This pergola was perfect for our space. It was easy to assemble. Recommends extra help when setting up the posts but my husband and I figured out a way to do by ourselves. Had it assembled in about 7 hours or so. Looks and feels like very nice. Wood color and black hardware looks like it should cost more. Was delivered earlier than expected. Delivered to our drive in 3 boxes. We moved the contents to area where we planned to put up the pergola by opening the boxes, and moving each piece to backyard. Once 4 posts were up, husband competed by himself. Highly recommend this pergola. We plan to enclose one end for privacy from neighbor.

I purchased two of these in 2023 on sale for $809 a piece. I wanted something cedar but with a more solid top. Therefore I made a modification to the structure that added a slope an additional beams for the load capacity. I then put the slats provided on top of the knee structure and then roofed the entire thing with Ondura premium panels. These panels are light weight, easy to install, and have withstand several years of rain, snow and sunlight.

I've been looking at this gazebo for quite some time, but I kept second guessing it! By the time I purchased it, I was really getting excited! I must say it turned out exactly like I wanted it to look! I love it so much. I paid three guys to come out and set it up for me. It took them probably about five hours. I love it. I love it. I love it. I sit outside every single day. In perfect bliss!! Best money ever spent!! ***Attempted to attach photos several times different days and it won't “perform the operation”. Ugh. But love this pergola!

In my opinion this is a nice addition to our backyard patio. I took a couple days setting up. laid out all the materials and then started the setup. a couple pieces that were missed in thr drilling process but simple fix. You want a nice pergolla then purchase this one. Heavy duty but easy to setup if you have any construction knowledge at all.. if you dont have construction knowledge it is still pretty simple. Written directions and an online tutorial available. (which I didn't use). It was also on sale at Sams club which was a selling point and happened to be the last one at my nearest club. if you want a pergolla.. get this one is my suggestion.

I can’t speak to durability of the pergola because it is new. The wood seems to be in good condition although a few pieces were warped. I was able to pull the war page out during install. The best part of this purchase is the amazing customer service and support from Backyard Discovery. They are amazing and very responsive. They helped me with every question and provided everything I needed including some extra parts and hardware at not charge. I want to thank Backyard Discovery for everything to make the pergola awesome!

Poor design. The beams for the long sides have doublers to keep the beam stiff. However the short sides do not causing cracking when attempting to raise them up. Also, it's poor quality wood. One of the main posts has a split approx. 2 feet long which if left unfixed, will allow moisture in cause rot from this inside out .

I have never had a "kit" to build something where every hole lined up, not only was all the hardware there, but there were extras of every piece, and it all went together easily. My sone and I did most of the work, and we had a third helper for a couple hours to erect it and attach the side beams. 6 1/2 hours from start to finish it was done. I really like this Pergola and am very pleased with this purchase.

We customized our pergola… first I painted all the boards white. I used a white stain, it was way more work than I had hoped. However it looks beautiful. We also had to raise it up a bit to clear a window and I used different metal brackets to secure it to the concrete pad where it sits. Our house gets crazy windy so I wasn't taking any chances. The final customization was the most elaborate and the least time consuming… we shrank it down a bit so it would fit on a pre-existing concrete pad. It is so perfect for the spot! Absolutely love it and would have more on just the raw materials from the hardware store. Buying this kit saved us money and made the whole thing turn out sharp and sturdy. I am happy. Would I paint it white again. Haha! Yes and no. It was so many boards. Two coats. Took two gallons of stain in the end.

After 9 months, I'm coming back to review. This was a fantastic purchase. The assembly was in an afternoon, with me and my husband, but I could have assembled it alone. The quality is excellent, and it looks the same as the day we installed it. Don't worry, buy it.

We had a few contractors give us bids for up to $55,000 a patio cover. Instead, I butted two of these end to end to make a 28' x 10' and covered it with metal roofing purchased locally. With everything all said and done, including tax, metal roofing and delivery, and a handyman to do most of the assembly work, the grand total was right around $3,500. The metal roof, once secured, really locked everything down tight. There is very little movement in any direction. I'm very pleased. Now I'm going to seal the wood with CedarSeal and install some rolling blinds. Good luck with your project!
