Great compact design

This is a second generator for us to use during hurricane season. It will power our portable AC unit. Initial setup was easy and the start process is smooth. My wife loves the display that shows time remaining until empty. The compact size and lower noise level are great if we decide to use the generator elsewhere.

Check Spark Plug

Upon first start up and break in period the generator seemed to run ok, but as soon as and electrical load of more than 200 watts was plugged in, the greater would would have a significant surge and die. Thought it was a fuel system problem, read another reviewer indicating both of his new units had fouled spark plugs from factory, so I checked mine. The plug was not fouled, but cracked/broken. All good once a new spark plug inserted.

Perfect for CA Public Safety Power Shutoff Days

This generator is just what we need for the days our local electric company decides to shut off our power for fire safety reasons (PSPS). They are also upgrading the power poles (very slowly, over years) in our area so we plan to use this on the scheduled outage days. It's quieter than we expected and will run our fridge, modem and a few lights when we'd otherwise be in the dark.

ONE PULL FIRST START

Bought this last week and I love it. Simple design, easy to use and super quiet. Oil fill/check is a little cumbersome but no worries. This inverter is light, and it's an amazing buy. I love the digital readout and it's easy access features for all of my electrical needs.

Perfect Emergency Generator for our Family

I bought this a bit ago and it is perfect for our needs. Portable and quiet and enough power to keep key appliances and devices on in case of an outage. Not nearly as expensive as many of the other inverter generators and will be great for our family.

Great for Tailgates / Easy to Put into Operation

Perfect for tailgating and camping. The instructions are easy to understand and everything you need (except for gas, of course) is in the box to get this generator started. About the only recommendation I have is get a grounding stake and cable to prevent power spikes caused by static electricity. A great little generator.

Awesome quiet generator

Bought to have for the occasional storm that we lose power for a few hours to a day. It works like a charm, starts right up and is super quiet. Comes with everything you need, oil, spark plug wrench just buy gas. This comes in at a great price too. I am very happy with purchase.

Quiet and powerful

Received the iGen2500 about a week ago. Setup instructions were clear and simple and took about 5 minutes. Started up first pull. Very quiet, particularly in the Efficiency Mode which drops the idle down to deliver only the power that is needed. I learned quickly that to power high demand equipment, like a compressor, it is best to take it out of Efficiency mode to start it, which makes sense as the surge current takes a few seconds for the generator to ramp up to speed. Otherwise, all my tests of power delivery, volume, etc. are great! Time will tell on longevity.

As expected, very happy with my purchase.

So after A LOT of research on portable generators in the 2,200W and 2,500W range, watching YouTube Videos, and even going to a few stores to check some out, I chose the iGen2500. I really wanted the camo one, but couldn't find one anywhere. :( Maybe because it's camouflaged... Ha! Westinghouse has a phenomenal reputation for it's quality products, it has the digital display for estimated running time, fuel level, output wattage, lifetime hours and more. The fact that you can see how many running hours it has so you know when to change the oil etc, is a huge bonus. I also like that it has an self venting fuel cap where I don't have to turn it on and off each time. One less step to start it. I added the oil that came with it, added gas, and it started up on the first pull. It's a well built machine and definitely a higher quality than some of the others I looked at. I'm very happy with my purchase and hoping it will last me a long time. If George Westinghouse (and Nikola Tesla) can build generators for Niagara Falls, they can build one for me. :) Westinghouse has been building quality generators longer than anyone else.

The Little Generator That was just right

So I bought this as a back up power supply when we loose power at the house after a yearly wind storm or some drives into a near by power pole that I swear happens 3 times a year. Generac makes the exact same generator. So I found that other smaller generators don’t make quite enough power for my needs and I didn’t want one of the bigger ones that are usually around 100lbs. This was the size that was just right and only Westinghouse and generac make it. Light enough for me to still carry around. Just changed to oil at 10 hours and didn’t find metal shavings like you usually do! Carburetor bowl has a screw with a drain hose. Easy to drain after each use. The built in gauge is awesome. I don’t think generac has the gauge on there’s. Overall well designed thoughtful product.
