Started right up. The ability to use propane or gasoline is really awesome. I have not had to use it yet for emergencies but don't doubt it will work as expected. Only thing that seems sub-par is the oil plug. It has already cross threaded and not sure why it is not a stronger piece of plastic. I will likely try and get another one, perhaps one that is a bit stronger. That is minor though.

Comparison shopped and ultimately chose this Westinghouse model for use as an emergency power source. Easy set up and comes with everything you need to start it up less your fuel choice. Not electric start but started right up. The quality of this generator gives me peace of mind knowing it will be ready in an emergency.

I research this generator for a week and found it would work nicely for my needs. I needed a generator that would run my AC ( I live in a very hot City, it was over 100 deg. the first day I started up this generator ) in my Travel Trailer while I was at home getting it ready for my next trip. This generator was able to keep the AC running as well as all the lights and other electrical items I need to use. I look forward to using it on my next boondocking trip. I have only ran it on propane so far but I am happy i can run it on gasoline if I have to. It is stated the the noise level is 68db but I think it may be even lower. The only thing i can say that is bad is... a lot of reviews say it came with ball baring wheel baring and my unit did not have them. This is a very good generator for the price.

We had a power outage in Texas. It is summer and we had no electricity meaning no air conditioner. I bought this product and plugged it into my refrigerator, freezer, 2 fans and small electronics and ran it for 1 1/2 days feeling it up twice. It served us perfectly. I bought this generator for my family because we were running our firework stand and it was really cold and we were staying in a tent so we needed a generator to plug in extension cords so that we can plug-in the heaters and literally the generator ran all night and it kept us warm!

Love all the options with this Generator. Multiple plug types and optional fuel is great for our camper. We don't dry camp often but power was an issue one time when we almost ran out of gas. We left a day early to prevent this and having this unit could have got us enough time. One feature I wish these or any other generator had is a tube that routes draining the oil as it is always a mess. No matter how you try to prevent it, oil just seems to get on something and makes a mess but placement of the drain or a tube that routes to an open space would definitely help and be a big feature for someone to make the purchase.

I got this for two reasons, to run tools and to run my camper about a month ago. When I first started it up it took me only 2 pulls. That has been the case every time since when cold. When warm it is only ever one pull. It is louder than my quiet generator, but still much quieter than most other generators that compare in size. Operation is very simple and I love the ability to change from 120-240. Instructions were great as well. When I put this generator under load it hardly even seems to bog down at all. It has run for 11 hours and I can't wait to keep using it. It is too heavy to load by yourself, but that's to be expected.

4th Generator purchased for Hurricane Ida and the best one by far. Dual fuel feature and quietness of unit is far better than all 3 other units. Ease of assembly much better and oil access with screw on funnel fantastic and a lot less messy than others.

I received and unpacked it. It seems very well built. I put oil in which was made easy by funnel provided, put on wheels which was also very easy. Put on feet which was made easier with welded on nuts. Came with everything to use Lp but the Tank! smaller than I thought it would be but that is a plus. Moves around easily and handle pushes down for more space for storage. I bought this because of the duel fuel capability because the one I have isn't.

After Hurricane Beryl I was out of power for the next few days and I ended up purchasing the WGen5300. It was easy to setup and small enough to go through my doors of the house when I was taking it outside. My family ended up staying at the living room of our house where I powered up a portable ac unit, a light fixture, a charging station for our devices, and Wi-Fi. I'm pretty sure I could have plugged up a tv but in the next 10 hours my neighborhood got the electricity back. Overall, I am satisfied and that I can depend on the WGen5300 for any power outages to my house.
