Easy start, quieter than expected, handle system makes moving it easy, changing fuel source is simple with the dual fuel selector. Tested the generator through the electrical panel for the house. It easily ran all we need should we be without power again this winter. We’re ready.

Plenty of power for all of the important things in my house after a storm knocked out the power for several days! I’ve suggested this model to several friends and coworkers since receiving it! Only problem was a hole in the fuel line just behind the fuel petcock

I bought this almost a year ago and I'm glad I did. It's a great unit. Used it on many camping trips and om many jobs that I had to do with no power. It powered everything I need to complete the work. I also like that I can switch from gas to propane.

Generator might work fine but I haven't been able to set it up yet due to living at high elevation and needing many components changed like the carburetor jet and the propane jet and maybe the HA regulator and carburetor kit. Calling Westinghouse to get the correct parts has been difficult, even though they have been nice, as they keep sending me one of the needed items at a time and the representatives do not let me know all of the items I will need on one phone call. Shipping each time is $10 and adds up, and instead of selling me the one item I need I have to buy four of the same item costing $20 instead of $5. The costs add up fast and I regret buying a westinghouse as I also purchased a smaller firman generator and they sent me the carburetor jet free with no shipping either. If you don't need any help with the generator, like living at an altitude below 1000 feet, then it's probably a good buy. If you live above 1000 feet in altitude then you'll need special parts to compensate for loss of combustion efficiency and could ruin your generator if you don't buy them, and if you call westinghouse you might end up needing further help to figure all of what you need as the representatives are not helping you by letting you know all of what you need for your generator and the details on the items are very brief and so you cannot figure it out yourself.

We purchased this generator after a hurricane when our electric power was out for an extended time. We fueled it with gasoline and used it to power our refrigerator and an upright freezer on and off for a total of about 20 usage. We also used it to power a floor fan. It worked well. We plan to us it again if we have another extended outage.

Lost power for 24 hours. Had bought the generator ahead of time. Was able to plug my furnace fan and lights into it and keep the house toasty and well lit. Just for curiosity I plugged my 220 shop heater into it and it handled it just fine. Runs fairly quiet, I am quite happy with this generator. Might even take it camping with me.

Saved us during the long term power outage after hurricane Beryl. Was able to run my freezer, refrigerator, small AC, and a few lights. Ran flawlessly for 5 days while power was out. Hope I don’t need it again for this type of service, but happy I have it just in case! Serviced it and drained the fuel from the carb for storage along with some fuel stabilizer in the tank. Should be ready to go for next time.

Bought this generator to have for household backup. I knew I wanted the dual fuel option and looked at several brands. I had previously purchased a Westinghouse pressure washer, which I have found to be very reliable, so I opted for the brand I knew I could trust. With the dual fuel option, a 240v plug, and 5300 running watts, this is a good package for the price. Only drawback, I could find with it so far is the wheels are just plastic with no bearings in them, no big thing.

I bought this two weeks ago and so far, I'm very pleased with how clear and concise the directions were for installing the wheels and that the tools required were included in the packaging. Although I am not looking forward to another weather event like Beryl, I do feel certain that I will be able to have electricity in my home should we lose power again.

Arrived 7/5/24, unboxed and installed wheels and shock absorbers. Added oil, connected LP fuel. Pulled starter cord and it would retract. Was damaged during shipping. Straightened housing and started up after a couple pulls. Hopefully CS will send new recoil to replace damaged one.
