Super quiet and very fuel Efficient!

This lightweight packs a big punch, there isn’t anything it can’t power (within it’s limits) would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a remote power supply option. Added oil and fueled up, it fired on the first pull and has been running flawlessly since day one.

great little generator

I have tested the generator couple of time at home before taking my trip where I will be using it for a long period of time, I have tested it with more than what I will be using on my trip and it is handling everything with no issues. my only concern is that the led control center is not lighting on and showing me the actual level of gas and the load lights are coming on every now and them. I will give it couple more try and will get in contact with westinghouse after that.

Great Generator but could use some improvements

Nice generator. I spent copious amounts of time researching a generator / inverter for my 5th wheel. It came down to the Honda 2000 watt vs the iGen2500. I wanted to be able to start and run the AC unit so I opted for the iGen2500 over the iGen2200. Yes it did! It was easy to setup and get running, from a out of the box to add oil and gas, it started on the 2nd pull. Suggestions and the reason for 4 stars vs 5: 1) It doesn't come with an hour meter. They are not an expensive item, not hard to install, and the unit requires maintenance based on a hourly runtime schedule. So one would think it would come with an hour meter. ( I purchased a Hardline hour meter for $20 an installed it in about 10 minutes.) The iGen2500 already has a digital display, so one would think an hour meter could be incorporated into the digital readout. FYI Westinghouse... including an hour meter would set you above everyone else and give you an edge when comparing brands, as no one else includes an hour meter on this size of generator. Just saying.... 2) Digital display, great feature but it has some issues, at least for us Americans. First, it's location on the very bottom of the generator makes it hard to read. Locating it on the top would have been a better location. 2nd: it displays the amount of fuel left in the tank in liters. In America where we use quarts / gallons, Quarts remaining would be better. 3rd: the readout for power output is in kilowatts, so the total kw is 2.0kw - 2.5kw, we use wattage to determine load / how many appliance we can power with a generator. So a reading in watts would be far more useful than in kilowatts. 4th: The digital readout rolls between each of 4 readouts, with a letter in front to indicate what the reading signifies. L = for fuel remaining ? how about F for fuel F = for remaining runtime? how about T for time I would like a way to add an external fuel tank for longer run times. Other than these items, I'm happy with my iGen2500 and would recommend it!

Great Generator

I bought this generator awhile ago but couldn't use it in the apartment. So I brought it down to my house in Puerto Rico. I use the generator at night to run basic needs like fans power battery chargers, but the greatest need is for myself and my wife's CPAC machines. Generator is easy to start, easy maintenance and generates power for our needs and beyond. The best feature is how quiet it runs.

Easy to use, reliable

I bought this generator recently as a backup for hurricanes, but it proved to be useful much sooner than expected during a winter storm. We were very pleased with how easy it was to learn its proper setup and use. It was very reliable over several days of power outages. Very glad to have this generator!

All the power we needed!

We recently bought a camper and decided we would like to have portable power, ordered this one after looking at the reviews and comparing other products. it started on the first pull and gave us all the power we needed(even running the microwave!) The only issue we had was,I had over filled the fuel tank, it kept vapor locking until the fuel level receded enough to stop the problem, I had to unscrew the fuel cap to let air in. took a little while as it doesn't use a lot of fuel, it ran over 8 hours on one fill up.

Great Value and the great options it has. This

This is my first Digital Inverter Generator I took it out of box and followed all the instructions to get it ready to work. Put the gas in it on the first pull it started right up. I ran a electric chainsaw for four hours with no problems. I purchased it for a power outage to run some things in my house or at my daughters house. We are very pleased with this Generator and look forward for many uses that we may incur over the future.

So Far so Good

I've had the 2500 for about a month or so and I'm pleased with it's performance. The operating instructions were clear and the maintenance points are well covered. I like that the igen is compact and portable. It will be handy during hurricane season.

Great little unit for camping

Bought this iGen2500 because it is only 46 lbs and is rated somewhere at 53/59dB. My old generator is 98lbs and about 70dB. It starts easy and is pretty quiet, although any load at all will cause it to increase RPM and noise level. Noticeably louder than my friends Honda 1600/2000, but it's more powerful. I'm hoping after I add a starter capacitor to my 13,500 BTU AC unit that it will be able to run that too. We'll see. Would prefer being able to check the oil without having to remove the side panel with a screwdriver (2 screws and 4 holding pins). Also, the digital screen is hard to read during daylight hours, and cycles 4 sets of numbers. It's supposed to show run time (since started?) and total run time (like an hour meter). Can't make any sense out of the numbers that show here, so I've put in a request from Westinghouse for an explanation. Expecting many years of RV use on this unit.

Great Dash Board

I broke this new generator in today and it went great. Started 3rd pull. Not bad. Ran the unit intermittently with a load for a couple of hours. The unit is as quite as a big name unit with less output that I paid three times as much for. The best feature of this unit for me is the info center. Especially the time to empty display. The dash board is easy to read in bright sunlight.
