generator. It will smoke initially once started, but eventually will clear in a minute or two. Switch On the ECO Mode about every 15 minutes, then turn off ECO Switch and run 15 minutes. Do this for a period of a couple hours. Then, Open Oil spout, and run a Magnet pointer into the Crankcase to pickup any loose metal particles. Replace Oil and refill. Should be ready to go ..!!

I purchased two of these generators. When they ran they worked well. The problem was they often didn't run or ran poorly. Both generators would not restart when they were warmed up. I had to wait two hours with the first generator before I could start it again. I had to wait over night before I could restart the second generator. Shortly after the break in period it began to stumble badly. Every five seconds it would slow down and then speed up. sometimes while idling both generators would show faults with the indicator lights either the red overload light would be on or the green light was off and no others on. Customer service was very responsive and pleasant to deal with . However, they could not solve the problems. We tried fresh fuel and running the generator without a fuel cap. The air intakes were not plugged. I ran both of these generators 8 or 9 hours trying to fix the problems Everything we tried didn't work. I really wanted these generators to work out. Its hard to find a generator in this size that delivers 20 amps continuously. I tried my best to get them working properly and failed.
