The WGen5300DFv features a powerful 274cc 4-Stroke OHV Westinghouse Engine with a cast iron sleeve designed for durability, featuring a built-in fuel gauge and automatic low oil shutdown. It’s equipped with an L14-30R outlet which is Transfer Switch Ready to supply total household power and eliminate annoying extension cords through your home. Combined with an RV Ready TT-30R 30A outlet that conveniently hooks to your recreational vehicle, it keeps the air conditioner and travel necessities up and running all day long. The WGen5300DFv is easy to use with an intuitive control panel which houses a 120/240 Volt Selector Switch to draw more power with added flexibility for appliances like a well pump and a VFT Data Center to keep up with regularly scheduled maintenance. Engineered into a compact hardened-steel frame with never-flat wheels, it’s easy to bring this generator from storage to use.

Really Disappointed generator & CS

Received mine Sept 14 2020. Followed the instructions to a tee and went thru the generator checked and double checked before starting. Hooked up my LP tank and 3rd pulled fired right up and I was stoked. Upon starting noticed white smoke bellowing from exhaust. Said to myself probably got tossed around in shipping so I will wait during my 1hr break in with no load according to manual. After 30min still blowing white smoke so I continued on with the break in period. After 1hr of running still blowing white smoke so I shut it off and checked oil level. Dip stick showed it had dropped well below half way mark on the cross hatches. Next day went to fire it up again in case tinker bell had some how fixed the issue during the night. Once started continued to blow smoke and after 10 min shut it down. Each time I shut it off I would wait 30min to 45min for the oil to settle so i could check. But this time dip stick showed oil well below, this told me it was burning oil fast. Drained what ever oil was left to get ready for return and could tells significant oil loss which told it was a internal problem in the motor. Contacted Westinghouse CS in regards to the issue on Sept.14th. 2020 and she started and opened a case #SC64858. Told me a technician would get back with me. As of writing this Sept.19th 2020, still no one has gotten back with. Generator was returned.

Don’t buy any generator from Sam’s

I ordered this generator to take to family in Louisiana after Hurricane Ida. The generator was delivered to me in a horrific condition. I’ll let the attached pictures speak for themselves. Westinghouse customer service is horrible. I’ve been waiting on a response from them for over a week. I just called again yesterday and a third part service is answering and just taking messages. Do not buy any Westinghouse product if you’re looking for good customer service. I know they have slot of positive reviews on the website but that’s because they give you a free generator cover if you complete a review with omg the first 30 days of purchase. What really goes wrong within the first 30 days unless you receive a beat up unit like I did which you can see by the pictures I’m posting.

Not well made.

Frame was poorly made , the nuts welded to the frame to attach the feet were crooked, so you couldn’t put the bolts in without stripping or breaking them off.
