It caused my skin to go completely dry and irritated, my skins different and this stuff did not help at all. I was in so much pain and red that it felt like I got sunburnt and then stung by wasps. The smell was terrible. It smelled like I was putting metal cleaner on my face

My skin had some acne which comes around every summer, so I used this face wash to get rid of it. The worse decision I made! I read the reviews prior to buying it and despite reading about the drying out I thought my skin would be different. It was not! All that happened was that now instead of having just acne, my skin is dry and is losing its glow. I have gorgeous brown skin and now it looks uneven and dry. Do not buy this product until they take all those drying agents out!

Do not buy this product! You’ve been warned! I’m actually very disappointed that Neutrogena would market this product as a “gentle” cleanser (haha!) At least call it what it is, a very abrasive cleansing agent. Unfortunately, I learned after the fact that sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate can be very drying. Needless to say my face is on fire! Parts of my Facebook are swollen. My skin, which was once almost baby smooth is rough. I’m terrified that this product has done some lasting damage to my skin or will cause a massive outbreak due to the irritation. All of this after having used this produce for three days (shows you how potent the irritant is)! This product is a far, far cry from gentle.

I used this product ONCE on my face before bed. I woke up to tiny bumps all over my face and extremely dry, peeling skin. The following 3 days I’ve had burning pain and peeling skin. I have extremely oily skin and this made my face extremely painful. I have tried using a moisturizer and nothing seems to help. DO NOT BUY.

I have combination skin that has always been prone to breakouts and feel like I have tried everything out there. Proactiv made my breakouts worse and nothing else has seemed to make my skin feel healthy until this. Since I began using this product a few months ago I have started to have clear skin (except for a few blemishes during that time of the month). I use this with the intensive daily moisturizer and light night cream and it works like a charm! I will never buy any other facial cleanser ever again!

This was the first cleanser that I've ever bought when I was a teenager and it helped me combat acne at an early age. It works well with any skin and cleanses your face perfectly. It has a clean scent and very inexpensive. I'll buy I'll over and over again

I highly recommend this amazing product since it's really help me with my acne and don't longer have no more acne in my face.the scent is a little strong but it's ok because it's really work with acne I absolutely recommend too because the price is not expensive and the packaging is great too.

I have been using this face wash for about 25 years. I used to break out pretty regularly until started using this so I never plan to stop. It doesn't dry my face out and keeps breakouts away. I tried a hundred products before this one and it is by far the best!

This cleanser is VERY strong, so strong in fact it will remove the top layer of your skin. I’m not even kidding. A week has gone by and I am STILL suffering with the chemical burns and very dry skin. The skin around my eyes was so badly damaged it looked like I had two black eyes! And this lasted for about 4 days! >:/ my skin is very red and very sore, I can’t moisturise, I can’t even wear makeup to hide this mess because anything I put on my face absolutely BURNS!! I would not recommend this product to anyone.

This product works very well. When i tell you that i have really bad acne majority of the time and when my step mom started me on this it went away in a weeks time. It has a light scent not strong at all. It is very silky when you put it in your hand. The packaging was great. i suggest putting some on a wet towel then washing your face like that and it works 10x more than when you use your hands
