I have used this product in the past. However, the ingredients ended up concerning me so I switched to something else. The concentration of salicylic acid is so high that it can cause irritation. Also, since it’s in a cleanser it is less effective since it’s washed off before it can really sink into the skin.

When I was a teenager and had horrible hormonal cystic acne this did nothing. Now that I'm in my thirties I have more sensitive skin and just occasional breakouts this is nice in the summer. Gentle and doesn't really smell like anything. Cleans well without stripping just don't get it near your eyes. If you have sensitive skin on the oiler side and occasional breakouts this is nice. If you really struggle with acne this might not be strong enough, though I have used it as a gentle acne cleanser when on harsher treatments like retinol. Dermatologists recommend it for those reasons, and my derm recommended it to me. It's a good price and while there are generics I feel they are watery and don't clean and foam as well as the original. I have taken a star off because CeraVe just released a new acne cleanser with the same amount of salicylic acid and it's bigger so a better price. It's too soon to know for sure but I might like it better, I'll update this review and review the CeraVe cleanser in a bit.

I’ve used this stuff in high school and it’s worked so well for me! It’s definitely oil free, doesn’t have much of a scent. The packaging is always nice and clean with them! It’s worth it for the price. Give it a try if you have a combination skin type!

I myself use this and i got soem for my 13yr old daughter and she came to me the other night and said dont forget to get me more Neutrogena acne cause I need it _ let's just say she doesnt do alot if she really has to but this prodcut has made her really start washing & taking care of her face.

I had high hopes for the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, but it proved to be a harsh disappointment for my sensitive skin. The formula left my skin feeling stripped and uncomfortably dry, contrary to its "oil-free" claim. The overpowering fragrance caused redness and a burning sensation. Instead of improvement, my acne worsened, leading me to believe the product's aggressive formula is unsuitable for those with sensitive skin. I won't be continuing use and will be seeking a gentler alternative.

I loved this oil free acne wash, it help me get rid of some of my stubborn acne that just wouldn’t go away. At first you do get more acne, but that is just all what you had. Believe me when I say it works miracle’s! I would highly recommend this acne wash.

Neutogena Oil- Free Acne Wash has been an essential part of my daily skin routine for the last 2-3 years. Because, it has a salicylic acid (2%) which has been helping me a lot to reduce my acne and eliminates oil and unclogs pores. It has a nice and light smell. Before, I used it I had very oily skin but now much better so nowadays I use it only once a day. In my experience, it’s really beneficial for oily skin.

I really love this face wash even at the age of 44 I use it and my face dies not break out anymore. I love the pump style jar it comes in and my face feels so clean and fresh after using it. This is me right after my shower before I apply my moisturizer.

i just tried this product today & used it as soon as i got home. it seemed to work really well to take off the skin care products i had on, but my face was extremely dry and stiff after using it. i have tried their “morning burst” exfoliating cleanser as well and had the same result. i don’t know if it’s just my face being weird though lol. it also contains cocamidopropyl betaine which is derived from coconut oil soooo uhm wyd neutrogena???
