Disgusting

This is absolutely awful. First off the color of the meat is white and brown not pink. There is very little fat and is very dry. I was perplexed and looked into this type of fish. it is a type of salmon and its commonly called Chum or Dogfood fish. Its is in fact used in dog food. it is very strong hence the stong marinade. it tastes nothing like the other types of salmon. Very disappointed that Sams would carry this. Time for some mouthwash and a trip to the trash can.

Excellent wild caught salmon with seasoning!

Excellent taste and wild caught, which is important for the health benefits. Many people don’t understand how farmed fish interbreeding (as well as their diet) loses many of the health benefits in comparison to wild caught fish. For example, the omega oil ratios decrease in farmed fish. This is worth the price, we eat it weekly and it’s easier to prepare since it’s preseasoned. I just really hope Sam’s continues to stock this salmon because they’ve discontinued carrying a few of my other favorites (such as the plain/unseasoned wild caught salmon, breaded tilapia, and Dasani water)

Worst Members Mark Product Ever!

I am always happy to praise a Members Mark product when it hits the "mark"; this one DID NOT! It was fishy and the sauce was really garlicky and just plain bad! Regretting we bought two boxes and had to throw it all out. It seems Sam's Club should not try to knock-off everything in an effort to bring popular products to the shelves at a cheaper price point. The brand name they used to carry was delicious and should be brought back immediately!

never again

This was not even salmon? The fish was white/gray and fishy. The marinade tasted of nothing. Oily salty paprika. I would not get this again because the fish was really strange i could not eat anything after the first bite. I have enjoyed other members mark frozen food but this is just a clear no.

Saturated Fat

I think its strange that this "wild caught salmon has a whooping18% saturated fat. " If a package labeled "wild-caught" claims to have such high fat levels, it may be a case of mislabeling. Here is a breakdown of why this discrepancy might exist: Mislabeling (Farmed as Wild): The most common reason for high fat content in a "wild" product is that it is actually farm-raised. Farmed salmon are fed high-fat, processed diets to make them grow faster, resulting in more body fat and white fat marbling. Species Variation: While most wild salmon is lean, certain types, particularly Pacific Chinook (King) salmon, are naturally fattier and higher in fat than others. However, even this rarely hits levels typically associated with 18% of total fat content being saturated. Contaminants: Farmed salmon often has double the total fat and a higher percentage of saturated fat compared to wild, which is considered a leaner, healthier option. The Healthy @Reader's Digest"

Not for me

I really wanted to like this product but the seasoning is excessive. I guess that is OK if you don't want to know you're eating salmon. Also, I was disappointed at the skin-on aspect as the other product that I usually buy has no skin. Back to my previous product.

Fishy Fish

Great in theory, grody execution! I bought this to try since the blackened salmon Sam's has been MIA for months. The smell of the marinade made my tummy churn so I assumed it would be over seasoned. Nope.....It taste super fishy and flavorless. Doesn't taste like salmon, and the quality of he fish is awful. Do better!

WHERE IS THE BLACKENED SALMON!?

I bought this because I have been unable to find the blackened salmon, what a mistake that was. This salmon is absolutely disgusting and I immediately threw away the entire package after one bite. Will never purchase this again. PLEASE BRING BACK THE BLACKENED SALMON!

Marinated Salmon Filets

It's nice to have individually packaged, frozen salmon filets on hand in the freezer for a quick dinner. The price is good compared to grocery stores. Quality of salmon is good; few pin bones. These are skin on one side which adds more flavor & moisture. Marinade is nice, yet it is easy to modify for personal tastes. They are a staple in our home.

Poor quality substitute for previous product

Like many, I bought this because their excellent blackened salmon was no longer available. This is a very poor substitute - darker colored fish flesh, smaller pieces boosted by lots of skin, no flavor except for the spices, which were somewhat similar to the blackened salmon. Will never buy this again. Just like their honey - used to be good and then switched to poorer quality substitute.
