I had never used another brand until a family member picked up charcoal for me, and brought home a store brand. Unlike my Kingsford Match Light, I couldn't get it lit, couldn't get it to STAY lit once I finally got it started, and dinner took forever to cook. I did notice a difference in how quickly it lit the last time I used it (first time grilling in a while), and was very pleased. An improvement on an already superior product!

I buy this brand all the time, and have never had a problem. I don't normally make gripes, but I just bought a large bag of Match Light Charcoal, opened it and the very first pour will not light. Normally, I would recommend this product, and probably will do so in the future, but I am very disappointed with the latest results.

I always used Match Light and loved how easy it was. Something has changed drastically. I have bought three different bags from three different stores and none of them would light. they were all bought to be used immediately. It's frustrating because it's not like you can bring it back to the store to get your wasted money back. I will not be wasting my money on this product any longer

Do not but this charcoal it did have lighter fluid in it i had to use car gasoline to get it to light and after lit before I started cooking all ready burned out meat was still raw with blood did not finish cooking my food iam never buying again matchlight charcoal as long as I live match charcoal is match light garbage iam sticking to meatless burger restaurants the rest of my life iam taking my charcoal girll to trash dump and throw it away And eat plant based foods off frying pan fried in sun flower oil and olive oil and eat vegetables and fruits and fat free milk the rest of my life and eat healthy the rest of life this match light charcoal is trash light charcoal I don't recommend this charcoal to nobody inless you want raw food

I purchased a bag at Walmart day before Memorial Day. I tried to grill out day after and it took 20 mins to get the coals lit. Today I tried to grill out again and same issue. They did not instantly light at all. I ended up destroying the coals + extra and thru in trash.

The first bag I bought was fantastic, the charcoal lit, no problem, and I was ready to grill in about 10 minutes. I was so happy with the ease of this that I bought another bag when I ran out of the first one. I could not get the charcoal to light at all and one long matchstick after the next just sat there and burned out. Very disappointed. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but even then, I would imagine a quality control check would have caught that. Based on my first experience, I would have given this super high marks, but my second experience was entirely a bust. :-(

I bought a bag of Match Light to take a baseball game to tailgate beforehand. We could not get the coals to light. We even tried burning part of the bag to ignite the coals. Still didn’t work. We ended up eating the overpriced food in the ballpark spending about $150 rather than the good food we brought.

I had picked up a bag in the local grocery for a small gathering I was responsible for cooking the charcoal would not light I had to go get a bottle of lighter fluid and use about half of it to get the charcoal to burn. I have used your product in the past not sure why this product failed and unfortunately I burned the bag trying to get it lit I was agitated and didn't think to get the UPC code. I'm sure I will use it again but I just wanted to let you know of my dissatisfaction.

I purchased this product for ease of use so that my wife could barbeque easily while I was a way from the campground, working. I passed on the store brand match light for quality assurance. The Kingsford Match light would not light. It took tinder and kindling to get the charcoals going. So much for ease of use.

I haven’t used charcoal in years because I had a gas grill. I don’t have a grill anymore and just wanted a “one time use” grill for a holiday. I bought an inexpensive Kingsford grill and match light charcoal at a dollar store. Cooked out and made burgers, hot dogs, and chicken. Everything cooked nicely and tasted great. Thanks!
