We've used pop-up canopies for years to get a little shade in our backyard. They have been a nightmare to anchor and many have succumbed to winds and thunderstorm damage. We decided to get a pergola this year and are glad we did. The sturdy design is great and it was easy to assemble. We added a cheap sun shade sail from Amazon. Could not be happier!

Easy to assemble. Some of the wood pieces were warped but overall good quality. My only issue I had was anchoring the pergola to a paver patio. We sheared off a few of the bolts when ratcheting them in. They should provide better quality concrete bolts for the anchoring. However after anchoring the pergola was really solid.

I was able to keep everything I had on my patio which was actually a lot. I love the wood color and the way the ceiling looks. I actually put this together myself and it was the very first thing that came out right the first time around. Usually I manage to put something together wrong but the instructions were very easy to follow.

My husband bought this pergola as an impulse purchase. Usually, that is a bad thing. Proving even a broken clock is right 2 times a day, he could not have gotten this purchase more right. The modern look is exactly what I would have chosen over others that are too ornate and busy. The wood version looks like it should much more expensive than it was. I'm very happy!
